It's one game, by the time you buy a Switch and Zelda you're looking at £339.98 here in the uk, for that you can buy a 500GB PS4, with Overwatch, Ratchet & Clank, Doom, Fallout 4 and a years PS Plus and have £22 left over in change because that awesome bundle only cost you £317.98.

You can do the same for XB1, so you can make all the immature comments you like, calling people names like a hypocrite, but that doesn't stop Switch being insanely ...

The funny thing is that here in the UK the retailer Game has the 500GB new, base PS4, with Overwatch & Ratchet & Clank bundled in for £249.99 and you could get Doom and Fallout 4 for £14 each (I'm sure if you want something different there are others for a similar price or less), so £277.99 (with 4 awesome games) and Switch is £279.99 with no games.
By the time you buy Zelda for £59.99 you're talking £339.99, so you add a year's PSPlu...

Not sure I quite buy this, if Switch is getting a version of Steep and the 8th gen version can be downported to work fine on Switch, then it shouldn't be hard to port the 8th gen version of Fifa to Switch.

@yeahokwhatever: Zelda BoTW looks great IMO, but it's definitely not worth me spending £279.99 on a Switch, plus £59.99 for the game, that's $414.67.

You miss the point, I don't need a PS4 to play TLOU, don't need XB1 for Gears 4 and I don't need a Switch for Zelda BoTW.
It doesn't matter if these games are kept off of another ecosystem, they're not exclusive.

You're the one who doesn't get how to use a word correctly. LMFAO

It has no disc drive, the only ways it will likely play digital video is if you copy content to an SD card or it has media apps like Amazon Prime, Netflix, Hulu, etc.

Very true, I hope Switch sells under half it's launch stock so that people can send Nintendo a message that these kinds of practices are not OK.
I also hope that Nintendo have really merged their handheld and console game development to release everything on this thing, otherwise the volume of games coming to it will be very small.

This system should have been £80 cheaper in the UK, even £249.99 is too expensive when you can get a 500GB PS4 slim, whic...

As things stand I think the only people that are going to be sold on Switch are the Nintendo diehards, the reality to the masses is that this system costs as much, or more than the competition, for weaker hardware, portability and a smaller games library, with what seems like only the odd 3rd party game that they can play on either PS4 or XB1 coming to it, next to a few nice Nintendo exclusives.

I think Switch will sell through it's launch shipment, but probably not bef...

The only games running at a consistent 1080p 60fps on XB1 are Forza Motorsport and a handful of others, BF1 is 720p 60fps most of the time, Halo 5 is often below 900p, Doom too, Gears 4 story mode goes under 900p 30fps.

No Breath of The Wild isn't exclusive to Switch, you wouldn't call Gears 4 an XB1 exclusive or The Last of Us 1 a PS4 exclusive, so why call Zelda BoTW exclusive? It's a completely incorrect use of the word.

People that own a Wii U can buy the game, so there's little incentive to get a Switch for that game.

Use the word Exclusive correctly or don't use it at all, no amount of additional qualifying statements make you or anyone else rig...

Well Zelda and Horizon will no doubt be fighting it out for game of 2017, but Horizon is releasing on the generation's biggest selling console.
There will likely be more PS4 Pro's in homes by March 3rd than there will be Switch's by that date, come Switch launch PS4 will be approaching 55 million maybe even 60 million in sales and I think Nintendo have said they'll only be shipping 2 million Switches this fiscal year.

PS4 has a lot more games than j...

This and XenoBlade 2 looked very nice, but I'm not paying £279.99 for the Switch, those accessory prices are also ludicrous, Nintendo needs to drop Switch to £249 to fit with conversion rates or at the very least include a game for that.

You can buy a PS4 or XB1 for less than with more than one good game and they're both packing more capable hardware, Nintendo have gone mad on their own delusional hype for Switch.

I can't believe that 1 2 Switch and Arms aren't packed in games, last I checked they're both listed as $60 releases, I thought Arms looks like it could be fun for a while, but I can't see many being interested in 1 2.

After Kimishima's chat about Switch releasing in March this year I expected more exclusives, but Zelda is the only real killer app before Splatoon 2 launches and Zelda isn't even an exclusive. Sure the Switch version will likely run bet...

The website reads like you can download a NES classic or SNES game per month and you'll get access to one of those for a month.
Nintendo should be doing something similar to PSPlus or GWG, letting you keep access to those games when you sub to the service.

3441d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Charging for an online service is fine if you have a wide variety of games that take advantage of it, plus the quality is there and subs get access to a bunch of games releasing on your system.

We don't know the cost, full features or anything yet.
Seems like Nintendo are trying to treat Switch like a premium product, while having very little in the way of anything to justify that.

They had better announce more launch games, rethink the price...

This is horrible, the own logical reasons for this are that the Studio didn't have anything new planned in the pipeline for development.
Shu and co are fine investing in games to add to the diversity of the PlayStation library, sure they want games to make them money, but history has shown they're fine having their loss leaders.

I'm sure if Cambridge had a new project to incubate after RIGs they would have been left open, London are a prime example of t...

Lmfao! We know the setting, have seen a bunch of promos, along with a fair amount of gameplay.
It looks great, I know more than enough to know I want to play it!

No Shuhei never explicitly stated they're working on a new IP, he's described the process of developing their new game in the same stages of development as Bend's game back at PSX 2015, but since he's always said "game" and not "New" IP it can't be stated that Sucker Punch's project is definitely a new IP.

Bend were stated explicitly to be working on a new IP before Days Gone was officially announced, no one at either Sony or SP h...

It's assumed the game Sucker Punch are working on is a new IP, it could be that they are or maybe they've done a complete fresh take on Infamous and there's the possibility they could have been handed the reigns of an established IP created by another studio that they felt they could do something cool with.

Hopefully we'll see it at E3.
