Not fussed about Halo, Forza on the other hand would be great. Love those games.
I'd be gobsmacked if anything like that happened though.
It'll be a shame that the game will attract negative reviews by people looking for something to get offended about who will overlook everything it does well.
With the added bonus that controversially low scoring reviews attract a lot of traffic it's inevitable that there will be lots of them riddled with faux outrage.
Barely matters as long as there's not a vast difference between them. Dominance in the next gen will come down to other factors like how easy the consoles are to develop for, the quality of exclusives and specialised areas of focus like VR or portability.
A few extra horsepower here or there is going to make bugger all difference realistically.
Cheers, I know it's not the focus of the game but personally I find horror games better balanced when you can fight back so even rudimentary combat is welcome in my book.
Does anyone know what the combat is like and how much there is of it? I know it's not Dead Space with fish people but there is shooting in it and I don't know if it's something scripted that happens at one or two points or if it's a regular part of the gameplay.
I'm the kind of guy who finds one weapon they like and spends the rest of the game using it and maxing it out so these numbers are fairly meaningless to me. I got used to the gun swapping routine in Borderlands but I don't really like only using a great new gun for ten minutes before you find something better.
I agree with you in principle but in this case it was just CDPRs quest director briefly talking about it during a general chat about the character creator so not a big deal on their end.
People who try to publicly shame devs over gender issues etc aren't doing their cause any good though. Rubs people the wrong way when imo they should be agreeing with them.
Agreed although I think the gameplay will be pretty good. Just not as good as the rest of it perhaps.
It's got just a little bit of a retro look to it, mainly in terms of animation, but that's not a problem. The art style looks cool and the gameplay looks really solid. Humour is actually funny and not painfully forced.
If future games are going to be Xbox exclusive this is the only one I'll get to play so sucks to be me but it looks like it's got strong potential to be a really good series.
Yeah I really hope they stick with the map being a planet, just do the same as they did originally and let the graphics take a hit in favour of functionality. I think people would prefer that compared to a pretty but small world map.
It always was a stupid decision not to have them in the game from the off. They should have made it as much like a normal new Fallout as possible not stripped it to bare bones and expected the online aspect to carry it.
I think by the time the year 2077 comes around choosing your character in a video game will be way more complex than it is now and this reflects that nicely. I don't see the problem with giving people options.
I always figured the combat would be the weakest aspect, for me it was that way in The Witcher and like that series this is an RPG first and foremost not an FPS with RPG elements.
I'm fine with it if that's how it turns out in the finished game, didn't bother me in Fallout and the gunplay looks way better in this, but I hope they sort out any wonky AI so immersion isn't killed. That was something that bothered me in Fallout l.
I assume that the majority of YouTubers who are pushing the game are paid by EA to do so and therefore their opinion is worthless. It's widely acknowledged as a stinker and if people are making a point of showing how much they play it they've probably got an agenda.
I hope this shuts up the minority of journalists who whinge about such things. CDPR are subtle and nuanced and are fully capable of handling the most adult and difficult themes with thoughtfulness.
This is the first negative take on it that I can remember, I'd say the first since it was revealed pretty much. And there have been a lot of articles on it.
I've never heard Cloud speak before and as far as I'm concerned the new actor is bang on what I imagined. Shame for Burton I guess.
Think I read somewhere that it has horse riding which suggests that the world will be sizeable. I suppose it could take the GoW route with a series of different sized open areas but it's not the impression I get.
Imagine how brutal it'll be when you're exploring and wander into an area that you're way under levelled for, it'll be a massacre. You'll be needing that hoss.
Reading between the lines it sounds like the writer took the huff because the CDPR guy didn't give him the detailed answers to his questions that he expected.
Making the assumption that the game will purely involve white people murdering tribal black people because that was one part of the demo is plain daft. I have no doubt that people of all backgrounds will have representation at both sides of the moral scale.
Chances are if it tried to be too funny it'd get tiresome and wear out its welcome long before the end. Fairly serious core with a smattering of adult humour suits me fine.
