I'm not one for youtubers but I've seen most of his videos, very funny bloke.
I played it for over half an hour but I did the same. I suddenly realised that I wasn't enjoying it at all. Credit for the cool twist but gameplay wise it was very poor.
I'm not saying that everything I do is worthwhile but this really was a waste of time. If he'd put the time and effort into something else he could have learned a new craft or a new language.
I saw him say that it's a case of each to their own but if that's the kind of thing that gives him genuine life satisfaction then I don't believe he has experienced life at all.
Same here, I enjoyed the game and spent a lot of time with it but it's crying out for a new engine. I remember it looked dated in F3 and this was quite a while later.
Still a top tier game though.
It is a bit of a problem when the people in a character focused game all have the cold, dead eyes of a shark (Affleck eyes) and animation flitting between robotic and comical. In some games it would be almost irrelevant but I can see why it's been an issue for ME4.
I've learnt not to expect anything but even so it's managed to disappoint me once again.
Loved it, the first two games anyway. There is a similarity isn't there.
It's not the sort of game that usually catches my eye but there's something about it. There's a lot of creativity in there.
I'd probably kill a spider say to get Forza on PS but for the rest of them all creatures would remain unharmed.
When I see people defending the changes being made to the classic formula of FF7 it does make me think of the kind of things that George Lucas says about how he 'improved' the original Star Wars films when they were rereleased. Who knows, maybe the changes will be brilliant. I doubt it personally.
I'm pleased to see that they've finally worked on the off track environment and engine sounds, took them long enough. Boring video though, once you've seen 15 seconds of it you've seen all of it. Seems like the game may still be lacking a bit of the fun factor that its rival sims have.
I'm a big fan of the series from 7 onwards so I tried to like 12 but I found it immensely dull. Bland characters, environments and combat and I can't remember a single thing about the story, unlike the other games where it's etched into my mind forever.
The main point of Bioshock is to absorb the story and atmosphere but the gameplay is also well designed and unique. I played Bio 2 recently and it didn't feel like it had aged badly at all and I believe that the best game in the collection, Bio 1, has had the most polish for the collection.
I know you don't know anything about me but I promise that I don't use the word masterpiece without meaning it. Bioshock 1 is something every gamer should play. Mafia 3 look...
Mafia 3 looks alright but Bioshock is a masterpiece, Bioshock 2 is an excellent game and while I didn't love 3 most people consider it another masterpiece. I'd get the Bioshock collection, it's one of the coolest and most memorable series' I've ever played and I've been around a while.
I don't think I've played Resident Evil since the 90s. Going to be nostalgia overload.
Timesplitter clearly has it right. It says it in the article and its blindingly obvious anyway. I can only assume that their downvotes were from drunk people trying to click on agree.
I didn't find Bloodborne to be unfairly difficult, although I probably wasn't saying that when the Blood Starved Beast ripped my head off for the twentieth time, after each boss or difficult section I had to admit that my eventual success was down to me upping my game and if I'd managed to do that sooner then I would have had the beating of them quicker.
The world of Yarnham itself was fascinating compared to almost every other game but it didn't absorb and...
All the problems mentioned in the article are thanks to scripting, the game is perfectly capable of passing it to the player making a good run, your teammates of not getting in your way to block your runs and shots and your keeper of not hacking down the opposition or gently palming a weak shot straight onto a striker's foot, but when the mood takes it you're at the mercy of all of the above.
Clumsy and obnoxious scripting is the real problem with modern football ga...
That's not a bad comparison, with MGS the first game was the best and they went downhill after that (not by much but slightly) and the same with Star Wars with the difference that the prequels had gone so far downhill they'd fallen off a cliff.
At some point the creative well runs dry and while Lucas' definitely has, it's possible so has Kojima's.
He no longer works on the games and he's such a flaky character that I don't pu...
Not bad. I've got 1201.
