The predictions the author makes are pretty good, if talked about quite a bit already. I really like the 2nd one, and only the 2nd one - a handheld console that's just a little better than the WiiU in processing power, therefore controlling game asset production costs just a bit, that you can plug into a TV and get in 1080p or possibly 4K, depending on the year of release. You'd have a heavily usable device with developers who enjoy making games for it beyond Nintendo, with their port...
So, is "Justy x Nasty" a Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back game? ;)
"Project Big." Makes sense to me!
I really wish this was true - and a sequel to the first three, not that fourth one. Not sure Capcom has the cash to support it anymore, though. Unless Sony supported them...
I've seen less overcooked food from Ceaseless Discharge's kitchen!
The steak is so raw that it's still leaping off of towers with an axe!
@SuperLupe, you obviously never fought the Fox News boss in DmC. It's fun! It's not DMC3 fun, but at least it has a satisfying story that resolves itself.
I really hope this is the case - a handheld/console hybrid would be awesome. They won't have a need for a gigantic long-standing 3DS market if they're investing in a new handheld either way.
Plus, the 3DS is awesome but not quite hitting that price point internationally where anyone would pick it up. That library of games they've got on there is great, people will pick them up as prices go down.
They've booked some really niche, interesting developers in Japan to make some good stuff, and as a guy who only had a PS3, I was a little salty about not being able to play the downloadable Radiant Silvergun or Cave shooters.
I'm saying this because I don't think they haven't tried in Japan. They just failed. I feel like they may as well have not released the Xbone there.
I almost agree about XII - I really loved some of the characters, the art style, the music, the first city's design, etc., but it came across as incomplete to me. Here you are in Rabanastre and it's huge! Go to the supposedly larger Capitol and not only does it not scale, there isn't much to do. The story had warring nations, discussions on politics, race, and more, but it fizzled at the 2nd half into "Watch this Star Wars CG video and go beat The Big Bad." The airships ...
I think the interesting thing isn't what we've forgotten, it's what has changed. Microsoft's switch in direction from requiring the Kinect bolstered sales by dropping the price, but that throws a wrench in their 2012 plan.
I remember seeing this 2 years ago, and Kinect 2 was supposed to be the thing you'd use with Fortaleza. Makes me wonder if a Kinect 2 is required for HoloLens (incl. a separate one for PC?), and how they'll sell it - packaged togethe...
I know they have a war chest of money from the Wii, but I can't help but think they've already moved in a new direction away from the Wii U or are trying to make it cheaper. The cost of the gamepad's making it tough for them to cut the price, and I think it's killing them on sales. They already didn't see the bump they wanted with Mario Kart or Smash. A new Zelda game will only help so much.
Whether it's a new WiiU at a lower price, a price cut, or the...
I'm betting this isn't an event for announcing games. Sony really doesn't need to undercut its E3 presentation. They're doing this in New York, so I'm betting it's either an online service, something social, or something portable. The fact that they're playing nice with Spotify really signals a policy turn on their Sony Music/Qriocity-focused monopoly on Playstation music. It's possible that Spotify's going to be fully integrated as a new kind of custom sou...
I think the ****ed-upness is the point of those games. Maybe they're making something else that's super bizarre...

Einhander 2!
CHANT WITH ME!
EINHANDER 2!
Oh, that's right, this is basically a redo of the Fortaleza idea in non-project form, with a more broad focus. I hope, unlike Google Glass, that the actual product produces the kinds of experiences in the ads.
Also, I'm very glad this will work with PC. There are a ton of non-gaming applications this could be applied to if it's great, especially in the medical and industrial fields.
I mean, if this isn't a complete BS commercial, this looks li...
"It's still kinda like anime. Thumbs up!"
"These are realistic monsters based on actual ecology. So here's this giant enemy turtle..."
As much as I wasn't very excited about a New 3DS before, I was going to pick one up, because the regular white 3DS model with the Super Famicom-colored buttons was too hard to resist. Go figure we don't even get that, because... I don't know, "This is America, where things are big and light colors aren't masculine enough?" Whatever.
... I still might get one because of that head-tracking 3D. The charger issue pisses me off, and I really want region-f...
You know what's great? Seeing someone stream this demo over and over and watching the new people's reactions when Ramuh gets summoned. Every time, all caps, all the time.
