If anything it completely ignores all that crap.

Which open world RPGs are you playing/have ever played in your life that have better action gameplay than how this looks?

I've said it before but TW3 was no great shakes gameplay wise but it was a fantastic game overall, Cyberpunk looks a lot more enjoyable in terms of gameplay and it's made by the same people so I don't see any reason to doubt that they'll pull off a great story. Have a bit of faith in them.

I don't know what more people want. Do they expect a gameplay demo to be a life changing experience? It's an RPG and it looks like a very slick and well put toget...

Looks amazing. If it was just a linear action game with a basic story I'd still want to play it based on its visual style but the fact it's an open world RPG is very impressive.

Vanquish for me too, totally bonkers and spectacular set pieces but it had really good core gameplay too. One of the best games I ever played actually in the action genre.

It's like a blast from the past when a developer would get a film licence and produce any old shite because the box alone would sell it. People are a tad more savvy these days and besides who cares about the Jumanji reboot? It was two years ago.

LA Noire was a quality game. Watching people's faces when you interviewed them and deciding what to do was something I've never seen done better.

This will sell between 15 and 20 copies.

There's not a lot to get excited about is there, it all seems pretty bland. A lot of games try to copy Souls but they don't have anywhere near the level of creativity and it all ends up a bit meh.

Doesn't look great to me, every time I've seen footage it's been boring. Souls knock off with anime graphics, so fresh and exciting.

Neither but Control is more my type of game.

As you say you didn't like it because you weren't familiar with the game mechanics, I didn't finish The Surge but I know that scanning every enemy for its weakness is something you do as routine.

Mind you I agree about their games like this one and LotF lacking a certain something, they are functional but there's no magic or character to them.

GTA5 was a cool game to play with friends, the heists and PVP and stuff like racing were a lot of fun with communication. You could make full on films as well using the editor, it's quite a game.

Neither is Cyberpunk in the same way that The Witcher isn't a hack n' slash series. TW and Cyberpunk are both RPGs.

I'm not saying that to be pedantic but because the criticism I've seen of Cyberpunk seems to expect it to play as well as COD but it was never going to as it's a hardcore RPG. In the same way that PES and FIFA's career modes aren't as detailed as a football manager sim any game can only do so much if you want it to release in our l...

I've never played a Shenmue game in my life and probably never will but there's nothing wrong with giving fans what they want and not trying to reinvent the wheel. If everybody had that attitude we'd be in trouble, if the developers of a niche and quirky game series do then there's no problem at all.

I think the point was that you can create a character that perfectly mirrors yourself and then you can play the game accordingly no matter what it throws your way. They don't mean that everything in the game will be cute and inoffensive but that every type of person will be represented fairly.

So do I, I appreciate what they did with it. As far as I know it was pretty successful and they'll be working on a follow up.

It's a classic example of a potential new franchise where the first game is flawed but has promise and the sequel is make or break. If they can tighten up the combat, streamline some of the more tedious survival elements and polish the story and game as a whole to a high standard then they've got a great chance of making something big.

To be clear I'm not saying I think it looks bad just that we don't know either way yet, which we don't. It's too surreal a game to have absolute confidence that it's going to be great.

It's one of the games I'm looking forward to the most because it's something new.

It's possible. For example I like Will Ferrell when he's being directed and sticking to the script but let him loose to improvise and it turns into a load of incoherent shouting.

Probably something it'll be more worth debating about Kojima after DS has released because I think he's holding his cards close to his chest.
