Has no one pointed out that Hercules is the Roman mythology version of Heracles? I realize the name Hercules is FAR more well known, but God of War is based off of Greek mythology. I guess it doesn't really matter, because they are the same "person."

Have you played an advanced copy of HR or something? Why in the world are you comparing SoD to HR? If you want to compare it with anything, it should be Indigo Prophecy. Even then, though, it doesn't make sense, because other than both loosely being in the "adventure" game category, they are very very different games.

It's been about 9 years since I played SoD (great game, btw and **spoilers**) and I seem to remember the biggest aspect of the ...

Please tell us what games you are referring to. Let me guess. You are including MAG, Bayonetta and WKC. I think you need to figure out what the term "flop" means. Last Rebellion can't flop because very very few people cared about it in the first place. I've never heard/seen anyone seriously hype the game, and I'm pretty sure most people realized it was gonna suck well before it was even released in Japan (where it got horrible reviews from Famitsu, not that their reviews matter...

I have played both versions, and actually preferred the PC. Most of his complaints are stupid and based on the fact that the PC version didn't have the large amounts of graphical/sound settings most PC games have now days (no AA setting, no sterio/5.1/7.1/etc. settings, etc.). No, the PC version of the game doesn't look much better than the 360 version (other than possible higher resolution), but it still looks good. Also, I preferred the keyboard/mouse over the controller, but it works ju...

Hmm, Famitsu was way off this time. They had the Wii at 46k and the ps3 at 29k, and off by almost 10k on the DSi LL. Not that it matters, just stood out since Famitsu had Wii and PS3 difference at over 17k.

Here you go, some direct quotes from the article. Takes some good spin to explain them off as opinion.

--"The thing that a lot of people missed, however, is that Mass Effect 2 is indeed a better game than Uncharted 2, and I don't know how readers can be so blinded by their fanboyism to deny it."

--"I'm all those things, and I'm telling you that Mass Effect 2 is better than Uncharted 2.

I need you to accept this." <...

"Mass Effect 2 deserves all the praise it's getting & THAT has nothing to do with UC2 or the PS3.

WELL DONE BIOWARE !!!"

I can agree with that, and anyone that's sensible to the situation would just leave it at that. The problem is, IGN didn't leave it at that.

"ME2 is a great game."

"UC2 is a great game."

Those are two separate quotes (made up), and other than a "favori...

Wut!? ;)

edit: Ok, there we go (wrong reply though). Anyway, telling people to accept a game is better, because they say so, is quite a derailment from what I consider "opinion." The whole "flame-war" could have been avoided if his article was explaining why he believes ME2 is better, instead of 90% of it being about how he KNOWS it's better, and if someone doesn't agree with him, they are wrong. Just so you know, he never gave his opini...

ME2 is a great looking game, mainly the character models. However, ME2 isn't amazing because of it's graphics, because it's definitely not the best looking game available, not even the best looking 360 game. Maybe the best looking characters on the 360, but many of the ships, backdrops, buildings, effects, etc. are just not that great.

Please don't assume I'm trying to take away anything from the game, because ME2 and UC2 are my two favorite games this generation. Also, my ex...

I've never said any of those things, but I can answer your question about how it's different for Greg Miller. He's being paid by a website that definitely does not want to be known as biased. Professional attitude is something that has become very rare, and something that used to be quite strong with IGN.

You are asking why it's different for some random ps3 fanboys to claim a certain game is better, and say it as if it is fact. First off, their opinion isn...

Here we go again with people that don't think before they type. Did it escape your mind that DI and GoW3 are both coming to the ps3. Many (not all, or even most) "fanboys" from other systems seem to bring up multiplatform games as if they are exclusive, and they do it all the time this generation.

I've never heard anyone say they are worried DI will be better than GoW3. I've never heard anyone that sounds like an intelligent person go so far as to s...

I'm pretty sure this wouldn't ruin anything for you, unless you didn't know there were chimera's. This is pretty much just a "Making of...the Chimera." The very short clip of in-game gameplay you see in the video is just a scene from the demo with the updated graphics. If you haven't seen the demo gameplay, you may wanna skip it, but if so, you won't see anything new at all other than the (amazing) updated lighting and graphics.

As you could probably guess, I'm pro-life. I believe there should be extenuating circumstances where a baby can be aborted, rape and mother's life in danger being the main two. That being said, I don't agree with groups like Planned Parenthood that are government funded and have clinics where a child (girl under 18) can go and have an abortion, often encouraged, without parents being involved at all.

Also, Roe v Wade says that a woman can have an abortion for...

Yes, Divine Comedy (in this case, Inferno, and not sure if it continues to Purgatorio and Paradiso) is an awesome story, but the game doesn't follow the story very much at all, so you can't say the game will be good because the poem is. I'm hopeful the game will be good, but I really have some doubts until I play it myself.

What exactly is wrong with an anti-abortion ad? I would think people that are pro-choice are still anti-abortion. Would hate to hear about someone actually being pro-abortion, as that's pretty damn screwed up.

(Personally, I think abortion has been the greatest crime in world history, with over 52 million murders in the US alone. If you think abortion isn't murder, check out the huge amounts of recent (last few years) scientific research, unless you are the t...

The game may or may not end up being the best for each platform (doubt it for consoles, but never know, probably will for PC). However, the magazine scans ( http://forums.pureoverclock... ) are not directly taken from in-game unless the game somehow turned into a mixed fps-tps-rts since the first one. They are either complete bullshots (doubt it, may be touched up though), taken from a cutscene...

All of your posts are the same thing. We get it, Crysis 2 will be the best and the other games won't match it. You can quit spamming now.

I'm not overly anxious for open-world games like a lot of people (if there's nothing in 50% of the open area, it just gets boring, no matter how realistic). That being said, Crysis was a lot of fun. It's not my favorite FPS, but it's very good (I more enjoy arcade style FPS, like Team Fortress 2 or Unreal Tournament).

One thing I REALLY hope they do is make it so the stealth mode is no so ridiculously overpowered. Unless you forced yourself to not use it, there was never a r...

Rome was an amazing series. Spartacus, so far, is not all that good. Sure it has tons of nudity and violence, but at this point it almost seems like that's being used to cover up a lot of its flaws in terms of characters and story.

As for GoW3, I am kind of curious what they mean by "Strong Sexual Content," in a non-pathetic way. ;) The first two games only listed "Sexual Themes."

Hmm, I'm guessing the 360 version is different than the PC a lot in terms of controls. The gameplay in the PC version doesn't suffer from the problems you are stating. You can switch to your previous weapon by pressing "x," and it's pretty rare to ever need more than two different guns (maybe need heavy weapons if you meet something bigger, but once every couple hours isn't a big deal). Also, using powers just requires the press of a number, never leaving live a...
