I agree that the Resolution Wars got out of hand and really pushed people to focus on pixel counts instead of movement. Really wish the console versions had a way to downtune the effects and resolution in favor of a smoother framerate, that would be my choice immediately.
Okay, I've held out on hype for this game for quite a while, but the hype cannot be contained now.
Can't help but notice a lack of Boston accents, though!
Playing that when it first came out on the PS3 was a revelation. It was so good! And that soundtrack!!
And then the second game came out on PSP only, and really shot down the series' expectations with tired tropes and pandering that only Japanese audiences would really get.
Hopefully Sega has learned its lessons about devaluing its franchises and will make this a good one! (Please don't let it be a F2P mobile game...)
I'm pretty sure they just got trolled...
Sounds like the Gordon Freeman Coast to Coast prank:

Firsthand I've noticed this, too, and it's not always the most current console. I've seen far more women who are friends of mine actually *keep* their old consoles or buy an old console used than men do. Perhaps we have more of a penchant to sell them off instead of organize them and preserve.
The two women I know with a Commodore 64 and the voice expansion are two more women that I know than the men who own those still, lol.
@UkrainianWarrior
lol, "Ride Racer"
Absolutely true. It's just great when a sliver of information comes out like this and I can envision Ryu taking on a stationary, oscillating air-thrower.
Fan... just Fan??
Guile, Alex, Urien, Juri, Ibuki, Balrog, and Fan.
Ryu, Ken, Zangief, Blanka, Chun Li, and Backpack.
Hakan, Hugo, Gill, Seth, M. Bison, Vega, and Microwave.
This sounds like Miyazaki is calmly stating his design philosophy to people who are asking about how hard Dark Souls III is. All of those games are difficult but beatable, so long as you observe what your enemies do and plan your attacks accordingly. It seems like this is an indication that the difficulty will be about the same as, say, the original Dark Souls, but with new mechanics.
A lot of us single-player focused folks aren't keen on having to wait for servers to do their thing in order to do something that only requires our system's computing power and nothing else.
I mean, Sim City was a disaster no matter what, but one of the biggest disasters was how no one could play it for weeks due to EA's servers not being up to spec. I can guarantee at least 80% of those players weren't the least bit hyped about anything online in that game. ...
I'm on the fence. I love racing games, I'm more of an arcade guy, and while Driveclub does quite a few things (in quite a few different locations) and does them very well, I have to weigh just playing more Driveclub with taking a chance on NFS as a second option.
The way they mitigate draw distance at night by keeping the lights visible from far away is super-nice. The driving looks wonderful if you're into arcade racing and you're sour that Ridge Racer hasn...
Oh yes. Please bring back King's Field!!!
Huh! Well, it's not a mindblowing reference, but the game looks great. I'm looking forward to another real Ratchet and Clank, after so many hideous spinoffs.
People in places that don't have the infrastructure for online multiplayer, for one. If someone's stationed at a military base, split-screen can sometimes be the only option. However, since this is so focused on multiplayer this time with a small campaign (CoD style, really), this doesn't seem like a good local-only player purchase at all.
If you've got a good connection and like Halo online, then you're right in their audience and that's fine. (Joe ha...
Yeah, I've heard that original Destiny players were left behind when TTK came out, that really does stink.
On the other hand, my experience (which included waiting an entire year before playing Destiny, which is ludicrous, I know) has been pretty great! I can see where people were really angry at that first ending - it was awful!
But playing that and then moving to the Taken King, getting my character to basically become a Sith Lord and chain-lightning ...
It is really cool that they'll release those maps for free. I wish they had those ready in the first place, but deadlines are deadlines.
The Joe review has a heavy focus on the microtransaction aspect of the game, and the more I saw of it, the more I couldn't stand the requisition system. Games used to encourage you to keep playing and play well, with attainable cosmetic unlocks that were included in the base game. Unlocks were great!
These "unlocks, but not really because it's ridiculous, so buy our packs" systems are killing the single-player reasons to play other modes like multiplayer - ...
I get it, and I get the Destiny comparisons, but hasn't he played Destiny this year? It's way better. Granted, he bought Destiny originally, so he'd have spent quite a bit of money to get the stuff I got for sixty bucks last month.
Finally! Driveclub really needed that difficulty option. I still have yet to figure out how the AI is working on those upper-level races, while the solo trials and challenges have been great.
I mean, it is entirely possible that I just really stink at Driveclub, but I've put quite a few hours into it by now, and yeah...
wait, Mario Sunshine HD?? Haven't heard that one.
