Even Sony have confirmed PS5 is in development at this point and the whole hardware landscape is ready for it to happen as early as this Fall, with TSMC being busy mass producing 7nm wafers already, to make new hardware a thing.

Samsung has been making GDDR6 for a while too, which will go into products soon, AMD has Ryzen+ with the next gen of that CPU architecture coming soon and AMD also has a GPU planned for early next year that will perform on par or a bit better than N...

Why do you only use the numbers from the Variety Kit sales?
All in all Labo sold 119K, both Kits are more expensive than a regular game, because of the volume of overall content and materials involved, but that means money spent is still pretty high.

Over $8M in a few days for a new IP that has been getting a lot of undeserved hatred isn't bad for one country's game launch.

What's factual exactly?

So in your mind @Psychosious it's not OK to have one's own likes and defend the existence of something I feel is pretty genius and that looks very fun to use that connects to my Switch?

Tbh first and foremost I'm a PlayStation Fanboy, which I'm pretty proud to be, considering the level of games Sony and their Devs continue to deliver, I'm also a Nintendo fan who's been loving their core experiences on Switch and am very proud of what they've got ...

Labo's sold 119k in it's first few days, in Japan, that is 100% awesome considering it's seen as "Overpriced Carboard Rubbish" that's certainly awesome.

The variety kit is a fair bit more expensive than a regular game on Switch, yet it's sold more than anything else in Japan for over a month.

Awesome indeed.

@Corndog: Nah I''ve been coming here for years.
It was retorical really.

It's not just Cardboard, it is what Labo represents and what it allows Kit Owners to do.

Obviously the concept doesn't fit with your tastes, but that doesn't diminish the interest people like myself have in being able physically can construct potentially limitless means of interacting with software.

Tbh it doesn't matter that it's made with Cardboard Sheets (in part), it could be made with plastic, wood, metal or rubber and cost signif...

Nice comment, sounds cool, glad you're having fun with it.

How can anyone disagree with my post, it's facts and figures, along with my opinion, about something I'm excited about.

At least write a comment to explain why you don't agree and put some logical thought into it.
I guess it's just easy to have no backbone and check a box anonymously, no one can directly focus on your flaws as an individual.

I think it's going to sell consistently worldwide.
Looks like I'll have to wait for mine, the post office holding my Labos is closed without notice today.
I won't be using them anymore, terrible place.

So 30% of the total initial shipments for Labo were sold through in 2 days, if it maintained that pace then 100% would be sold across Japan in it's first week.

According to Media Create's numbers, the Variety kit sold 90,410 and the Robot sold 28,629, sold all in all in 2 days Labo sold 119039, which means 100% of Labo's ship were almost 400K.

This kinda puts things in better perspective.
Japan isn't exactly the largest market and...

Jack Tretton is a legend, but yeah that's what I thought when reading that headline.

Most likely because they were under Sony's supervision whilst making Ratchet, Resistance and now Spidey, with Marvel also taking their Franchises more serious than ever.

Microsoft only seems to care about a few character focused games, like Halo and Gears, many of their newer 8th Gen games have essentially become faceless, with no single character for the audience to relate to.

I haven't played Sunset, but I get the impression the gameplay was fun...

None should come to XBox or any other platform, since PlayStation cultivated their studios, learned how to manage a portfolio of Devs to continually perfect the craft of making games and learning that diversity of titles is what brings gamers to your platform.

Nintendo has learned this now too, well they have always cultivated great development talent, but they are now targeting a global audience with Switch providing a flexible use system, with a good selection of most kin...

Great month, I have the Steel Book version of Beyond on my PS3, but don't have it on my PS4.

Have been thinking of getting Rayman Legends for a while when it was on offer, I very happy with these Plus additions.

Beyond is already out on PS3 and 4, it's a plus addition, great to see a QD game on the service IMO.

For those that have a plus membership, but don't have any Quantic games this is great for them to try out.

When we get sunny weather the UK can be beautiful, hell even some winter/grey weather is gorgeous.

We also have some great roads to drive around.
If Playground Games made it possible to drive the best roads in the UK, with realistic weather and no potholes I think people would enjoy it.

With the right developer, tools and ideas any game concept can work in 3D, but the beauty of modern tech and software is that developer's options are nigh on boundless.

Sonic in a true platforming based open world, with good draw distance, maybe some lock on features for those that need it, a little qte in complex battles, but some on-rails moments that still allow the play to view the necessary elements of levels they need to see to give them enough info to react to fa...

The viability of these kinds of services is always going to depend on how many users are willing to pay on a regular basis, basically indefinitely to keep it funded.
The end user always thinks about them getting as many games for as little outlay as possible, but they forget that it actually diminishes the value of quality content from day one of a new game's launch.

Microsoft has seen a drastic drop in the sales of their games since last generation, Sony on th...

For E3 I'd say don't expect anything specific that the Publishers haven't already confirmed before the event, but I'm hopeful that we'll get the following:

Metroid Switch gameplay and an indication of a window when it will release.
The same for Bayonetta 3, Yoshi, and Pikmin 4, I think the last 2 need to get release dates.

I think Pokémon for Switch will get details and gameplay before E3, same will likely happen with Sma...
