I have this on my Vita, but I could never get into it on there, I think it's because of the way you control the game on Vita, maybe the tracking and lower frame rate putting me off.

I'll be rebuying it again for PS4, the improved frame rate, better visuals and the fact that you can move the controller, without the whole display moving will make all the difference in getting me into this game this time.

God I need a bigger HDD for my PS4, there are way...

@Donthate: Any device that can connect to the internet can use cloud processing. It doesn't require some specific API.
3rd party can easily incorporate offloading of Compute to an external service or even one they build themselves, which is likely what major 3rd party studios would do to decrease the costs to them and go straight to whichever tech vendor they deem best for their needs.

Techland aren't saying what you wrote, they've just said that Dying Lig...

@Christocolus: 22GBs sound likely, though 2.2GBs would be music too my ears.

The file sizes of games are pretty ridiculous this generation. Like Batman taking up nearly 55GBs.

22GBs would be better than that, but I'd love to see developers optimizing their games better, so they don't have to eat up so much HDD space.

I will say that the Beta likely wasn't anywhere near as optimized as the final release would be, so while 2.2GBs so...

The requirements are likely similar to Fallout 4, The Witcher 3 or any of the current gen titles, although it's possible that because Rise of the Tomb Raider was also made taking 360 into consideration that the minimum specs may be closer to those of the 2013 release.

1600x900=1,440,000 pixels per frame, X 60FPS= 86,400,000 pixels per second.

1920X1080=2,073,600 pixels per frame, X 30FPS=
62,208,000 pixels per second.

900p at 60FPS is a little over 38% more demanding if we're talking about the same level of visuals, AA, AF, etc as the 1080p game at 30FPS.

TBH though AMD's own Puma CPU tech can run at 2.4Ghz on the same level of power as a 1.6GHz Jaguar core.
Puma is still a 28nm par...

Exactly, you don't catch real gamers having to use a qualifier to keep a game exclusive to one platform.

As someone who hasn't bought an XBox One I can play Forza Horizon 2 on my 360, I don't have to get an Xbox One to play that, I can just play on a system I already have. I'd rather buy a PC before getting an Xbox One, so I could play Dead Rising 3 on that system, same goes for Titanfall (can play it on my 360 and if I want the best experience I can build a s...

If NX is one ecosystem, that unifies handheld and console, then that gives 3rd party publishers one install base to sell to, larger than a single Nintendo console by itself.

I think it's still going to take a lot of work on Nintendo's side to get them back in the game, after nailing the system they need to hit the market with exclusive AAA games that appeal to the 3rd party audience.
This means Nintendo 1st party and or 2nd/3rd party made AAA NX exclusives. A ...

Playstation VR is 1080p, Oculus Rift is 4K, most likely PSVR will be less than half the price of Oculus.

There's literally no reason for PSVR to be as expensive as only $100 cheaper than a 4K VR Headset. Sony will also likely sell more, so the volume of production will be higher, which reduces the costs considerably.
Let's not also forget that just like a console Sony will partially subsidize the costs of Playstation VR with games or movies or experiences.

@DIacy13g: The title for this article should be "9 Microsoft to watch for in 2016"

Still has a nice ring to it, but it isn't a lie.

Yep, it was hilarious how Aron Greenberg was making out like competition doesn't matter to Microsoft, with him saying "we only measure against our own yardstick".

The company made huge blunders with the platform, continues to lack on the exclusives for the platform and the Xbox One fans won't even call them on it.
They'd all just rather bury their heads in the sand, it's hilarious.

If MS were actually doing the work, if Phil...

Agreed, AMD has Puma, which if memory serves can be clocked up to 2.4GHz, while running on the same amount of power as a 1.6GHz Jaguar CPU core.
Nintendo could easily use an 8 Core version of Puma, clock it at 2.0GHz and have a 25% faster CPU, while using 20% less power than PS4's CPU.

GPUs have gotten more efficient with the newer AMD mobile tech, plus HBM is available for faster bandwidth, lower latency and better energy efficiency compared to GDDR5.

There's a bunch of people that worked on open world titles, not just CDPR people that were added to GG's roster, but also a major developer who worked on Dead Island.
The people from CDPR are quest designers, open world streaming systems, people that worked on the technical factors behind making an OW game work well.

CD Projekt Red are actually on a new hiring spree for Cyberpunk 2077, they've had job listings for about 60 people for quite a while now. Eve...

@poppinslops:

Bloodborne is a great comparison, it's a completely new IP, not a re-skinned souls game, because it has an entirely new setting, a completely new style of combat, with fast paced ranged attacks, transforming weapons, the only connection is Miyazaki, even the RPG mechanics are entirely changed from the Souls games.

Everything had to be reworked and built from the ground up for that game.
The game being 3rd person or having any similar...

@poppinslops: Horizon's not slipping to 2017, both of Guerilla Games last 2 titles released only 9 months after they were announced.
Hell Bloodborne is another new IP, from a smaller studio than GG and it was announced with CG, only had 2 and a half years of development from pre-pro to release, the behind closed doors leaked footage wasn't running anywhere near as well as Horizon was at E3 last year and you know what? That game released only 9 months after it was announced. <...

They'll sell it to him for the right price, that price will likely be ridiculously high, so it could be a while before Hideo can afford it, unless Sony foots the bill for it and Kojima pays them back over time.

Konami will never make anything up to par with a true MGS game on their own, unless they can partner up with some other talent, but it would still never be a true Metal Gear game.
They'll probably stay on the Revengeance style of game or just clone the ...

Well said! Have a bubble!! :D

MGS should definitely be in Kojima's ownership, I also hope that those people he considers his family at Konami can leave their evil dictatorship and join the KP+SCE family, to make beautifully, awesome Video Game goodness!!!

This was such an awesome early Christmas Present!

I realize Ocelot is say what would make him happy, but as far as Syphon Filter goes, it won't be Bend making the game, if it happened or not until after their new IP is out, unless they've massively expanded to include a second team.
I know they've been hiring for a while, but their website only says they're a studio with over 50 staff, but they outright state they're AAA level, so maybe they're around Media Molecule or Guerrilla Cambridge level in size, so 60 ...

So true, next year is going to be thee best year of this generation thanks to PS4's 1st & 2nd party exclusives, along with 3rd party multiplats and exclusive indies landing next year.
Hell it's already stacking up to be one of the greatest years in the history of console gaming and I really do not think I'm overstating that!

There is however a great deal of Sony's studios and their partners that are still yet to deliver on PS4 exclusives or those t...

Capcom definitely needs to show something new of Deep Down, something that shows exactly what's taking them so long to make this game!

I know they made statements back in March or May that it was undergoing big changes and the scope of the project had expanded, but they should have new gameplay and details to reveal.

Here's hoping, especially with all of the love games like Souls have been getting.
With Ni-Oh and maybe this it would make sense...
