Actually the level of sales those games reached actually supports his point.

Smash sold 13M on Wii, the other games you mentioned all sold a tiny fraction compared to Wii Sports, which was bundled and sold with all Wii systems.

No other games sold that much.

Sure the likes of Smash Wii sold great, but not to all of the masses who bought Wii for Wii Sports and Wii's motion tech.

It's because they wrote "All in 4K/60FPS", those games are highly likely from Microsoft.
I think Gears 5 could even be there in some form, like a teaser or title screen thing.

Come this holiday it will have been 3 years since Halo 5 came out, FH4 was already confirmed (plus it's the Horizon year of the Forza series), unless Crackdown 3 has been cancelled.

A new Fable has been rumoured as in development by Playground Games for a ...

Hopefully Deep Down will make it's return on Sony's stage, that game needs to be re-revealed whatever it's become.

A new Devil May Cry, probably another Dead Rising and people would love a Dino Crisis.
Maybe the Nintendo Switch Monster Hunter game will finally get revealed.

A new Megaman would be cool if they could do it right.

Shitty parents, with no proper understanding of how to raise kids is a big part of it.

Games, just like any medium of entertainment has been proven the not really a negative effect on kids or anyone to the point where it truly f's up them, it's genetics+environmental effects that make you who you are and both are way too complex and far reaching within a person's pschy to allow superficial media to effect a person beyond the influence of more persistent input. ...

Technically The Order still had the DPI of a 1080p image, it also features extensive AA, which could be reduced if higher resolutions were employed in a Pro Patch.

Another thing that should be considered is that other games have exceeded The Order's visuals (like God of War, Uncharted, even Horizon does), while removing the bars and expanding the world's boundaries and complexity.

Clearly RaD were inexperienced with major AAA game creation and als...

Sony are also making some of the best games of all time, shoot them and Nintendo for trying to cater to a different audience.

Have you even tried it?
Have you had any hands on time with any of the Labo Kits?

As a person that has had hands on time with both Kits I can tell you now the kits have depth that appeals to this adult and I would happily spend hundreds of hours running around Yarnam, or the world of the Witcher 3, BoTW's Hyrule (among many other versions of it).

On the surface it may seem like a gimmick, but in reality Labo is deep, with a lot of options for...

They'll have at least a few things they haven't revealed yet, probably Japan's biggest secret, we know it's something of a western audience focused epic, likened to Final Fantasy, but that's about it.

From were stated to have another PS4 exclusive in the works and the Ratchet team at Insomniac have been busy since their last game launched (that studio are highly productive).

Sony are in one of those positions where they can easily put ...

I think it's pretty clear Sony and Nintendo will knock it out of the park, Nintendo with revealing Smash, probably showing Yoshi, Fire Emblem, maybe Bayonetta 3, Pikmin 4 and Metroid Prime 4, along release dates and pretty meaty details for those games.

I suspect something like the next games from Monolith Soft and Retro Studios will get announced.
Maybe a few remakes or ports of Wii U and other Classics, probably SM3DW, W101, not sure what else.
Maybe...

@Thrust: Xbox one X doesn't run 3rd Party games best anyway, as Jackel already pointed out I said I'm building a new PC.
TBH I care more about the games Sony and Nintendo have, Xbox is terrible now.
Sony, Nintendo and a handful of independent or 3rd party Devs are the ones actually moving video games forward.

It wouldn't hurt to bring back some lesser used classics, like Banjo, Conker, Kameo, Viva Pinata, Perfect Dark and others.

I think in the past they've had Devs make these IPs and not given them some more tries to improve on their formula.
Maybe they should use the Ninja Theory approach of limiting budget, but trying out more indie style, development techniques to see if they can actually make something from existing ideas.

A couple of sol...

I love my OG XBox and 360, never expected them to fall so hard, I expected much more, but they failed to convince me to buy this gen.

Given what Sony and Nintendo have to offer I likely won't bother with an XBox unless they shut up and actually act.

Announce real games with gameplay, or show gameplay soon after announcements, for games that actually look fun.

This gen is done for them, it's been done since like E3 2014, everythi...

They need a bunch, at least one across every major genre that can provide differences to established multiplats and their competitors franchises.

Something with logical thought out systems, that make for a believable and solid experience, genre defining, made by teams people trust would be great.

They haven't earned their place in the market, they've been riding on the back of people they've bought with money, instead of supporting the industr...

Actually it's well behind at this point, pretty sure the 360 was at the low to mid 60 Millions by this time in the 7th gen, XB1 (using "The One" just sounds wrong given it's position in the market) has likely at most sold around 40 million, not bad, but a definite step behind 360 for the timeframe it's been around.

BTW revenue isn't profit, it doesn't tell you how much they've made after costs.

It's never a matter of one IP alone making a platform desirable to invest in.

Microsoft needs a diverse range of quality, real exclusives you can only play the XBox console of the moment, sold for a good price, with decent hardware at launch that will sustain the base requirements to run modern games reasonably to the masses.

Microsoft's only hope now is to just embrace becoming the gaming platform of windows and have XBox simply be the easy acces...

Yeah the OG XBox was basically the Dreamcast's successor everyone wanted after Sega bowed out of the console hardware business.

Shame Microsoft aren't pushing to get the games on the current Xbox like they did back then.

What's funny is I was all about OG Xbox, GameCube and Dreamcast, didn't even have a PS2 back then, now I only really give a damn about PS4 and Switch, looking to get into PC when funds allow me to get the stuff I need to b...

Just going by the numbers, if base XB1 can run a game at 900p or 1080p at a flawless 60FPS then XBox One X should be able to handle those games with the same visual assets, textures etc, at 4K native 60FPS, if AA is used in base XB1 games then it wouldn't be needed at 4K, so there could be a little headroom to improve assets or textures somewhat.

Games like Forza Horizon 2 and 3, along with Gears 4's so mode were 30FPS, so native 4K is possible at the same frame rat...

And the rest.
Tbh if Sony were to launch PS5 with a Horizon sequel at $399/£349 and a handful of other titles like Knack 3 and solid games announced for the next 6 to 12 months they'd probably sell 10 million units before E3 2020.

Coz PS5 is basically a lock for release Holiday 2019. It'll also be BC with PS4 for sure, with many Devs having true 4K native last gen games and locked performance.

GT Sport will probably be on Plus at som...

They didn't make $2.5B, since they only generated $1.916B, in revenue, not profit.

There's no indication what costs have to be deducted to tell people what their actual profits or losses were.

CSNBC had an article in January of this year that shows Xbox has never been profitable.
Services like Gamepass aren't free for MS, they cost them, it's not clear how many people pay subs for the service.
