Hopefully they'll have a demo of Hellblade, too. That game looks great.
Witcher 3, man. That and the success of Bloodborne spreading via word of mouth.
Plus - E3 was when a ton of people started their Plus accounts after Instant Game Collection was announced. PS3 owners probably want to take advantage of a renewing Plus membership on the new console.
Of course it is, and if they released it on PC they would obviously increase sales. However, it wouldn't fund the creation of the game the way Sony did. It would be too risky a venture from the start. Sony, as exclusives usually go, "kickstarted" Bloodborne in a huge way, so that made more business sense. It wasn't From's loss, since so many PS4 gamers bought it.
Bayonetta 2, on the other hand... there's a wonderful game and an exclusive where the st...
Well, if it's not Chrono Something this year, it probably never will be...
Wait, that Italian translation just says "optional in-game purchases." That could simply be DLC as it's been done since Horse Armor in Oblivion. When I hear "microtransactions", I think of F2P pay-to-win or multiple currencies or stamina, like what Dragon Age Inquisition pulled on its online or what happened to poor Dungeon Keeper. Anyone in Italy know if this is just the language for microtransactions?
Eh. It's the first run of VR, which is going to be expensive across the board. At this price, I don't think Morpheus will be a broad consumer product for years, and I think Sony's okay with that. After all, the PC specs for the Vive are insane just to get that thing to run. It's basically running games at 2x1080p, not really meant for these systems, it's very experimental. Early Access, if you will.
We're just approaching the early-adopter phase for th...
I get the whole thing about incentives being weird, but the track record issue he brings up is valid. Far less people will preorder an Ubi game after that hideous launch of AC Unity, but then there's From Software. If you liked Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1 & 2, and Bloodborne, knowing Miyazaki is on board for DS3, why wouldn't you preorder it?
Every year I think "This is the year Microsoft will convince me to buy their system," and every year after E3 I'm pretty disappointed. I'm sure this will be a great year for X1, but I'll be very, very surprised if they sway someone like me to get one - someone who is ridiculously bored of standard shooters. It's the same reason I'm not a fan of Uncharted (but loved 2 due to the design and setting).
Well, okay, 10 times faster on a Mac, which isn't saying much because of past performance. It's something that should have happened about 10 *years* ago, but it's welcome. Playing Geometry Wars 3 on iPhone is just perfect, 60fps, due to Metal.
As someone playing this on PS4, I'm pretty glad about this. Framerate is still grossly underrated with devs who port their stuff to consoles - a victim of static screenshot comparisons, really. I'd rather have less freckles and scars on faces than Ocarina of Time-esque animation speeds.
And seriously, I know that you avoided getting this game because you heard about some bugs, people, but it's worth it. Awesome game. Imagine Red Dead Redemption with swords and a ...
Guys, it's the chuffing Miller Report, get used to it and watch!
Hey, I'm only getting FIFA if it includes the DLC where you assume the role of a corrupt official running from Swiss authorities bent on extradition to the US!
Man, I saw this last night and Dark Souls II was listed at around 30 bucks. Then errors happened when I tried to buy it. Turned out they screwed it up and applied the discount twice, then removed it, then put it back up at the original 20% off. Back at $47.
Oh, that'll be exploitative free-to-play. They're gonna run their games division the way they run their Pachinko division from now on.
Guys, guys! Stop the discussion of the "spoiler" and watch the video. Miller Report is a ridiculous British series on YouTube that came from an older series called Piss Morning, which was also ridiculous and featured spontaneous wrestling.
The news is that there's a new Miller Report out. He's chuffing hilarious.
It often picks up right near the end, though. If they add some extra boss-related or extra stage stretch goals, it'll surge by Day 30.
I'd love to see a "Flipped World" goal for a post-game inverted map with new enemies. You know, like that... other game...
And this is just the funding to prove to investors that people are interested. You can definitely add the investments on top of that, because holy crap, did he ever show them some interest. The whole campaign's quite brilliant, with achievements related to social metrics you'd present at a venture capital meeting. And it's out there for everyone to see at all times in a fun way.
Seriously. What an awful move on the part of their lawyers.
Atari's composed of quite a few weird spun-off moving parts, though. I wouldn't be surprised if anyone interested in making games in that company had nothing to do with the Minter fiasco. A little like how Bethesda's lawyers act ridiculously stupid and heavy-handed (Scrolls, for example), but you wouldn't see that attitude from a dev within the company.
Patrice Desilets basically left as Assassin's Creed was becoming the annualized mess that it is today. He was a risk-taker, while current Ubi runs from risks like they're on fire and infected with Ebola. Current Ubi is why Desilets left the company, and hopefully his work on a new ambitious game will pay off.
