Still plays like a handheld game unfortunately.
I love PES (well, I love football and PES is the best game version of it despite its flaws) but even I can see this was a good decision because it seemed unanimous it was a terrible month. It does raise some questions about how they were able to change it so late when clearly contracts were signed and how much it might have cost them but I don't really care.
Great exclusives, a huge choice of multiplat games and the market leaders in arguably the future of gaming in VR. I don't really give a hoot if I can't do all that on the bus as long as it's available at home.
They're making the right choices.
Yeah it's a bit early for that it's still in its infancy in terms of popularity. Seems likely that future games will have it though.
I like it, just pure gameplay and not a lot else apart from a great soundtrack. Good to have a couple of games in your collection that you can have a quick blast on without having to set two hours aside.
Slightly Mad studios and turn Project Cars into a beast. The foundations are there but they don't have that big budget feel and Sony could do with a AAA racing series that releases more than one game a generation.
I don't mind these terms, there are so many games coming out that it's useful to see key words that let me know if I should be interested. Souls-like is another, people might be sick of it or think it's lazy but I see it and it gets my attention.
With it being so last minute I think they should have offered a choice or even better both. I know Americans don't like PES but lots of other countries are football mad and might have wanted it. I get a footy game every two years, the next one will be 2020 otherwise I'd have snapped it up and got two years out of it.
About ten years too late for a Beckham partnership.
I remember at the time it reviewed pretty well, not great but pretty good. It seems to have taken on some kind of legendary status now, maybe because it was relatively unique and didn't get a sequel.
I'd give it a try if it came to PS4, I enjoyed Deadly Premonition despite it being mostly shite so I'd probably be down for Alan Wake.
I prefer the look of Babylon's Fall albeit there's only been a trailer so far.
Cool, another console war article. Haven't seen many of them.
Not sure how much sense it makes but I can't say I've done in depth research on the edibility of tumours.
Very true, it's telling that plenty of 16bit style 2D sprite games are released these days and nobody bats an eye but if someone released a new game that looked like the early days of 3D on the PS1 and 2 it would be ripped to shreds.
They haven't aged well.
I don't really get the passion for BC, I buy a new console to have new experiences not to wallow in the past.
Cheers, bang on assessment btw. The first is my favourite too but it was the first From game I'd played and it made such an impression on me that looking back it's hard to be objective about whether it's the best.
Out of interest how would you rank the three? I think that whichever game introduced you to a series is likely to be your favourite but not many would cite DS2 as the best.
That would be ideal, say a 50/50 split between the two. It's not like the old SP stuff was particularly in depth with cutscenes and a detailed story, it was pretty basic but it was content that people liked and it's the foundation the series was built on so it shouldn't be an afterthought.
There have been plenty of months that everybody else has been psyched for but haven't interested me, last month for one, and this time everyone seems to think it's utter shit but I almost bought Horizon the other day so I'm happy. Point is it's a mixed bag and one mans trash is another mans treasure, there are a wide variety of PS players out there.
I do think only having two games opens them up to criticism because it narrows it down too much. I like sugge...
I got the impression that Sport was the most recent full game in the series and it wasn't numbered because they wanted to take the franchise in a new (competitive online) direction. See how it sells and goes down in general and either make Sport 2 next or go back to traditional SP.
It's exploding in popularity right now with unprecedented viewing figures.
