Huh. Couple of definitions floating around, I guess.
I just started, and seeing all these special weapons and what you've gotta do really makes me want to continue!
First sentence: Yes!
Second sentence: Yes! ...wait, Zionists? That's a little specific. "Riccitello" and "Wilson" aren't necessarily names I'd associate with the Promised Land or whatnot.
Just being angry doesn't cut it. Ask the Irate Gamer about that one.
You are right that it's a persona, a "fake" of sorts, but it's tougher than you'd think to convey a persona over a regular series of edited videos addressing current events. Tough enough that there's probably quite a bit of actual Joe in Angry Joe for him to last this long. He's way, way better at jokes now than he used to be, at least. He's learning.
He...
Septic is right about Cambrand's shallowness when he responded. This DICE guy was just talking about "the truth" without giving a single detail. There's nothing that says that pricing isn't the way it is, and there's nothing that ensures the DLC will be worth the price. He needs to state actual examples.
For example: "As of now, our plans are to release expansions with 10 additional hours on average of single-player content and three new multipl...
As a single-player guy, I'm enjoying it a lot. Unlocking the lore through a sparsely-narrated campaign kinda hits that Dark Souls/Metroid sweet spot for me, but that's not for everyone. I couldn't care any less about PvP though, so I'm the wrong person to ask about that.
I went through the entire non-Taken King campaign, and while it was alright, the Taken King stuff takes it to another level. I mean, the Stormcaller class unlock was just amazing to me, proba...
Wait, Sega is making a game? Please don't be another f2p mobile one...
Nintendo's trying to go all-in on mid-cycle consoles lately. If they manage to do it right (read: Not the WiiU), you could see quite a few second-console buyers, along with casual and mobile game fans who have run away from the WiiU.
I think they had the right idea with the WiiU's timing as a market disruption last time instead of just being another option at the beginning of a new generation of consoles. Everything else was pretty much wrong at launch with that thing...
It makes sense - your tech specs are going to start out on PC and become a retail product once you have all your ducks in a row. Early test kits for consoles usually look like the most boring looking PCs around.
The unanswered question here is how much of this processing power is dedicated not to one game, but to a game on two screens - is the tech demo running two windows, meant to include the NX box and a separate processor on a completely portable NX controller? Or are th...
I think Iga will be able to get IntiCreates to do something great with a game. For me, Inti's previous games have been a little disappointing, with great systems and art styles, but a lack of enemy variety, lackluster level design, and not much to be had for secrets and unlockables.
Iga's strengths are basically all of the above, and he brings those to the table as a Director. I hope they can bring this to life in a much better way that what we saw with Mighty No. 9. ...
That's definitely true. It's a well-done 30. I prefer 60 (probably because I'm a NES-generation guy) but there's no denying that it's the best 30 you can get.
Driveclub's pretty great now! Just like with Destiny, I was happy to pick it up almost a year after release, so I didn't go through the initial disappointment and loved what they did with the game after that.
I would have loved for it to be 60fps, as that's where I usually like driving games to be, but eh, they went for detail and they sure did succeed on that front.
DmC was alright. The dialogue was cute, the art style was pretty interesting (if repetitive in the enemy design sometimes), and you can't beat that Fox News boss battle.
The mechanics, though - they just didn't fill the void left over from a lack of DMC - those fast-twitch mechanics in a crazy 60fps game without all the time-freezing Platinum allows for. It was sorely needed and it didn't happen, and I knew this as soon as Ninja Theory was mentioned for the reboot...
Capcom is not going to contract this out to Ninja Theory, they're busy making Hellblade anyway.
I hope they're building a team of young developers in Japan to make a good successor to DMC3. If they're successful at making a great single-player experience and it sells, we might see a resurgence of the Clover titles later on too, as Capcom would have the capacity to do so. Or, heck, a new take on Mega Man.
They might contract Platinum, but they&...
Isn't the Jim Sterling term "Fee 2 Pay" instead of "Fee 2 Play?" Like, you bought a game for a fee in order to pay for microtransactions later?
Whether it's possible to retrofit to optimize framerate or not, I agree - while I like Witcher III just fine, the low framerate sometimes keeps me from coming back to the game.
I mean, yes, LoZ Ocarina of Time on the N64 was lower than that, but that was a very "of its time" issue to have that we overlooked because it was so cool. Nowadays, a 3D game really shouldn't be constantly below 30.
Did you guys even watch the video? He's just on there talking with Stephen mostly about Swedish curse words, which the censors had to surprisingly bleep out anyway, it was great!
Let's call this for what it is - this is not a YouTuber defending Let's Play videos. This is a comedy show with an older audience than Fallon trying to identify with younger people and get them on board, especially *on* YouTube and *off* of cable, where Colbert's bits are posted after...
I get that they'll wind up with more subscribers for doing somewhat vaguely sexy stuff, but it doesn't seem sustainable on Twitch. You can't retain even an audience of pervs on looks alone - at some point, the non-stalker crowd will get bored, and they have other choices for gamers and much more... um, detailed... options for porn.
In a way, I'd expect the market to mostly push those types of streamers out to the margins. Who are the most popular streamers o...
I get it, but he's out there trying to garner some good will among the press. It's in the company's best interest to present what would be in the shareholders' best interest to know. The big companies live and die on the stock market by news and reports.
Plus, from what I understand, he's much more of a leader and hands-off manager when it comes to the minutiae of a game's development, leaving that to the team. I don't think the game slows down pro...
I'm interested. It really seems like they're trying to do something new with Tetris concepts. We'll see if it holds up...
