The ps3 can tell what type of controller/setup you are using. When using the mouse/keyboard setup in Unreal Tournament 3 (haven't play in a long time, assume the servers are still up), it separates servers to where you can play on a server that's only one or the other, or a server that allows both controller and k/m. I'm sure the ps3 will be able to recognize when you have Move attached.
@Noctis
Guessing you are referring to the first Persona re-released on the PSP. It's a remake/resurfacing of the original game that came out on the ps1 14 years ago, while Persona 3 was released on the ps2 just 3 years ago. Persona 3 is definitely a better game, but it's not really fair to compare, since 70% of the game is just upgrades from the original. Anyway, I would still recommend the first Persona. Really cool storyline, but yes, the battle system and graphics are very...
There is only one announce MMO that has any chance of stealing a large chunk of WoW's audience, and that's The Old Republic. It looks like it's gonna be fairly casual (at least on the surface), fully voiced (which a lot of people will like), will get a ton of hype when it gets closer to release, developed by a very well respected group and looks different enough to pull in new people yet similar enough to pull in people from other MMOs.
FFXIV will get a bunch of people, but it w...
Darn, and those TV show to video game transfers usually turn out so well, too.
I never implied the sport wasn't popular, but that doesn't change the fact that it's strange for you to have a website limited to video games about cricket, instead of a website about cricket that also covers the video games.
Also, it's quite offensive that you would imply that cricket isn't popular in certain countries because it requires "brains." I've seen a couple of matches of cricket and was able to pick up the majority of the rules very quickly, just like abou...
I guess it depends if you use the homebrew/custom firmware stuff. I'm not even talking about illegally. If you get cfw, you can have every ps1, SNES, NES, GBA and PSP game there is (N64 as well, but doesn't run well), very legally if you own the games. IF you take that into consideration (big "if"), the PSP library has a much better library. If just talking about PSP games, you can dismiss ps1 games, as that's similar to backwards compatibility (although I would say ps1 has a ma...
I guess everything has it's own audience, and everything dealing with anything probably has a website somewhere, but I still find it funny that there is a website limited to video games about cricket.
@1.5 I didn't see anywhere that Alpha said the soccer game wasn't a better seller. Most likely 99% of the people that visit n4g don't care about a soccer game from level5, or at least not care as much as they do about the release of a new RPG. The people that buy soccer games every year in Europe are the same type of people that buy Madden every year in the US, and are not the type of people I consider "gamers" because many of them are very limited in the types of games they purch...
Since you are talking about hacking and pirating, you do realize the psp can play all ps1 iso's as well? The ps1 library is just as good (all opinion, some would find it better) as the snes' and the only reason people would have more SNES games than ps1/psp games is because they are 600x smaller in size.
It also emulates the NES and N64 (although not very well on that one), which really to me doesn't say that Nintendo wins, but that Sony has released a handheld device far more c...
While it's fairly obvious a lot didn't read the article, that doesn't excuse that the title is clearly meant to cause argument.
I highly enjoyed Fable 2, great game. However, my problem is that Fable 2 is the ONLY truly great game this guy has ever done. Populous, Theme Park and the first Fable were good, but definitely nothing amazing. Black and White, to this day, remains the most overhyped, underachieving game I've ever been fooled into buying. This guy has made so many promises and has never fully delivered (even Fable 2, as great as it was, didn't do all he said it would).
Time, in the last 10+ y...
Ha, Walternate. "Peter" was a great episode of Fringe, and really kept me from giving up on the show, since most of the other episodes this season really didn't live up to the great first season.
Regardless of whether or not Bioshock 2 and MW2 are pointless sequels (Bioshock 2, no, MW2, yes), this article is pointless. Just because a couple of games have "pointless sequels" doesn't mean anything when the vast majority of sequels in the past year or so have been superior games and have greatly enhanced the library of video games. For example, Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, God of War 3, Mass Effect 2, Assassin's Creed 2, Street Fighter 4, etc. Those are all just within the past ...
"Morons overreacting. News at 11."
@1.2
I would never condone the actions, but the fact of the matter is, an older woman seducing an underage boy is not the same thing as an older man seducing an underage girl. For one, it's pretty hard for a woman to rape a boy. Also, the boy is 14, while too young, it's quite obvious he would probably be very willing at that age. I know I would have been if the woman looked good. A girl would be far less likely to be as willing.
Again, I'm not condoning the ac...
Aren't these girls a little old for you?
@1.2 Vanille was definitely very annoying for the first quarter of the game, but later when she calmed down, due to story reasons (when she stopped having a reason to be so optimistic and happy all the time), she was much less annoying, and I actually felt sorry for her a certain parts.
Hope, on the other hand, was annoying the ENTIRE game. His whiny/self-pity behavior for the first half of the game, then his over-zealous, over-the-top, fake-like attitude for the second half m...
Good call on Persona 5 for ps3. Would love a next generation Persona game. Just as good would be another ps3 SMT game, like maybe a Nocturne sequel.
Also, would really love to, at the very least, hear a confirmation that Dark Cloud 3 is being worked on for the ps3, even if they show little more than a teaser.
FF Vs XIII info would be great as well. Really any ps3 RPG news would be great.
FFXI was fun to an extent. Way too much grinding (way way too much), but the story parts were really good, just too bad it could take weeks of grinding to get to see them. Although from what I read, XIV is gonna be a whole lot different.
Will definitely be trying the game and hopefully it is released this year like it was supposed to be. If it's not until next year, there is a decent chance I would pass it over for The Old Republic. Never played two MMOs at once before, and...
They ask this question as best of all time, not just best of this generation, in which case, I would say "hell, no." It's definitely not the best RPG (JRPG or WRPG) of all time. However, of this generation, the only one I would put ahead of it is Valkyria Chronicles (hey, if you count action RPGs like DS, you have to count SRPGs like VC).
That being said, I'm playing Resonance of Fate right now, and for a more "traditional" RPG style, I would say I enjoy it ...
