Apart from anything else Pitchford has messed up by making the early buzz about B3 focused on MTs when it's not a big part of the game. Terrible PR by someone who should know better by now.
Nearly bought Finchy a couple of times so saved a few quid there. I don't play many games like it but PS+ is a good way to try them out.
I was never excited exactly because what we've seen has been too vague and surreal for that but all the coyness is a bit tiresome.
I'm still intrigued by it though, more interesting than the usual stuff churned out.
I think open world games should scale way back on quantity and ramp up quality. The game worlds don't need to shrink but the quality of what you do in them and the places you explore need work because the more we get of them the blander they get.
More interesting and engaging quests and environments and much less busy work. I like a big area to adventure in so I wouldn't change that necessarily but if there's nowt worthwhile to do what's the point.
I know what you mean but replayability isn't really the right word because although you'll be loading Dreams the games you'll play will change regularly.
This game has the potential to be absolutely massive and everything so far points to it fulfilling that potential. I don't think it'll ever directly compete with big budget games but it should be a big player at the indie game level.
I think the issue is that a lot of gaming journalists/writers try to look at games from an artistic perspective whereas most gamers just want something fun to play that gives them good value for money.
The more pretentious a reviewer is the wider the divide is and there's a lot of them.
I heard it was a movie myth that silencers (or sound suppressors) are actually silent and in fact it still makes a hell of a noise.
Just a load of biased waffle about hypothetical things that the author would like MS to do with no evidence to back anything up. Sony releasing their PS5 specs early doesn't mean that MS are going to beat it.

Yeah Sony's been making great games for a long time and they're still on top, impressive isn't it.
Totally agree, they've let greed get the better of them big time. Whether it's them or Take Two I don't know but either way the point stands.
I'd hoped with RDR2 they'd take a step back from milking the online mode because any idiot could see it wasn't going to be the long term money spinner that GTAO was but I don't see it happening now.
I don't blame them for wanting to make money but it's a bit of a shame that they...
I reckon if this was an AAA game with all the polish and impressive scale that entails it'd be generating a lot of interest as a new IP. Looks like it's got a lot of potential.
I think this review is probably closest to how I'd find the game. Ok but not great. I would have preferred it to be another top class exclusive but it isn't and that's fine. It'll still sell well and maybe the sequel, if there is one, will be much better and cement the series as a solid new IP.
Of course lots of people don't. Lots of people will though and I've no doubt there will be many amazing games made with it over the years.
People are pretty resourceful, give them tools and they will create.
Lots of pop in and regular frame rate dips are nothing to brag about in a remastered PS3 game, on a current gen console.
No way, you were being sarcastic, I'd never have guessed you were too subtle.
I've seen quite a lot of footage of the game because it's an interesting concept but it seems to look duller every time I see it. If it's ever released I've little doubt it'll be massive in scale and microscopic in fun.
Agreed although I'd add that everything from the art style to the gameplay looks dull and devoid of any imagination.
If it is ever actually released it's going to be a snooze fest.
I suppose if you look at it from a business point of view then it's true that he's doing fantastically and we could all learn from it. I wouldn't take any advice from him on anything artistic or creative but no doubt he knows how to make money.
I really don't think this guy is in any position to be dishing out advice. About anything.
Star Citizen has been knocking around since 2011 and despite a massive amount of money being spent on it there's no sign of release any time soon. He doesn't know what he's doing or what he's talking about.
I preferred Oblivion, Skyrim and Fallout 3 but NV had a lot going for it. I'd say it had the best quests and decision making out of all of them but the game world as a whole clicked more in the others for me.
