@Nintendo4Lifex: There's no need to get all touchy about it, Switch has it's own exclusives coming, like Super Mario Odyssey, Arms, Xenoblade 2, Splatoon 2, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle.
The resources required to port from IBM PowerPC CPU and 6/7000 series AMD GPU architecture, to ARM Cores and Nvidia Maxwell GPU architecture are miniscule compared to what's needed to develop a full new game.
Tbh Nintendo could most certainly develop a Wii U emulator for Switc...

Just thinking about the developers that could be ready to show some new games for PlayStation 4 I've got:

(Unless stated otherwise each studio could be making one game at this time)

1)Sucker Punch.
2)From Software.
3)Japan Studio (could have at least 2 AAA games).
4)Supermassive Games.
5)London Studio (could have at least 2 AAA games, IMO The Getaway and Eight Days still live).
6)Ready at Dawn (could have a...

Agreed, porting or evening polishing up more Wii U games will take less time than it will take them to finish developing newer games and like you say these are great games, people should be given the chance to buy them on Switch.

Personally I didn't buy a Wii U, I want the major exclusives released on it to be brought over to Switch, all of them!

Yeah it's not really that many ports yet, I suppose you could make a case for Fast Racing Neo being in that same category, some people think that Splatoon 2 is very similar, but that's got enough new content IMO, from what's been shown to be considered more than a remaster.

Personally I hope Switch gets a version of Bayonnetta 1 & 2, SMB3DW, W101, Toad, DKTF, XBCX and Smash, maybe a rework of Starfox, hell even a port of Splatoon 1's campaign, because I ...

They really don't, not when it's a no brainer to port that content over, improve on the obvious and sell more copies than Wii U could ever have managed.
More games being brought over and having extra benefits compared to the past system's versions of said games are never a bad idea. Especially when newer software made specifically for Switch could get some extra time cooking and Wii U had a great catalog of content that many didn't get a chance to play.

The title seems like obvious bait, it's clear that Sony are actually in the best position going into E3 with the sheer volume of development resources they have at their disposal and how long numerous studios have had to work on new exclusives for PS4, which we don't currently know anything about.

We don't have to imagine some magical studios out of thin air, which will somehow have been working on some gems for PS4, because there are many which have already rel...

I only ever buy digital if the cost is significantly lower than the physical game, which is hardly ever really the case on console games in the UK and every time I've looked up Steam sales over here in the UK they're rarely cheaper compared to doing a price comparison with a bunch of retailers.

I'll never forget walking into my local Tesco Superstore in Jan of last year and picking up Dark Souls 2, Trials Fusion, Diablo 3 and 2 copies of Saints Row 4/GooH (bough...

What do you mean "only Sold 3.4 million"? The game only came out at the end of Feb in the US and beginning of March in Europe, that's awesome for a new IP that's only been out around 3 months.
Uncharted 4 is the 4th entry in a 10 year old franchise, it's sold over 9 million units, which is understandable given Naughty Dog's popularity. U4 has also been out for just over a year.

Really, you're trying to compare it to Halo 5, which has b...

Actually we know the developers that Microsoft works with, just like we know who Sony works with to make exclusives and Microsoft doesn't have many that could be ready to deliver release ready content within the next 18 months, Sony already announced enough games to cover them through to E3 2018, but they also have a bunch of partners and internal talent that have been busy working on unannounced games for years.

Microsoft aren't backed by enough development talent ...

How? Sony has way more games announced, 9 major AAA titles, 7 of which have to release by E3 2018, that means marketing at major gaming events, E3 will probably have new gameplay, details about each and release dates.

Sony probably has so much in development, which they're yet to announce and they can very likely match their last 2 E3's for spectacle and volume.
If hardware is really a concern for Sony they can easily release an improved version of Pro this...

It's not possible, Sony has 9 major AAA exclusives announced already, at least 7 of them pretty much have to release before E3 2018, there are probably at least 3X that many unannounced games Sony have to reveal over the next 18 months to give those games time market before the end of the generation.

If hardware power is an issue for devs it's certainly something Sony can rectify with an upclocked version of PS4 Pro, with more RAM.
Games wise Sony has a lot...

It's not even a matter of opinion at this point, if we look at the developers who are making games for each platform it's a landslide in favor of Sony.
It's not even like Sony are going to hold games back from this Fall to avoid going up against the major 3rd Party titles coming this Fall because what they have is going to suit the tastes of a different kind of gamer compared to your CoD, BF2 or D2, even SoW or ACO.

Sony has so much stuff that they have...

No they can't LoL, they don't have access to the talent that Sony does and even after putting out legendary conferences for each event they've put on a show at since E3 2015 Sony still has more developers that have been busy working on even more new games, with years of development time behind those new titles.

Money is only part of the picture, but tbh Sony are likely more willing to back PlayStation financially than Microsoft are with XBox, because PlayStation...

@naruga: The only Studios Microsoft has in their camp who could be doing that are maybe 343i, Rare and potentially Playground games, but out of those 3 Studios only 343i could really be ready to show some gameplay of anything, if they had been in pre-production since Halo 4 shipped on 360, then they went into full development on that game when they'd shipped Halo 5.

Sony are in a position where Sucker Punch has been in full production on their new IP since late 2014 at ...

IMO it makes sense for Dreams, Days Gone and Detroit to launch in Q1/2, I'd forgotten about Yakuza 6, those 4 will probably be out early 2018, Spidey, Knack 2, God of War and GT Sport would all do fine releasing September to December 2017 because most are well established brands, plus very different games from the major AAA 3rd party stuff coming this fall.
Maybe Knack 2 gets moved to Jan to give things a bit more space, but it's pretty different from anything else coming Q3 ...

God of War has been in development since Barlog returned to Santa Monica Studio in late 2013, since this game changes things up for the series I doubt it's automatically a given this entry will release in March next year.

Out of Sony's currently announced lineup of major releases this, Spiderman and Gran Turismo Sport would certainly stand out from the crowd of other big AAA fall games, plus Sony does need to make space in their release lineup, so they can give futu...

Technically it's not a remake because it doesn't rewrite the history of the past games.
Spartans were around between 431 to 404 BC, Vikings were well over 1000 years after that, so Kratos still keeps his history. While he's more than a mortal man he's not as young as he once was, given a lot of time has past since GoW3 you can't expect Kratos to be the same man he was over a Millenia Ago.

The 5th mainline game seems to have a lot more depth to t...

An upgraded version of Pro could exist, with an increased clock speed on it's GPU, 50 % more GDDR5, a 4K Blu-Ray player and better cooling.

The tech also exists to make an affordable PS4 Portable.
Depends whether Sony feels the need to release those devices.
There could also be a wireless version of PSVR.

By November Pro and PSVR would be a year old, if Sony wants to keep their hardware performance edge up there with Microsoft then t...

@KwietStorm: So what if we already have iterative consoles, it doesn't mean we can't be given more options.
If Sony just matches Scorpio or slightly outperforms it Microsoft probably wouldn't do anything, not until the next architectural change in hardware, which would be a few years off.

The whole point is to run games as close to native 4K as possible, Pro gets pretty close, but it's core hardware can clearly do more and parts of it's design o...
