Pirates is a Disney movie (trilogy) and this is for Warner Bros. movies only. There is a list on the site of what movies you can trade up with.

Word of warning to people looking to do this: Most of these movies can be bought for under $10 from Amazon. So you aren't saving much of anything by doing this. Honestly, I see giving up the DVD for $8 worse off than paying an extra $2 or so for the blu-ray from somewhere like Amazon, unless you would have zero use for the dvd once yo...

Did you seriously just list FFX-2 as one of the greatest RPGs ever made? You are welcome to your opinion, but I highly doubt many will agree with that.

Anyway, DA is definitely my favorite RPG of this generation, not that there have been a ton to choose from. I would consider it as maybe my favorite WRPG of all time, along with KotOR, BG2 and Planescape, and I would say it's more actual fun than any of those. (for reference sake, Xenogears, FF6 and FFT are my top 3 RPGs)

Graphics in this game aren't amazing in the first place, but they are good (PC version for me). Honestly, I couldn't see playing this game on the ps3 or 360 due to no keyboard/mouse support. Would be so slow paced, I would imagine, with a controller considering how many times you would have to pause the game for some of the more intense fights.

Anyway, in my opinion DA (pc anyway) is the best WRPG this generation. Amazing game, even better than ME (2nd favorite), Fallout 3, Ob...

While the graphics may be downgraded (or not, we won't know till vXIII), the lack of originality in the level up system, worry that the storyline and characters are gonna suck, etc. is because Squenix is just not that good of a developer anymore, at least that's what they've been showing everyone for the past few years. Versus will be a better game because it has a better director who has proven himself, and Nomura is about the only one left, at least the last one left that I have a slight b...

While it may be true for many games, GTA4 deserves every bit of criticism it receives, as it is still the most overrated game in history. It was a good game, but I could tell after playing for a couple hours that it was way less than what it was touted as, and the flaws were even more evident by the time I had finished it. I didn't feel this way at all when playing UC2 (and some other highly rated games) and feel it's immense praise is completely deserved.

While I believe their estimate may be a little low, 5mil is not gonna happen, not even close. No FF game has ever sold 5mil copies in Japan alone (FFVII was the most at about 4mil), and I don't see XIII breaking much more than 2mil in Japan, which is still a lot. There have only been about 9 games released in Japan that have EVER sold over 5mil copies, and most of them are Pokemon games (along with the first mario and a couple DS games).

Well, I know some will disagree, but Crysis did little in the way of artistic design. I would consider it very "scientific" in it's design in that they used equations to calculate accurate lighting and tried for photorealism. It's one of the reasons that when I look at the game, I appreciate that it's amazing in terms of realism, but left stale because no one put any heart into the design. Then I play a game like UC2, and while there are also some attempts at realism, there is de...

If anyone is playing the game, you would know there is no way to do this in 17 days without playing pretty much 24 hours a day, meaning it's almost guaranteed it was done by more than one person on a single character, so really it's like using a cheat code. Good for them, I guess. Think the highest person on the server I'm on is low 40's, and considering the huge amount of xp more needed each level, that's still a long grind to 50 (I'm 35 atm, and that's with a lot of free time in the last ...

While I agree with most of your post, technological advancements are pretty important. Many of the games you listed are great and deserve to be on top lists, but even though you didn't come right out and say it, there have been games in the last generation (ps2, xbox, gc, dc) and this generation that I enjoy just as much, if not more.

For example, I loved the first Metal Gear Solid, but I went back and played all of them last year before MGS4 came out, and while the first MGS ...

I see MGS4 as the best game this generation and I think it's the closest game to deserve a perfect score so far. I have little doubt that UC2 will surpass it for me, but until it's released, I can't say for certain.

The game looks really good, especially for an MMO. However, don't expect Crysis level graphics. The game is stylized and the characters look great, but some of the environments are low poly. It makes sense, of course, being an MMO it has to cater to a much larger audience than people trying to have a showpiece. Again, though, it does look really good, and even though not up there with Crysis, it's more than good enough when compared to it's competition (although AoC still looks really goo...

Hmm, well I think the latest amount released was 3.5 million subs for the game already in Korea/China, and growing pretty fast. So unless, for some reason, you don't want to count those, I would imagine it won't drop below a million anytime soon.

This number is about the most amount of pre-orders this year, and against competing MMOs. WAR and AoC both released numbers sent to retailers, but I'm not sure either one ever released preorder numbers, only that they broke the record....

Halo 3 was the most hyped game ever released, and not by a small amount. It was a good game, but who needs Halo flavored soft drinks and toilet paper (some of these items may not have existed).

@Xi

While I understand your point, and it's accurate sometimes, there are just as many games that don't sell well that are as good/better (much better in many cases) than the ones that sell tons.

As for the top 10, I'm guessing you haven't looked at the list.

Considering Wii Play, Nintendogs and Wii Fit are the top 3, and over half of the games in the top 10 wouldn't even make it into my top 100, I don't see pure sales being very important. (That top 10 ...

While FFXII doesn't live up to 4, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, it is by FAR the longest in the series. To complete everything, it takes over 120 hours, easily. No other FF game takes near that to complete it without spending superfluous time such as leveling to 99 (not even close to needed in any FF) or maxing out the clock at 99:99 (ff7).

Again, though, I'm not defending FFXII, but to say it's worse based on length is just silly. Also, I think the only thing majorly wrong with XII wa...

It's a great quote, as are so many in MGS4.

*spoilers*

The most memorable quote for me was Otacon's "Snake had a hard life" speech (at ending). It connects the beginning of the game to the end, and is probably the most emotional quote of the game, at least when he says it again at the end.

@6.1

That's what makes the gameplay so good. At first, yes, the game is very hard, but the strategy comes in learning the enemies' weaknesses. It's still difficult, even if you know exactly how to kill every enemy, but it's not cheap in the level of difficulty.

The only thing I found "cheap" was when I would fall off a cliff near the end of a level and thus had to re-kill everything in it again. However, I learned to just be more careful and it's not a...

Yeah, but to make sure no one is scared off by it, dying twice and losing all your collected souls is not something that will make you wanna quit or anything. Unless you haven't been spending them for a long time, you can get them back fairly easily if you grind a level just for souls. Also, you don't lose your items or boss souls, or anything that extreme, if you die twice.

If you really want to know more about the game, I would recommend this site:
