There are a couple of major things wrong with your argument. First off, technically, Crysis 2 will obviously be "better." However, Crytech has shown after Crysis and Warhead they have almost no artistic talent or animation ability. They are good at making realistic landscapes and fauna (regardless of what all the closeup pics and texture maps/head models shown, the character models were horrible, no matter how realistic they looked, and no one ever mentions it, but the buildings,...

What a stupid way to make a list. It's almost as if they edited the way they made it to have the Wii win. Yeah, let's not include multi-platform games simply because the Wii doesn't have any. Let's forget the fact that PS3 had 4-5 or so exclusives better than anything the Wii had to offer this year, including NSMB. Let's throw in a bunch of average games simply because they are exclusive, because we all know quantity is better than quality.

If it wasn't for RottenTomatoes I...

Well, let's be honest. While there have been a few good Wii games this year, I highly doubt they could make a good top 10 list of just Wii games. Was not a very good year for the Wii in terms of games.

@3

*Spoilers*

It's been a long time since I beat GoW2 (have the collection, but still on the first one), but I'm pretty sure I remember in the last fight against Zeus, Athena is killed by the Blade of Olympus, accidentally.

@1.1 I'm not really sure it's any less challenging considering pretty much every FF I can think of had a save point right before any major boss, which is pretty much exactly the same thing. It's not like there's ever been a hard FF to begin with. The only "hard" part is if you are under-level for a fight.

Just seems no one is taking into consideration that this doesn't change the difficulty. If a fight is too hard for you to do because you are way underlevel, rest...

Well, dual-layer disc, meaning it's gonna be 25gb at bare minimum, since dual goes up to 50gb. More than likely, being dual-layer, they wouldn't do that unless they needed significantly more than 25gb. Guessing that it's closer to 50gb than 25.

Well, Grandia and Wild ARMs both had ps2 sequels. Grandia 2 was good, but pretty much all the other Grandia and Wild ARMs ps2 games sucked or were average at best. There are some ps1 games that never did get a sequel though.

Xenogears is an obvious one, since I don't consider Xenosaga as having anything to do with it other than a very loosely related story. Xenogears is also one of the best RPGs ever made, so I find it hard to relate it to the barely average ...

Kojima is FAR more important to Konami than Konami is to Kojima. Directors like Kojima can be counted on one hand, and Konami knows this. You say they are about making money, which is exactly the reason they would listen to whatever he has to say. Unless he decided to do something completely off the wall that made no sense, Konami is not gonna dismiss what he says. That being said, just because Kojima is not creative director on the project does not mean the game is gon...

This I definitely agree with, however, UC2 is just a plain better game in terms of overall GOTY for me.

I imported DS well before it was released in the US and enjoyed it tons. Difficult, thrilling game with a bleak atmosphere and hopeless feeling that is rarely seen in games (it's a bold move, as many people will not enjoy that type of feeling in a video game). The challenge level and strategy involved in even the simplest fights made the game last a long time.

I ...

If spoiler meaning that you can recruit him, I guess it is a late game spoiler, but doesn't really tell you much just in that fact. However, if you mean that he leaves the king to die and is evil, I really don't see how that's much of a spoiler considering, other than the race starting section, it's pretty much the first thing that really happens in the game and sets the story for the entire game. In other words, the whole Grey Wardens initiation is almost like it's still part of the tutori...

Sadly I don't see the huge list of inferior aspects of the ps3 version being fixed for the western release, which is a real shame.

I don't think there is any excuse anymore for ports this bad, no matter what they try and tell us about how different the engine is. All it shows is they weren't willing to redo significant portions of the engine to work well on the ps3. This is also the reason many/most multi-plat developers are now making their games simultaneously on ps3 and 36...

@1 A Christmas Carol isn't really overrated, it's just been so overused, it's easy to be annoyed by it. It's probably the most re-adapted English written story ever written, and that's for a reason. I do agree that many of the movie/tv adaptions suck, and obviously the game sucks (although I could have told you that before it was even announced), but the old Christmas Carol movie was good, as was Mickey's Christmas Carol and Scrooged. ;)

Well, many people don't like it, for good reason, because it's an Eastern MMO in the sense that it has MASSIVE amounts of mindless grinding to level. Western MMOs, like LotRO, WoW, WAR, AoC, while not all of them are good, there is very little grinding when compared to games like Lineage 2 and Aion. Guild Wars isn't really an MMO in the same way the other games I mentioned are. Also, the entire point of that game is the end game for pvp purposes, not who can spend the most time on the game...

I would ask which game you like better: Diablo series or Baulder's Gate series? Dragon Age and Demon's Souls are both great games and I would consider them about equal, but very different. Reason I asked which you liked better is because Demon's Souls is much more of an action game than an RPG, like Diablo, ie., not really much of a storyline, but great action based gameplay. Dragon Age, while not as hotkey oriented and a little more action oriented than BG, is very much story driven.

Obviously your opinion, but the reason I think TF2 is weak on consoles is because it is so fast paced, which makes it great for PC, but poor with a controller. MW2 is nowhere close to as fast paced as TF2 unless you are playing on 4vs4 maps or something.

Yeah, I'm not really sure why certain games were left off this list. GoW3, GT5, FFXIII, Mass Effect 2, Splinter Cell Conviction and Alan Wake are all bigger games than every game on their list other than Halo Reach and Bioshock 2 (and maybe Rage...I don't include Need for Speed for personal distaste for the series =P).

I doubt any game will "kill" WoW other than the next MMO Blizzard releases, simply due to it's popularity. However, TOR seems like it might be the first MMO released since WoW that has a chance of overtaking it's highest market share of the MMORPG genre.

Well, the story in WoW at endgame is limited to one play through of the area. So really, it's just another grind for the next 50-100+ times you do it. Other than pvp, though, there haven't been too many ways in MMOs to keep endgame content fresh, so I'm hoping this game will come up with a way to do so, because I'm really interested in playing a story driven MMO. WoW has a story, but the game definitely isn't anywhere close to being story driven, especially to the extent TOR seems to be. ...

I'm not sure when the last time you looked through Blu-ray's is, or where you are buying them, but the vast vast majority of new releases are released at between $17.99 and $24.99, with most of them being $19.99. Can't really remember the last time a decently popular wide release movie was released on blu-ray for $29.99. If you notice, pretty much everywhere says the SRP (standard retail price) of the movies is $10 more than what they charge. So maybe you are buying them from some no-name ...
