The OG version of the game was available on PS Plus ages ago, I added mine then, so I downloaded it again recently.
Think the Fiancée and I will do a play through soon.
The original is definitely still available here on the UK PS Store.
You can build a PC with a Ryzen 7 5800X, 32GBs of DDR4, 2TB NVME, RTX 4060 (which is a 15TFlop GPU like PS5 Pro has) for around £700, Sony could easily have gotten those specs for around £499, with manufacturing and shipping included, so a profit of £50 per unit would have meant a price no higher £549 for the digital, maybe £599 for a disc version.
A 1TB model could have been sold for £50 less easily if not £100.
@Christopher: Actually I showed I comprehended what you wrote, by answering and acknowledging what you wrote.
As I said Microsoft had already announced everything besides Doom and Gears E-Day, which are first party.
Perfect Dark, South of Midnight, Avowed and the other first party games were revealed a few years ago.
Sony has released more each year the PS5 has been out than XBox has had since the start of the 8th gen.
This year Sony has already released 5 ...
@GhostScholar:
How many of Sony's 2024 exclusive PS5 lineup are GAAS?
Last I checked it was 2 games, out of 9 releases.
From job listings about new PS First Party developed games we don't know much about only a few are GAAS, but you know what? They are catering to that genre, alongside their single player titles, within a bunch of genres.
Where is the evidence that GAAS will be their main focus?
Didn't they...
@Christopher:
Work on your reading comprehension, I said besides what was shown in this "showcase", as in what Microsoft owned studios have had cooking in the oven for over 3 years.
You deflect because you have no answer.
Sony has released 5 games already this year, we're not even half way through yet and they have 4 more coming this year, some from their studios, some from partners, that aren't coming to XBox.
What does Microsl...
People thought a remaster, let alone a remake of Demon's Souls would never happen, yet Bluepoint Games made one for PS5, there have been rumours that they could be creating something related to Bloodborne.
@Christopher: It is because they're all established studios, with great track records and they're under the leadership of Herman Hulst who was responsible for allowing the amazing freedom of creativity that allowed Guerrilla to put out a banger of a new IP with Horizon Zero Dawn.
Those studios have all been given time and they all put out games which are regarded well by the big audiences that play them.
Sony has games cooking, that's clearly apparent a...
What lull?
Did you miss that they have about 9 exclusives for their 2024 slate?
Overall 5 major titles have hit the system, what has the Xbox had?
Microsoft have had barren year after barren year, with a few scraps, Sony have tonnes in their back pocket they've yet to announce.
Did you forget that Housemarque, Bluepoint, Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Bend, Media Molecule and Sucker Punch haven't released anything for 3 years or more?
...
This whole Narrative about that showcase being the second coming of Xbox is laughable!
Most of the games were already announced years ago, they revealed no new IPs from their internal Microsoft owned studios, Doom is coming to PS5 day one, as well as Flintlock, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Atomfall and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.
Sony had a banger of a State of Play, showing Astro Bot for the first time, Concord's gameplay looks great, PS5 is first to get Black M...
This looks so bland, I guess the lack of hardly anything coming to Xbox Series systems has made people easy to please.
The combat looks really one dimensional, gameplay in general looks lacklustre.
Even the visuals don't really look like they take advantage of what UE5 can do.
It amazes me that the likes of Kinda Funny Games said this showcase was up their with the best ever, there was nothing in the way of new IPs announced by Microsoft Stud...
It would be an awesome surprise if Half Life: Alyx was coming to PSVR2 on PS5 and PC.
Hopefully a remake of Bloodborne gets announced, along with the rumoured Astro Bot PS5 game.

This says it all.
Xbox will be everywhere, which means as porting resources allow, they will be putting every game they can port on everything, meaning PlayStation, Nintendo, Apple and Android.
Native releases, they want the money.
This is easy money, they only need to recode the games for P...

Phil stated it outright, they want Xbox games everywhere, so as and when porting resources allow they will put every game on other devices, which means PlayStation, Nintendo, Apple and Android, if those platforms have hardware that can handle versions of their games.
They'll start with Grounded, Sea of Th...
The Verge has an article confirming that Xbox wants their games everywhere, so this is happening eventually, on PlayStation, Nintendo, Apple and Android.
They're supposedly focusing on Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Grounded and Sea of Thieves, which we'll probably hear about once Nintendo have revealed their next console in early March.
Once those games are out we'll start to hear about the next phase of releases, likely more older Xbox One games (th...
I doubt Microsoft will stop having hardware, there's still money to be made for them there, most likely the major releases will take some time to come over to PlayStation and Nintendo.
Most likely the resources to port these games over to PlayStation and Nintendo are scarce and Nintendo also hasn't announced their new platform either.
Microsoft can't announce Switch 2 or whatever it's called.
They probably also want the existing X...
I doubt they'll stop making hardware, there's money to be made there and it's still important to keep the XBox name going, along with product placement in physical stores and on Amazon.
I suspect we'll see Xbox Consoles, a Handheld and even a standalone VR/AR device, that can function as a PCs, with Windows included too, but also an Xbox gaming App.
I think ZeniMax stuff comes first, then we'll have timed exclusivity of major new releases coming...
This looks awesome, I was going to get it, but lost my job the other day, so funds are a bit tight right now.
This looks to have such variety in the weapons and gameplay styles.
The whole Starship Troopers vibe is right up my street.
As soon as I get the funds sorted I'm going to get this, it looks so fun!
Shame, they could still release multiplayer maps set in TLOU2's environments.
I'm sure Naughty Dog could out that mode to make up for not delivering something in line with what they had for the first game, but better in every way like TLOU2 was in it's single player campaign.
Hopefully they've been busy making a new IP and possibly a spin-off set somewhere else within the Last of Us world.
I wouldn't mind seeing new characters, fighting...
The game shouldn't have any loading screens, Series Xbox consoles and PC's with fast SSD's should be able to stream in the data required to make loading seamless.
The successor to XBox Series systems, is Microsoft's open approach to dropping the walls that exist between Consoles and PCs.
They'll sell a handheld and console devices, which are full PCs, but also run both your older digital games, XBox titles and any PC games you may already have.
There won't be limits as far as using Steam, Epic Games Store, etc.
Expect to also be able to use the device as a productivity device, like a standard PC, but fea...
