Uncharted: Drake's Racing Adventure
Engage in some vehicular combat as you race for treasure. Hey, it's only fair. Crash Team Racing, Jak X, and now this. I'd be all over it.
lol The box art for this is fugly. There's nothing new here that I haven't had for over a year and a half now. Why would anyone want this version. : / Well, I suppose if you couldn't afford it, but Sony really needs to redo their greatest hit designs. They're terribad. I'd rather print custom designs than buy this "I'm cheap, buy me!" version.
Coming from a person who's actually played most of those games, Final Fantasy XIII is a masterpiece that is criminally underrated.
While the Yakuza series has had a great story, the gameplay has left something to be desired. Final Fantasy XIII has both in spades. Resonance of Fate has great gameplay mechanics, but a terrible story. Demons Souls has excellent world-building but doesn't have any of the thrills Final Fantasy XIII has, though it is challenging. Nier is, w...
Seems to me people have forgot about LittleBigPlanet 2 and Dead Space 2...
Not going to disagree there. Bayonetta is on an entirely different level. The combat has yet to be surpassed... period. What many people don't realize is that it was also a great deal of fun. Non-stop action filled with some of the greatest satire to grace the medium. Bayo is just lovely.
However, God of War III is the better game. It had a better story, and completed the character cycle of the anti-hero Kratos. It's presentation was mesmerizing. The art-style was to ...
Less special effects and graphical fidelity.
I never could understand this kind of thinking. It's not tough at all. I actually enjoy the original in some ways more than Among Thieves. For instance, I loved the setting of the original more. I also thought the original had a more emotional story. I thought Drake was more endearing in this iteration as well. And some of the gunplay (gun porn) was more intense in certain areas.
"I think this game will be great but there are some out there that would see fit to pad the numbers or bring them down."
Someone could say the very same of the writer for AV.
Wow, what a great review. This is what I look for in quality. History, mechanics, flaws, narrative design, and atmosphere... all are covered in extensive detail. I'm actually thinking of picking this up now because of the review. It was a joy to read. Thank you Dan Lee. Festival of Blood can wait.
Love your avatar. Nice job with the contrast.
I doubt Hennig will be revisiting LoK, but I'm sure Naughty Dog will consider letting her design their next game/IP for PS4. ^_^ And anything Hennig puts out is gold.
Before anybody gets excited. This is not a first-party studio. This is a facility used for prototyping games from developers who would wish to put content on the PlayStation platforms in Singapore. Sony Computer Entertainment Asia is still growing.
When did I ever mention kissing ass? If anything, all they need to do is explain why they feel the way they do. Use specific examples. If you feel the mechanics left something to be desired, express how you felt they should have changed, or, better yet, just note the areas in which the mechanics went horribly bad. Basically, be specific.
There's ways to do that without spoiling the story or experience. Yet this writer doesn't seem to take notice. Trust me, I have noth...
Sony will probably black list them after this. If they want to review the game, they'll have to wait 'til launch. Sony sure won't send them an early copy. Take this as a lesson aspiring journalists on how not to write a review.
This is a duplicate just so everyone knows. Eurogamer Portugal and Eurogamer.pt are the same thing. So this review has been official counted twice.

Horrible graphics? I beg to differ. I'll give you the awful story bit though. It was terribad.
Exactly. Explanations beyond the review (except in minor cases) just goes to show the review was poorly written. Reviews are supposed to explain why they awarded the game thusly. Beyond that is just plain stupid. Gaming journalism is ridiculous. Critics need more exposure beyond the realm of games and need to realize there is more to games than technical prowess.
By the way, this has nothing to do with Uncharted 3, and everything to do with poor journalistic trends in the gam...
Wow, this article is strangely ironic:
"Whenever there is a popular install base to communicate on any subject, there will always be those who use common sense, good humour and a general all round sense of goodwill and then there are those who will deliberately aggravate conversations for their own enjoyment (that’s a troll you see…) and those who’s sense of fanaticism grows outwards to abuse anyone who does not share their view – usually in a rant a paragraph long that ...
I just did, didn't I? They could believe some awards shows will honor games like Portal 2, Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Forza 4, Gears of War 3, Deus Ex, or Dark Souls instead. It could happen. We don't know. But thanks for clarifying what you mean by GotY, because I thought you were being insanely ignorant by acting like GotY has already been decided upon by gamers the world over. 'Cause that would be ridiculous.
Maybe they honestly believe Portal 2, Arkham City, Battlefield 3, Forza 4, Gears of War 3, Deus Ex, or Dark Souls deserves GotY. I'd think it obvious why someone might disagree. Especially since everyone has their own personal GotY, even if Uncharted 3 hasn't come out yet. Awards shows are nice to show appreciation, but they are not the end all is all.
Maybe because 10 doesn't mean perfect. It means masterpiece or instant classic. There's a difference.
I think there's plenty of games that have deserved such praise: Uncharted 1 and 2 (haven't played the third yet), God of War III, Bayonetta, Batman: Arkham Asylum (haven't played Arkham City), Heavy Rain, and Mass Effect. BioShock and Vanquish will likely join them when I finish them.
And of course, there have been many games that are far ...
