Believe it or not, there are people who really enjoyed the original and thought it was perhaps the best of the lot. Some are even worried that XIII-2 will go the way of X-2. The west may not appreciate the game, but there are a ton of people in the east who do. I wouldn't be surprised if America was actually in the minority with their elitist attitudes.
Just remember, Nintendo. There are many, myself included, who have boycotted all things Nintendo until NoA gets its head out of its ass and announces this for America. Quit leading us on and give us a straight answer!
Yeah, that and Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I'd add Folklore and Splinter Cell: Conviction (Platinum Hits version) as well.
EDIT: And who can forget Valkyria Chronicles? Such a beautiful cover.
Yeah, but working for a developer will do that to you. If you're going to work QA, you want to go with a rock solid publisher like Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, EA, or Activision. They do testing all year round as the studios that work under them all borrow from the same pool. That's why you'll see Sony Quality Assurance in the credits of games like God of War III, Uncharted 2, Warhawk, and just about every other Sony game. Same goes for most other publishers.

Really? Because the last five games I've played from the west all involved killing things. Maybe not with guns, but pretty close: inFamous, Medal of Honor, Halo: Reach, Call of Duty, and Mass Effect. Battlefield 3 comes out later this year. Uncharted 3 as well. Same for Modern Warfare 3, Resistance 3, Gears of War 3, and BioShock Infinite. Ghost Recon hits this holiday as well.
Metro: Last Light, Rainbow Six, Mass Effect 3, Medal of Honor 2, Far Cry 3, The Darkness 2, and...
Am I the only one depressed by the fact that this is yet another shooter? I'm starting to get sick and tired of the West.
lol No, the original's story was merely okay. The ending was superlative, but that doesn't make up for the meh of the first fifteen hours. The story is much better in the sequel. So much better! Acting is better. There's more emotion on screen. Has a better script. Better characters. Better everything pretty much.
The flair might have worn off a bit, but that doesn't make it a better game. Nostalgia, much? I honestly can't understand anyone who prefers the...
Same. The last couple missions before the big jump were easily some of the best moments I've had in gaming. I don't want to spoil anything, but basically once you get Kuo back the game just takes off. I hope it keep its up. The first couple hours were boring, but this... classic!
But man, those critics... it's as if I'm playing a different game. I don't see how the world is lifeless. I don't see how the campaign takes away from the sandbox environment....
Remember when Microsoft were putting out games like MechAssault, Jet Set Radio Future, Panzer Dragoon Orta, Dead or Alive 3, Advent Rising, Breakdown, Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, Otogi, Crimson Skies, Shenmue II, Conker: Live and Reloaded, Phantom Dust, and Steel Battalion.
Those were the good days. I loved my Xbox, back when they supported more than Epic for third party exclusives, and tried to launch their own IPs, even if they failed: Blinx the Timesweeper.
Well, I dislike Activision for giving producers and business partners too much say in the game design process. I dislike Nintendo temporarily, mostly because of all the casual garbage and the fact that NoA still hasn't licensed Xenoblade or The Last Story. I used to dislike Ubisoft for the same reason, but they're getting better. I dislike Microsoft for closing a bunch of their first party studios and leaving behind some great IPs, but I don't hate any one particular company.
Well, if memory serves me right, Microsoft bought Tales of Vesperia as a timed exclusive over in Japan, in hopes that it would boost sales and gain them some form of market penetration.
Namco took this as a sign that they didn't need to make a PS3 version as the 360 version would do just fine. They probably had high hopes for the title and perhaps future arrangements such as this for the series. But it failed. The system received a small boost, but went right back to 1K a...
No Xenoblade makes me weep. :'(
We? Who the hell's "we"? lol I'd prefer to steer clear of the hive mind, thank you very much.
PS3+Vita might be more expensive, but Vita is also a handheld with its own game library. The WiiU Controller is not a handheld and as a result can only be used with the WiiU library.
PS3 + Vita Library > WiiU Library
...but PS3 + Vita $ > WiiU $
Unless of course the PS3 drops price and the Wii U is jacked up to $400 or so. Imagine buying the controller separately o_O and then x_x
lol You made my day.
They better not. She was great! Matter of fact, I enjoyed SH3's dub. SH2 on the other hand... (only liked James and Maria).
This man speaks the truth.
You're right, it's not needed. It's not needed if you don't want a nice little selling point when Blu-Ray adoption is skyrocketing. It's not needed if you don't intend to future proof your system with the added focus of 3D assets. It's not needed if you don't want to support 7.1 and above surround sound.
It's not needed if you don't want a 1080p adventure that lasts longer than five hours (entirely dependent on assets, but I'm sure ...
I thank Geoff personally for grilling Reggie over this. The conference answered next to nothing and was full of empty promises that sound strangely familiar (ala Wii). Between all the ports (which will be six months old by the time they release) and the complete lack of announcements for the Wii (Xenoblade and The Last Story). This conference lacked the details we, the gamers, were looking for.
Yes, there are a bunch of sites protesting in all sorts of different ways. They'll notice.
