Knights in the Nightmare is on sale! If you have a Vita, and you like some complexity, that's a wonderful game.
I might pick up the RE Re-remake myself. That was a great original remake on the Gamecube.
Aha! Okay, thank you for the advice.
Does it affect the non-encrypted drops, though?
Cool with this. Hopefully Andromeda is that sci-fi TV series-style narrative I've been hoping for since 2 came out. They're so good at writing short stories revolving around different characters - making these into "episodes," but as part of a full retail package, like a season box set, would be great. Like binge-playing Netflix.
I mean, they're not that great at those larger plot arcs over there at Bioware these days anyway *cough3cough*, might as well ...
No, I think @Eonjay is correct here. The trailers do not have to illustrate the plot, and misdirection can happen. MGS2 did that to stunning effect and upset quite a few people in the process, but in hindsight, what an interesting move!
Now, if only Halo 5's campaign had a substantial story to fit the misdirection. That's the big difference between it and MGS2's misdirection - it was important and thematic in MGS2. No matter how wacky that story got, it was still ...
The headline's pretty ludicrous, because he lists three things, not one: Space, sound design, and stellar visuals. I agree about the sound design - great in both, for sure, but none of these are that unique to just these games! Plus, Mario's location hardly matters and is more there to justify the varied gameplay and environments - except in Sunshine, the setting did matter there and it was less varied as a result.
I'd sooner parallel Destiny with Metroid, where u...
Urien! My second-favorite 3rd Strike character! Nice.
It's been fun in there! There are quite a few Thriller dance parties going on. I bought a pack with Silver, got a 2nd one for free, and then got... well, two Eris masks, so huh.
I do wish the masks were just a visual mod on your current helmet, though, as they have zero defense and lower your light level, which of course lowers the light of your drops and engrams. People on Strikes have largely kept their helmets.
Huh! Interesting stuff... I wonder how much of that is due to previously-existing work in MCC going into 5?
@garrettbobbyferguson
That's really illustrative of the problem, I think. In a way, it's a bit like what happened to Metroid. The old sci-fi designs were sparse and if you weren't into being alone in space, Metroid and Super Metroid weren't going to be your thing, but the art style, the atmosphere, the sound design - they all drew you in anyway, because it was just so good.
But as Fusion (which is still good!) and Prime 2 & 3 came around, ...
I kinda get it, as the past three years have been the Year of the Bow and it's getting a little old. Still, I trust these guys to make it interesting. Even that E3 reveal showed quite a few promising ways to attack that aren't just "hit something with an arrow," so it should be fine.
If you like your reviews to be as straightforward as possible, you'll want to see what else in the genre the reviewer is comparing the game to when evaluating where it stands. Halo is most definitely Destiny's predecessor as a franchise, and making the comparison clear is crucial for gamers who have already played Destiny.
After all, writing about games is a weird business. These types of games are all about movement, precision, the rulesets, map design, etc. It's...
I'll say it before and I'll say it again: It was so nice to wait a year to buy this game, with all the content, for the original price of the game. Maybe that's bad business for Activision, but unless you're ready to pay the big bucks for being current on Destiny, wait a year after each iteration's release. Granted, the lessons they've learned from vanilla Destiny should make the updates a lot less crucial in the future.
Definitely agree that screenshots aren't looking great. It's to be expected in a way, because of course you're sacrificing graphical detail for smoother animations at 60fps.
While I'm not a fan of Halo, and this talk about the single-player campaign lacking a good story doesn't make me want to get an Xbone any time soon, the push for 60fps is something I can get behind. In any reaction-based game, such as a shooter, a racer, or an action platformer like DM...
Ooh! Looks like a mashup of Valkyrie Profile and Spike's art style! Interesting!
The contestant was so happy to respond, too, you can tell he plays!
Their strength for years - from the Gamecube era with the GBA SP until now - has been handheld systems. They've been more profitable, bigger sellers, and so well-constructed.
If they can eliminate the issue of having to develop games for two completely different systems and have a handheld/console hybrid going, there's nothing stopping them from holding the NX up by themselves, and if it's good enough, the user base will make third-parties make games FOR the syste...
I forgot THPS5 was still considered a game. That's two points too many, Edge!
That 60fps gameplay looks so great so far. I'm not a fan of the art style and I'm an art kind of guy, so I'm sticking with Destiny here, but 343's making a good statement. How a game *moves* is important!
Kinda like Driveclub, I waited out Destiny for a year and jumped in when the improvements were made, and they're both great now.
Repetition, though... yeah. I hardly ever play shooters but this one interested me, so it's nice to have a Bungie shooter to bring me back in, as the action feels great. Can't deny that anyone familiar with many FPS's will probably tire of the old left-trigger-right-trigger after a while without many setpieces in the original game. ...
This article is kinda an advertisement for their site, but in general it depends on what you're looking for.
For example, brick and mortar stores might sell some really cheap TVs on Black Friday, but they're hardly ever ones you'd want to have like two years after the fact. Meanwhile the good stuff's hardly on sale at all. But if you wait until January or February, where new models are coming out and retailers are trying to offload their post-Black Friday stoc...
