TIL that owning things is the same as making them. Looking around my house I must be one hell of a craftsman.
I still don't really know what this game is, is it a remake? A remaster? A quasi sequel heavily inspired by the original? I think I recognise some of the tracks in the trailer but that doesn't mean much.
I didn't like the loot, especially getting new weapons. Fine at the start but pretty quickly you're getting snowed under with swords that you're never going to use. Often you'll do a long and difficult quest to win some Excalibur level blade of legend and after being presented with it by the ghost of Merlin himself you'll look at the stats and say "ok chuck it on the pile with the others".
The year is 2060. A frail old man is in a hospital bed surrounded by his family and they lean in close to hear his last words. "Hello Games lied"
In the next bed along a voice croaks "Cyberpunk should have had a third person option"
Everyone in earshot facepalms.
Oddly fascinating, reminds me of some of my Dark Souls cheese like killing Havel through a door or firing 600 wooden arrows into a dragon.
In some ways I wish they'd move on from such things and make AI clever enough to avoid it but it is quite satisfying working out how to game the system.
I don't think that's true, I've never played it so obviously I'm not an expert but as far as I know it's about standing up to bullies not being one yourself. In this time when kids are hanging themselves in their bedrooms because of bullying a game that empowers them might do more good than harm.
Probably the laws about any idiot being able to buy guns are more to blame than people playing computer games.
Probably because if you watch the trailer he's referring to everything looks better now than it did then. Pretty much the only thing that is missing from the current game is the giant sandworm I mentioned.
To say the original trailer is nowhere near what we have now is true but only in the sense that the current version is far better.
Oh you mean the desert worm and whatnot. On the whole the planets look much better now than they did in that trailer. No giant worms though sadly.
What was so different?
It doesn't sound like much tbh. Better than leaving it untouched but not a lot to get people excited to buy a new game for it.
Not every game needs them same as not every film does but yeah of course generally speaking famous actors/celebrities will have a positive effect on sales. I'm not really one to be swayed by it but I enjoyed the voice acting in GTA VC and SA for example, and how likely is it that unknowns could pull off better performances than Reedus and Mikkelson in Death Stranding? Not very.
It's great isn't it. I didn't get anywhere near all of it just playing it through but looking it up afterwards, the depth of meaning and the originality of the storytelling in that game is incredible.
I get how it would pass a lot of people by but for those interested enough to dive in it's on a higher level to almost anything in gaming.
Bloodborne has all of these beaten if you're willing to put the work in to uncover it. I liked the new GoW a lot but it was mainly for the satisfying gameplay, apart from the end credits scene and some of the opening moments I wasn't very much affected by its storytelling.
I'd rather see footage but at this point I'll take any information whatsoever about one of the few games I'm excited for.
Yeah generally speaking it's better to have smaller but higher quality areas, I think that would suit this game more too. If they're anything like the size of TW3's maps then they'll be plenty big enough.
So far so cool, any word on how open and big the game world is? Or game worlds rather, my understanding is it's a series of smallish open areas but I dunno.
Should have used the stories from the books and the visuals from the games imo. It's going to confuse a lot of viewers who have only played the games, who represent the majority of people interested in it I'd wager.
I love the series but I felt that they ran out of ideas to make each game feel fresh and gradually returns diminished in terms of creativity so I'd rather they moved on to new IPs. The Elden Ring is an exciting one, open world DS could be brilliant.
They do and they'd go great with whatever you're drinking, we're in agreement about the article btw.
