Awesome month indeed, I don't buy the Telltale games, but I'll happily play them for a great story and added Platinums. Can't wait to play Until Dawn too.
I need to sort my Vita out for the massive backlog of Plus games I have for it.
@tyasia0: To be fair I've been seeing quite a lot of comments on N4g, the PS Blog PS Plus articles for game updates and the YouTube videos whenever Plus games are announced.
XanderZane isn't wrong here, loads of people have made statements about being glad they didn't renew their subscriptions to Plus. IMO the games being added since PS4 launched have made my subscription worthwhile, especially when I was strapped for cash or I just wanted to play something different to t...
Not really, that's like saying Monkeys have arms and legs, so they must be Humans.
Days Gone will have a variety of different infected animals, including Human/Freakers, as well as regular people with their motivations for doing what they do in this world.
The thing with TLOU is the Clickers weren't just mindless either, because they used strategy to attack, Days Gone's infected creatures still have their core behavior and aren't just mindlessly try...
Well said, I remember another article like this where an N4g user replying to me was adamant Switch should only get new games because everyone that wants Wii U's games had to buy that system and get the games on it. If people didn't like Wii U as a platform and Switch is going to get a bigger audience, then it makes zero sense for Nintendo to hold back Wii U's games from Switch.
Is it bad that Wii U owners will have to buy those games again if they want to play ...
Excellent news, considering enhanced ports don't take anywhere near the resources or time it takes to make full, new game releases, it makes perfect sense for Nintendo to bolster Switch's game lineup by giving the MK8 DX style treatment to older Wii U games.
Hopefully SM3DW, SBU, W101, CTTT, Smash, Pikmin 3, Nintendo Land, Bayonetta 1 & 2 and any other great Wii U games get ported over with additional content, where it makes sense for Nintendo to add it.
Good thing it's not a Zombie game, since the antagonists are a mix of feral, infected Humans and Animals that are still alive, along with regular Humans that are out for themselves or their immoral group.
If you'd written you've had enough of post apocalyptic settings I could get your point, but then the same could be said about any genre of games, because they've all been done for the most part.
Technically Days Gone features feral people and animals that are still alive, they have different behavior from each other and aren't just attacking based on a single impulse, they still think and feel.
The Clickers in The Last of Us are attracted to sounds, they attack because of that impulse, plus they're also still alive, unlike Zombies, which are dead.
After comparing Days Gone to Ride to Hell: Retribution your comment can't be taken seriously, I me...
I was actually talking about a traditional home console, though Laptops exist with that GPU in it, it's very cheap on the customer side at retail, would be very cost effective for Nintendo to even make a portable with it in today.
The 2GB 1050 is about $110 at retail, GTX 1050ti with 4GBs of GDDR5 is only $150, Nintendo would probably pay about half that, with RAM and GPU Chipset.
You or I can buy a battery with almost 5X the capacity of what's in Switch fo...
Knack 2 looks great, plus it's only going to cost £29.99 at launch when it releases in September.
Seems to be even more fun than the first game, with loads of improvements to every area of the first game that people hated on.
I can't wait to play it.
As was written by awdevoftw it's not a Naughty Dog game, Bend made it, they should be asked, not ND.
There's nothing average about it, I mean the depth of mechanics, quality of AI, the fact the weather effects how the NPCs behave. The ambush in the demo could happen in numerous different ways, anywhere in the game's world, based on the personalities of those AI characters, I mean one of them acted afraid because it suspected Deacon was going to stamp on his head, which wasn't scripted.
The physics, fact that Freakers could be Human or Animal, loan or in various...
According to Tim from Kinda Funny Games he went into a behind closed doors demo for Days Gone thinking it was very similar to The Last of Us, but afterward he came out thinking it was yet another Horizon level push for gaming, taking awesome gameplay mechanics, putting a tonne of logical features that make sense in that kind of game world, into the game.
I'm just as excited for this as Horizon, Spidey, God of War or any of Sony's stellar new exclusives, the depth of...
@morganfell: That rumor was debunked around the time it came out, the artwork for a western game was actually for a VR game being made by another studio. Apparently the art is for a potentially cancelled Sony London VR game, the thread you linked tries to link the Sony trademark for Gnomageddon to the Western game, but that makes no sense.
It's of course possible that Sucker Punch's game could be western themed, but no legit source has been outed to support any real...
Some of Nintendo's current generation games can run at 1080p on Switch when it's docked, that's using a 256 Cuda Core Nvidia Maxwell GPU, clocked a 768Mhz it hits 393gflops, the GTX 1050 with it's 640 Cores, clocked at 1455MHz that hits 1.862TFlops, which is 4.7X more powerful than Switch's GPU.
Arms, MK8 and Fast RMX are running at 1080p 60FPS in docked mode, apparently Splatoon 2 is now as well, so with over 4X the hardware performance using a 1050 Nin...
If you mean overheating, it's not going to be an issue, a GTX 1050 only uses like 65-70 watts, with the Arm cores in Switch, plus a few other parts a home console half the size of PS4 Slim would be very cool. Manufacturing would be no more expensive than any other sub 2TFlop console.
WTF are you on about with the rest?
It's no issue, having a more powerful Nintendo machine, for a comparable price to PS4 and XB1-S, with enough power to run current multiplats...
PS4 is great for everything gaming related, be it awesome exclusives and great console versions of 3rd party multiplats, it's also available for a great price too, same is true of Pro, XB1-X is expensive for the tech it's got.
Whether XB1-X gets superior multiplats will depend on developers taking advantage of the extra hardware performance, which will be the case with some games, but probably not a given for everything.
Personally I'd rather buy a Swit...
A GTX 1050 is very cheap, to the point where Nintendo could launch a 4K capable console which could run games like Arms, MK8 Deluxe and Fast RMX at 4K 60FPS and put out a standard console for $249 to $299.
It should even be able to handle Zelda BoTW at 4K 30FPS.
Pretty affordable for those that want a 4K or sub 4K, 1440p gaming device on the cheap.
There's always Super Sampling for those that have good sub-4K TVs, who just want better image quality out...
With the level of visuals Nintendo are running on Switch an Nvidia GPU, like the GTX 1050, which has 640 Cuda Cores could handle Arms, MK8 and Fast RMX at 4K 60FPS easily, with substantial headroom left to add a little extra AA or push some better textures or other visual improvements.
Switch can run those games at 1080p 60FPS when docked, with a 393gflop NVidia Maxwell GPU, the 1050 has 4.72X more raw horsepower than Switch's GPU, plus it's cheap enough for Nintend...
Clearly people disagreeing here don't understand what native resolutions Switch is reaching with the 256 Cuda Cores it has in it's GPU, Arms, MK8 Deluxe and Fast RMX all run at 1080p 60FPS when the system is docked, that's using a 393gflop NVidia Maxwell GPU, all of which is confirmed by Digital Foundry.
4K is 4X more demanding than 1080p, so a 1,572 GFlop GPU with the same core Architecture could run 4X that resolution with the same visuals.
I'm no...
It's always the danger with these subscription services, like I still have Transformers Devastation in the plastic, which was on Plus a while back, if the physical copies are still in new condition you could always sell them after they come off of plus.
