By providing loads of quality games? Seems fair.
I've seen some of it before and to be fair it's not much different to watching real motorsport so credit to them for that.
I do think they need some new creative heads in to give them some new perspectives, they seem stuck in a rut. It's a very high quality rut but they're still stuck in it.
Personally I'm only expecting the core gameplay to be on the positive side of ok and I'm fine with that. I actually didn't like the combat in TW3 but it's still one of the best games I ever played and Cyberpunk looks a lot sharper in terms of gameplay.
I will be disappointed if the overall story, characters, quests, writing and acting are below par but we know little about these things in the context of the game as a whole.
Hard to decide between FF7, Bioshock or Dark Souls. I'll go with FF7 because I was young and it affected me the most. I'd love to be that age again discovering not just FF7 but RPGs as a genre and the beautiful potential of video games.
I'd recommend being way more discerning about what you buy and spending the money saved on things like holidays or your family.
Whatever you like that isn't a huge stack of games that you know deep down you don't care about.
I had forgotten about the bike, good point. Every game does have busywork yeah but covering large and, from what I've seen fairly bland and barren areas, on foot isn't something I enjoy particularly. Hopping on and off a bike would be fine though.
I've had an idea knocking around in my head for years about a story driven game which is a long linear journey by car, so I'm not adverse to the basic point of a game being to travel from A to B. Trudging around huge locations on foot and putting up ladders might get tedious before long though.
It's a mystery innit. Could be brilliant, could be absolutely awful. It would be unusual for a game with this much creativity, polish and financial outlay to be bad but the trailers give little away about the core gameplay.
Looks ok. It might have been better to create a range of futuristic weapons to kill the zombies with, would have made it feel a little fresher and more fun.
I'm going to assume that was just Kojima having some fun and it wasn't supposed to be impressive.
This quote about DS3: "It’s almost like a greatest hits from the previous games" is why it's not the best for me, yes it's the most polished but it's also the most derivative. Great game for sure and better than DS2, which had the same problem but wasn't as good, but it had a feeling of been there done that for me with very few surprises.
I think BioWare is doomed unfortunately. Not because of this but because of their recent output. It's very rare for a company to turn things around once the glory days are over.
If they ever have got it right it was a complete fluke. Totally pointless isn't it.
It's going to be Cyberpunk and GTA6.
FF7 was my introduction to the series and I loved everything about it but I think I liked FF8 even more. It felt a bit more grown up, as I felt at the time, and something about the characters and setup of the storyline resonated more deeply with me. I liked the more realistic graphics and having to draw magic didn't bother me because I had all the time in the world at the time.
I guess the plot did get a bit wacky at the end and FF7 probably finished stronger. Both abs...
Tbh if this was a new game from an unknown developer nobody would give any credence to these articles trying to convince us that a bog standard shot of barren landscapes is anything interesting. I'm looking forward to the game because the footage looks cool and Kojima is always worth your attention but a lot of the build up to it is less than thrilling.
Gears wasn't exactly genius, it scratched an itch and was the best of its kind for some time but it was a pretty basic formula with little depth. As far as I can tell that was his masterpiece and it's been rapidly downhill since so I'm not expecting much.
It's the first game I think of when someone asks what franchise should be revived, it was a quality game. The level where you drive under the landing plane gave you a rush every time.
I didn't know they were doing this, cool. It was a bit of an odd game but I really liked it.
