@1.1 Completely true, what you said. I'm definitely someone who has strongly disagreed with reviews from various sites (IGN sucks the last couple/few years, for example). However, anyone that thought/thinks this game was gonna be any good is foolish or in their early teens.

I wouldn't really consider FFXI on the 360 a success. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was a four year old game when it came to the 360 and it didn't sell all that well (I think around 200k in its lifetime, which is really low for a FF game that wasn't even full price).
Sadly, DQX has already been confirmed as a Wii title. I would much prefer it be on the DS (or better yet, 3DS), psp, or ps3. DQ doesn't lend itself to motion control if they stay true to the series, so it just seems kind of a waste to not be handheld or next-gen. I'm sure it will sell well on the Wii though, and with Wada running things, we all know it's about sales way before quality.
I have some serious doubts about X. Being on the Wii is just a disappointment, not a doubt....
I realize Sony doesn't own a lot of the games I mentioned, but didn't realize we were only talking first party, also Sony would have a say in certain games. Dark Cloud 3 and Rogue Galaxy are both Level5 games, but Sony owns the IPs, so they would be responsible for their releases. Suikoden is solely owned by Konami, but since Suikoden 1-5 were all ps1/ps2 games, it would make sense that Sony could ask for the game (same with other non-first party RPGs). Sadly though, with Suikoden, like I ...
The next Wild Arms is more likely to come out for a handheld, since the series isn't all that popular anymore, nor has it even had a good game since the second one. Not to mention, a handheld game is far easier to make, takes less money and would probably make more money. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing a new Wild Arms for the ps3, but it would need a major improvement/overhaul from the past few games for me to buy it.
As for Legend of Legaia. I know some people liked ...
In all fairness, there's no such thing as a good news channel, barring local news, depending on where you live. Fox, MSNBC (easily the worst), CNN, etc. are all bad in their own way.
As for Fox News reviewing games, that's no worse than when MSNBC, NY Times, Playboy, etc. review games, they all claim to have video game reviewers, yet they all can't seem to manage more than a paragraph or anything with any form of substance (at least this review is a video, showing a tad more eff...

Sadly, atmosphere is about the only good thing the game has going for it. The gameplay is really bad and feels very stiff and random. The graphics were touted as being amazing, yet on max settings at 1080p on my computer, it is average at best: high res textures, good lighting, horrible characters models, very generic setting (although lighting helps the setting a lot), bad voice acting (at least the English is...bad Russian accents...maybe I should have played with Russi...
Well, the titans are so big, they can't have the accessibility that is in SotC. If you were to run all the way across one of the titans as Kratos, it would probably take hours and would end up being very boring.
The only real negative towards GoW3 for me was that they didn't utilize the titans enough, but the times they did were the most epic level of scale ever in a game.
Your problem seems to be that you can't go anywhere on the titan and kill them, etc. Other ...
I loved the first game, and this will probably be one of my most anticipated titles. However, for the love of God, please hire some people that can animate at least decently. The Witcher had some of the worst animations I've seen since the ps1 days when 3D was first introduced. Even the cutscenes were poorly animated.
I liked most everything else in the game (after all the bugs were fixed); great battle system, atmosphere, storyline, etc., and I even liked that the game wasn...

What does that have to do with this topic? It's about the animations of the game, not gameplay. I'm sure most people would accept that Reach will be a good game in terms of gameplay. I'm just gonna guess that you wanted to reply to the posts in 1, but couldn't because the post was deleted.
I have no doubt that Reach will be a great game, but this is a baseless boast from Bungie. Judging by past accolades, animation is not one of their strong suits.
Also, unless they have different animators doing the final animations than what has already been shown, I have serious doubt they have the talent to produce the level of animation found in UC2, GoW3 and KZ2. Yes, it's a little better than it was in Halo 3 (not that that would be difficult to improve on), but it's not e...
All the questions and comments from the interviewer in this interview give me the impression that he's sitting there with his elbows on the desk, his head in his hands and giving a smile and blank look of awe at Sterling. Probably one of the only people in the world that could be a fanboy for such a horrible journalist.
As for Sterling's reviews. The Deadly Premonition review IS a joke, whether he meant it to be or not. I've seen plenty of videos on the game now that are not ...
While I like 7-9 about equal (with Tactics being my favorite ps1 FF, and FF6 being my favorite overall), I liked that the limits weren't overdone in FF9. Omnislash and Lionheart were both stupid in how powerful they were, and made all but very specific fights a complete joke (Ruby/Emerald Weapon in 7, although they didn't require the skill by any means, and Omni Weapon in 8).
Compared to how awesome RE2 and 4 are, I would agree that 5 is mediocre. On its own, without comparing to past iterations, I think the game is good. It's a lot of fun and it looks great. No, it's not survival horror anymore and should be considered a survival action game now, it was still worth it for me when I paid a full $60 for it.
Although, that being said, I hope with RE6, whenever they release it, they return to the horror genre that's much more personal feeling, and les...

I disagree quite a bit. The characters are hit and miss, just like they were in every other Final Fantasy (except 6, probably the only one where all the characters are good). Sazh, Lightning and Fang are all good characters, Vanille and Snow start out really annoying, but change a lot once they calm down (for story reasons, and it helps make them far more tolerable), Hope, though, I didn't like him from start to finish. I found the characters to be much better than XII, a...
Considering they aren't the best developers and have released some average or worse games, I'm somewhat scared Demon's Souls was a fluke. Sure hope not, of course.
The actresses that play Chloe and Elena are hotter than their UC characters, so would probably be better to focus on real life, at least in this situation. =P
It was a really good game, and has almost become a cult classic. The group of people that made the game are still around, and it was announced a few years ago they were working on something. I think it was called Angel Rings, but seriously believe it has to be vaporware, as no pics, info, or anything other than who was making it, was released. That being said, they have to be working on something. What I believe would happen is they would make a game that might be the spiritual successor ...
Regardless of what a lot of sites and crappy magazines (Edge) are saying, FFXIII is a great game as well, and ranks right with Valkyria Chronicles as my favorite this gen (unless you count Persona 4, since it came out this gen time frame). Demon's Souls would be right there with them, but even though it's made by a Japanese company, when I think of JRPG, I do NOT think of a game like Demon's Souls (not a bad thing, it's just that it seems more like a WRPG than JRPG).
@1.7
I don't think he was commenting on the ability of any of the systems to put out fun/addictive games. It's because it's on all systems (ps3, 360, wii, psp, ds) that it's very likely to be mediocre at best. Almost any time a game is released on all platforms, it's far from impressive. Think of all the Disney games as an example. The only time it somewhat works is with sports games, but usually the games have had the development split way too much and we are left with games...
