@Kokyu: except Switch didn't drop off in sales after it's launch window, it's continued to sell at a monumental pace and it's had more compelling reasons for people to buy it throughout it's shorter life than the whole 5 years Wii U was supported by Nintendo.
Switch will also have proper Pokémon games, it's got a bunch of compelling reasons to keep it selling and will be getting even more.
Wii U had a lot of empty promises, Sw...
Wii U only sold 13.56 million units, since 2012, Switch outsold it by over 4 million units.
That disproves your claims.
I'm one of many Switch owners that didn't own a Wii U, it's portability is a major selling point.
Labo is just an option and one that adds a lot of innovation to Switch's lineup, I mean endless possibilities for interaction with the system, it's more than a gimmick, sales and deep functionality support that. ...
Forza Horizon sure, but Fable isn't guaranteed to come to XBox One, it could be for the next generation.
Playground Games only started expanding to include a second team for a second project and this would be a different type of game for them to take on.
We may not see any signs of it launching for the next few years.
Even though Sony have already confirmed they have more to show, to the point where they had to spread 4 major announcements across as many days before E3 even begins.
Yeah Sony haven't revealed their hand, there's also Nintendo, who will be pushing to get games announced to cover them to support their sales targets for Switch.
Neither Sony or Nintendo are going to let up on the announcements and neither have shown their hands, both have a tonne of resources...
How is the ball in their court?
I think the only way that happens is if they announced a new Banjo, Perfect Dark, Fable, Conker, Crimson game, new IPs from 343, The Coalition and Turn 10, all with great looking concepts and real gameplay and with all being fully fledged AAA exclusives for XBox One.
With all coming out over the next 18 months.
Along with revealing great new entries to their core franchises like Halo, Gears and Forza Horizon.
You may get the odd thing, but those games will...
Technically we don't know what these things are and just because we're being told to expect new games and release dates that doesn't mean these things are the only things Sony will announce during the next week.
Surprises will still happen because we don't know exactly what these things are.
Capcom said they were reworking it into something different from their original plans, maybe it could be time for them to reintroduce it at either E3 or a future Sony conference.
I'm interested to see what's happened to it.
I could see Sony doing a PlayStation gaming tablet, with DS4 style controls as a part of the system.
Ryzen 3 2200g has a way better CPU than PS4 with 4 Ryzen 1 Cores at base clock and the 8 Vega GPU CUs at base clocks are within spitting distance of PS4's GPU.
Cut the CPU clock speed in half and run half the CUs of the 2200g and you're at about half the power consumption of the PC SoC, even at 14nm.
7nm will be available soon, that will d...
There probably wouldn't have been souch backlash if the games had wild Pokémon battles.
Online play would have helped too.
I'm interested to see more, I like the style of it, it's a shame there's no Wild Pokémon battle though.
I need to see more before deciding whether I'd get a copy for my Switch, haven't played a Pokémon game since the original Gameboy release so I could be interested if there's enough diversity in the gameplay, environments and in the overall quality and quantity of content.
Fallout 76, sure it says building the future, could either be Starfield or returning the wasteland to a liveable state.
Can't tell much from the trailer.
My guess would be a new Fallout game, I don't think Bethesda would tease like that for a remaster of an older game or a port for Switch.
Even a new Shelter or mobile game probably wouldn't get that kind of treatment.
Maybe Starfield is connected to Fallout or they have a different kind of Spin-off like New Vegas for consoles and PC.
If they were going to announce a Fallout 3 remaster or New Vegas one or a collection of both for ...
Exactly, I've had mine since launch here in the UK, I've considered getting a pro, but I'd rather put that money towards the next gen, especially given how easy Backwards Compatibility is going to be for Sony to implement.
The common trend of negativity surrounding this topic is coming from people who either just bought a PS4 Pro or Slim, I haven't seen a single person who bought a PS4 in the first year saying they think it's too soon for PS5.
...
I recall the same things being said about PS4 when that hadn't been announced, people were saying what was the point of releasing the PS3's successor when we had games like The Last of Us, but it's clear there's a need for faster CPU tech to improve AI, allow for faster and smoother frame rates, better physics.
A better GPU obviously allows for the same things, along with higher resolutions, better visuals in general and techniques that simply haven't be...
It's not really the length of time, it's what you have to show and how you show it.
They need surprise games, that wow the audience with real gameplay and concrete details on when those things will come out.
Even 30 minutes could great if you cut out the chatter from boring people like Phil Spencer, show off the real products and keep the momentum going until the curtains close at the end of your show, but do that leaving people wanting more.
7nm has already entered mass production, it will be mature next year, there is nothing better coming in 2020 so what you're saying isn't supported by the evidence.
2019 will be when costs will allow for a 4K native console, with next gen visuals, but 60FPS will require sub-native resolutions, current 8th gen visuals, with ultra settings, some improved AI and increased physics because of the vastly improved CPU architecture and more efficient GPU architecture, which will featu...
A well known insider on Neogaf who used to give information mentioned it years ago, he leaked a bunch of games for PS4 and that was one of them.
His name was Verendus.
There would still be plenty of time to market 2019 releases or even surprise games that haven't been announced yet for release this Holiday.
Insomniac had the resources to both develop Sunset Overdrive, Ratchet and then shift to Spidey in 2014/2015, they could easily surprise with another game announcement like Ratchet 2.
Japan could have numerous things in the works, they're meant to have a new big IP on the scale of Horizon which is has been in developmen...
So how will this work then?
I doubt all publishers will want to pool their games onto a single service and share a tiny portion of revenue from a subscription plan.
They can't expect people to pay the prices they do now for some "perceived ownership", which could easily go away if you decide to close your company for financial reasons or if the customer does something you don't like.
Streaming will be more available for sure, but it'l...
