That Mario Maker deal is great, since I have Prime. Thanks!
This guy frames Nintendo's issues as if they have an important decision to make *now.* Given the rumored release dates, their R&D wrapped this up over a year ago and they started working out manufacturing logistics *then.* There's nigh a decision to make that won't be implemented post-launch anyway.
Or they could change their minds and go back to the drawing board, in which case we'll see something new from them in 2018 at the earliest, and at that point,...
They're stopping producing commercial games and focusing on the kinds of art games they've made in the past. Which seems like a good idea, because as they learned, making these kinds of games takes a lot more money than you think for far less sales than you'd expect.
But hey, Luxuria Superbia was cool, alright?
Welcome to the world of console-exclusive deals as Kickstarters for the development of a new-gen franchise. Microsoft had some shooter bragging rights for a while by paying for many of Respawn's costs to make Titanfall, and Respawn got to make their game. If MS really wanted Titanfall to stay exclusive, they'd just buy the studio and make it first-party.
Otherwise, it's on to the sequel, where they'll build on pre-existing material, and therefore they can cre...
They won't RE6 it. Not with the success of the RE re-remake, which is what really sealed the deal for them. It's financially mandatory for them to NOT RE6 the thing.
Also, can I just say how happy I am that the next remake wasn't Resident Evil 0? I mean, good on them for doing something a little different, but ugh.
I just want a new Code: Veronica :)
Bring on the Goat Levels! All goat sounds, all the time.
That Mega Man Anniversary Collection sale... oh man.
I really wish RNG was more heavily involved in *real* sports. When you're at a really high level, the big games are often purely statistical as far as outcomes. Like, what if in football there were a mechanism in the ball which caused a fumble randomly twice a game? Or if soccer matches randomly added another ball to the field? Or if the hoop and backboard were raised and lowered on the basketball court, or you had a 20% chance to crit a slam dunk and score 5?
Hockey alre...
First of all, I read the article, and it's a bit shallow. Nintendo doesn't need saving. They had losses, sure, but they also have a stash of backup cash from the Wii. It'll take more than the WiiU to sink them.
The Wii was successful partially due to their great first-party games, and partially due to the discovery that kids had an affinity for silly minigames, which of course brought about an influx of me-too shovelware.
Nintendo's strategy d...
People are all "Only 65%?" I think you're underestimating just how much of the original Nomura game got cut out. Tabata's much more utilitarian - if he says they're on track now, they're on track. Which is good, because a mainstream Final Fantasy game hasn't been on-track in production since 10 (possibly 11).
Past that point, it was just a ton of managerial messes - 12 went through three directors, 13 moved from PS2 to a completely new engine o...
Wow. I didn't encounter the same game on PS4 at all. Co-op is especially frustrating due to the camera just giving up when characters are too far apart - and in a vertical game like this, it's common. At least they now have an option to turn the friendly fire off, because good lord. The designs, too - the tells are zilch on whether or not you're jumping into an instant-death pit or jumping down to where you need to go. The battle system's cool for fifteen minutes and then it...
Yes! Dat 60fps! This actually makes me want to buy the collection, and I wasn't that thrilled about Uncharted when 3 came along.
Glad to see the details on the update, it looks awesome!
To those of you who are on the fence because of Pro Controller support, that's not going to be pretty if it happens. There are some things you can only do by seeing the map and playing simultaneously, such as teleporting and assigning Inkstrikes. Placing the menu on a screen that isn't your TV is super important, too. If that stuff was done through a secondary menu, you'd be at a huge disadvantage. Try it o...
It looks like Helldivers. Snowdivers, maybe?
It's a good deal! I mean, any way to play Blast Corps is a good deal. Also, they should just make a new Blast Corps. What's with all this pirate crap?
You mean the scalper Amiibo market, right? There isn't much for other markets with their production and output.
I'm so hyped for Super Mario Maker, but Amiibo shortages have kept me from the enhancements in Splatoon, so I'm pretty salty about them.
Me too, honestly. I held out on buying it Early Access on Steam, and it looks nice. I'm more commenting that the race itself might not be so lopsided.
That's good news! While some of us in the US have been a little underwhelmed by home consoles given the state of PCs, worldwide sales are still looking great. I bet it helped that they increased the hype meter quite a bit for upcoming years at this E3. (Not so much 2015, but eh, still a great show.)
Here comes my Impact Bomb!!!
That's awesome news!
I get it too. It's a crazy, bloated world in the AAA games market these days. Considering I've got a job, I tend to play shorter and cheaper games - not that F2P bull, but good independent titles like Nuclear Throne, Zenzizenzic, etc.
Nintendo has *mostly* not jumped on that bandwagon either, which is refreshing, but the Amiibo scalper craze has made some of their locked content impossible to access. I mean, at least with that DLC scheme, you get something tangible ou...
