@Sevir: The trailer didn't show any powers, it had the Samurai transform into what looks like a Shinobi, the cloud of smoke was from a physical, period appropriate explosive.

This seems grounded in realism, with a stylistic edge.

Yeah, it seems more like a realistic, dramatic epic story, about a fallen Samurai Warrior who becomes a Ninja or Ghost.

The smoke literally looked like a Ninja explosive, used for deception as a strategy, I don't think this game will have Infamous style powers.

I personally hope it's a logically thought out, realistic melee game, set in a vast open world, with a landscape that's alive and packed with depth that fits the era.

@morganfell: God of War was playable from start to finish at the beginning of 2017, yet it didn't release until April 2018, I'm pretty sure Cory Barlog was saying in Jan 2017 the game was fully playable.

Bend are a small studio, even with outsourcing there's probably still a lot of work to be done to get the game to run and play exactly to Sony's standards to make the target audience happy.

Bend are said to be ahead of their goals and coul...

Even with PS5 releasing in Fall 2019 Sony always supports their previous PlayStation home console for about 10 years since it's launch with software.
Things wind down about a year or 2 into the latest current gen.

This is just another point that supports a Fall 2019 launch for PS5.
A big ramp up in output for games on the next system takes a year or two for developers to really get releases happening.

A PS5 release doesn't mean P...

Never heard of this bloke before, he also thinks 1-2 year incremental updates to console hardware will become standard.
There's no logical reasoning behind his points.

PS4 came 6.5 to 7 years after PS3, but it's an outlier, not the standard length of time between new PlayStation generations.
Every past gen has been 6 years apart, parts will be available at a good price point for next gen to start.

Programmers are well into develo...

This is basically all bang on the money, not sure why anyone would disagree.

Just actually try!
Announce real games, that are outright exclusive to the XBox One, that are new, fresh games.

Halo 6 is expected at some point, make it about Master Chief, make that exciting.
Bring back Fable, as a proper RPG, single player focused, open world, like their own Witcher game, but with unique style.
Bring back either Banjo or Conker, along with Project Dark, done well.

Show all of the above with real gameplay and ...

I'd like to see a new Pilot Wings, Wave Race, F-Zero, Starfox and new IPs.
Besides what we already have announced to be coming in the future like Pokémon, Metroid Prime 4, Yoshi, Pikmin 4 etc I'd love to see ports of 3D Mario World, Wonderful 101, Pikmin 3, Starfox Zero (reworked for Switch), the Zelda Wind Waker remaster, etc.

Remasters of games like Super Mario Galaxy 1 & 2, just any of the great classic Nintendo games unique to their family of s...

So annoying to have to click through 15 pages, when Gamingbolt could have put everything on one page.

Obviously to increase the number of clicks they get.

Or make a good single player campaign, with good mechanics and multiple branching paths to make it replayable.

I don't think anyone is saying don't have a battle royale mode, but to completely ignore the player base that has supported your game, because you've stuffed up building content that draws them in isn't a reason to stop making content for them at all.

Treyarch and Activision shouldn't be surprised if the sales of BOPS4 don'...

Unless Battle Royale can be played offline this means DRM is in full effect here and anyone buying into this will basically be at the whim of the publisher when they decide to turn the servers off.

Unless Blackout features good AI that can run purely on your system of choice you won't be able to play this for as long as you own said system of choice.

Great shame.
Treyarch had better keep the servers on forever.

The single player campaign should always be there on day one to define the identity of each new COD release.
Same as multiplayer should be there day one.

If they wanted to add a battle royale then fine, but not to the detriment of what's been a core part of each release since the begin of the series.

The only way I'd buy this is if I saw it for £10 about a year after launch, then again I waited to buy Infinite Warfare Legacy Edition ...

Meh, doesn't seem like there's an offline single player campaign, which should always be a part of COD, that and the MP always went hand in hand.

Obviously it will sell a crap tonne, mainly because of Battle Royale.
Shame, maybe I'll pick it up if I see it cheap, for like £10 in a few months into 2019.

Usually we don't know which games will be at a publisher's conference, it's great to know 4 of the most highly anticipated titles will get real gameplay short, with 3 of those games having never had anything of real gameplay shown before.

So those games will be Sony's focus, last I checked focusing on something doesn't meant you don't also deal with anything else.

Sony has confirmed there will be announcements of 3rd Party and Indi...

Not all games on every platform no, but you still can't call a game 4K or 60FPS in it's entirety if it's not fully stable in both areas, with no deviations.

If you keep saying things are something they're not people won't take you seriously, quit the nonsense.

If a part of the rendering pipeline runs below 60FPS, then the game isn't a rock solid 60FPS.

Animations running at sub 60FPS are still a part of the game, not sure why you'd feel the need to lie to cover that up.

What do you mean it's not even possible to run portions of the game at different frame rates? It's a fact of that game, 30FPS is a feature used to optimize the game so that the game can run at 60FPS in certain areas.

2952d ago 5 agree2 disagreeView comment

I think for next gen assets and visuals in general people would be happy with 1440p and up as a baseline if good checkerboard and temporal rendering techniques were employed to reach a stable 60FPS.

Higher frame rates should be more attainable with more current Ryzen CPU architecture, depending on how complex the physics and AI are in those games.

I would expect Dice, COD Devs, ID and Sony's first party to shoot for 4K 60FPS or at least 60FPS with dyn...
