It's all subjective, I can't agree that there weren't enormous things at Sony's event, it was definitely the best show at E3 for me.
I mean Spider Man alone was a multi Gigaton announcement, it's a new Spidey game (that's maybe a megaton), then it's a fresh take on the series, not tying into the new movie coming next year (Gigaton), then it's being developed by Insomniac (at least a 2 Gigaton announcement), finally it's a PS4 exclusive (d...
@E3gamer92: It doesn't sound like Sony are announcing a slim PS4 and a more powerful model of that platform in the same conference, killing all sales potential for their current system and slim for the next year and a half, while allowing their closest rival time to make an even more powerful machine before that system launches.
Sony are now in a position to wait and launch earlier, with a better machine.
Even though Guerrilla Games are technical beasts, that make phenomenal use of hardware, who have also hired clearly obvious talent to fill in the holes in their development arsenal.
The game looks phenomenal and it's clear the amount of logical thought that's gone into the gameplay mechanics of that title.
No this article does not ask a good question at all, it's just plain trolling for clicks.
PS4 has about 10 AAA exclusives announced that are...
This article is just plain stupid, PS4 has more life than any other console, with way more games and absolutely the more quality line-up compared to the competition.
At least 10 AAA exclusives that are yet to release, likely planned to drop over the next 18 months, while the rival console system have very little, if anything and Sony also gets way more support from the industry.
People like the writer of this article make me laugh!
Let's put this into perspective, Microsoft announced Sea of Thieves and ReCore for new games coming to XB1, the former wasn't exclusive, the latter ReCore was shown as a CG teaser.
Backwards Compatibility while interesting, doesn't add fresh new games to the industry, the same can be said of Rare Replay, just a collection of older games.
Sony on the other hand announced a massive new exclusive IP in Horizon Zero Dawn, a genre transcending creative devel...
Eight Days and The Getaway were put on hold, but not canceled, so it's possible that those games, along with Agent just couldn't be made to run well enough on PS3, so they got moved to PS4 when hardware was finalized.
This is what happened with Ni-Oh and The Last Guardian, could easily be what happened to all of those games.
Maybe this E3 we'll get new announcements for those games now being on PS4.
Bend Studio's game is rumored to be called Dead Don't Ride http://www.pushsquare.com/n...
There's a card game called Let It Ride and it's also the name of a movie, but that's not the name that Bend's game is rumored to have.
Even without Shenmue 3 and the Final Fantasy 7: Remake, Sony still revealed Horizon Zero Dawn, Dreams and RIGS, 3 completely new AAA IPs for PS4, along with showing that The Last Guardian was still very much alive and now running natively on PS4.
That was a legendary conference.
The fact all of those games were also shown with real gameplay adds even more weight too it as well.
That's not expensive for a console part, if it's $199 at retail, then the cost of the actual GPU chip is about 1/3rd of that, so that AMD can make money on the part.
This means a 6TFlop console right now would only end up costing about the same as the launch PS4 back in 2013. VR is an optional extra, a console with 6 Tflops and way more CPU performance is likely not going to cost more than $399, that's at break even point too.
You know there have been rumors about Sony Bend finally announcing their new IP, Santa Monica revealing God of War for PS4, Sucker Punch revealing their next game (speculated to be a PS4 Spider Man exclusive), Crash and Agent making a comeback?
Then there's London Studio, that never officially canceled Eight Days or The Getaway, they just put both games on hold when games started to get shifted from PS3 to PS4, so it's equally possible both could be revealed as PS4 exclusives...
Oh yeah technically PS Now actually still uses PS3 hardware, so your comment is about as illogical as it comes.
Oh it runs through a TV, that makes it less of an exclusive, LMFAO.
It would have made more sense if you had actually said games remastered for the new generaton, now it's not exclusive to PS3, because that's actually a valid point to make.
You need to think before typing Tob. LOL
As per my last reply to you all of the PS4 exclusives are only on PS4, they're not on any other console, sure when the next generation rolls around some will be remastered or whatever, maybe run on PS5 using backwards compatibility, but that doesn't change the fact that PS4 is the only place to run those games right now.
Day one games like Sea of Thieves are releasing on PC, in the case of exclusives it doesn't count, same as Persona 5 doesn't count as a PS4...
To be fair Nintendo can use the same partners as anyone else, like AMD to develop a new SOC (which is most likely what's going to be in the NX console).
Nowadays console makers don't tend to design chipsets internally, they farm that out, but use hardware architects to research technologies available to them and then go with the best partner vendor to provide for their requirements.
End performance depends on cost and form factor the final product, so if Ni...
There's really no point even measuring the lists of games at this point and asking which looks bigger or better, because it's clear PS4 has this in the bag.
PS4 is beyond a shadow of a doubt the winner, I mean Horizon Zero Dawn, Gran Turismo Sport, The Last Guardian, Gravity Rush 2, Dreams, RIGS, Ni-Oh, Nier: Automata, Detroit and Ni-No-Kuni 2, quality studios are working on all of these and all but the last 2 and Dreams are slated for 2016.
These are all a...
I find this hard to believe when you have a range of games from No Man's Sky, to Dreams coming to the platform.
The actual game can be executed on this hardware, hell lots could be done on last generation hardware as well so the idea that you have to make the game with similarities to previous games you make because of hardware limitations sounds pretty bogus.
Artists painting a scene only have a finite sized canvas, amount of colors to paint with, really it...
@Tobsesan: "After YOUR logic ps3 has 0 exclusives since you can play the games on a TV via PS NOW. Basically PS3 never even had exclusives after you pro logic."
You talk about logic, when PS Now didn't exist alongside PS3 as the most up to date home console from Sony, who's arguing that an older platform needs exclusives when it's been replaced anyway?
My god all you can do is use red herrings.
"Ps1 never had them, sinc...
@Tobsesan: "Games are also on WINDOWS 10 yes, since gaming on WINDOWS 10 is called gaming on XBOX and the XBOX ONE will be a full WINDOWS 10 platform soon, its basically the same thing. Still cant play those game on PS4 or Wii U."
The games stop being exclusive when they're available on more than one platform, Xbox One is the console platform, these games releasing on PC reduces their ability to sell the console.
There are numerous games that you can&...
ReCore and Crackdown aren't meant to be releasing this year and as cyber said those games are also on PC which would be the more capable platform to play them on.
While Forza Horizon 3 may seem likely, it's not been announced yet.
Sony has I Am Setsuna and No Man's Sky releasing in the Summer, while both are on PC if you're going to use XBox games that are releasing on PC as Xbox One exclusives then those games would count for PS4 too.
<...
So true, I mean it's most likely time for Sony Bend and Santa Monica to finally show off their new PS4 exclusives, Agent (not 1st party, but would be a massive deal if it's still a Playstation console exclusive) has been heavily rumored as potentially, finally coming out of hiding.
SCE London officially stated years ago that Eight Days and The Getaway had been put on hold, but not canceled, considering the reemergence of games people thought were vaporware last year at Sony...
Sony's E3 is about Sony providing their platform with the most compelling line-up of games and driving people to their platform. A game like Spider Man being an exclusive will surely do that.
Only the blinded haters from apposing systems would see a Spider Man game being exclusive to PS4 as a bad thing or something that diminishes the hugeness of that factor in Sony's conference.
No Spider Man being exclusive to any platform should be considered a massive t...
