I think it was the most disappointing for sure. There was, as the author says, a lot of political intrigue and interesting characters... at first. By the ending to the actual story, you could tell they severely cut content and phoned in the final area and boss from out of nowhere.
Was it the "worst," though? No way. I love the battle system in Final Fantasy X-2, but it had a hideous story overall. Plus, the early NES games were low-budget, low-key affairs that could...
Don't we all...
Like the rest of Driveclub, it skirts the line between being a full-on arcade racer and a simulation. The bikes sure do handle differently, with extremely quick acceleration and different turning dynamics, but when it comes to collisions with other bikes, it's not the fall-down-fest it would be had it been more realistic.
This looks deliberate for a couple reasons - first, they don't have to deal with troubleshooting ragdoll physics every time one bike hits another, w...
The headline looks a little scary, but I wouldn't jump too soon to the conclusion that EA's extra content sells more than full *games.* Just the digital sales of their full games. EA is talking all digital sales, meaning nearly all extra purchases and DLC are included here, but physical retail games aren't included at all.
Remember, it wasn't that long ago that NPD didn't even count digital game sales. They're still the realm of those of us who are luc...
Settlements where you go on small quests and gather resources to sustain your people, eh... so basically Mother Base, then.
I completely agree, @GotHDGame.
It does remind me quite a bit of the Dreamcast. There's a limited selection of titles on both, and with only a couple of exceptions (Soul Calibur on DC - but remember, Smash was a NamcoBandai joint too) the best of those titles were first-party games that put the system's functionality to good use.
I don't know why something being a colossal sales failure means anything necessarily bad for gamers. The PC Engine/TG16...
A game based on that movie would be pretty freaking awesome. Maybe with the Until Dawn team behind it.
It's better than the sequel, Bound Pt. 2!
In that, you just drive Kanye West's motorcycle in a straight line with a Kardashian on top of you. The concept is intriguing, but it proves to be only slightly better than Penn and Teller's Desert Bus in action. Also, Desert Bus has a better soundtrack in that it doesn't have a soundtrack at all.
It's like a puzzle-combat version of something like Diablo or Gauntlet, more action-focused but complex in its own silly ways. The game also has a great sense of humor.
It's a critique of the hype, really - "oh it wasn't 'that' scary or original, not in the monolithic way that fans say it is!"
That's kinda not the point. PT wasn't only known for its scares, and those will vary per gamer - it was also known for its visuals. Back when this came out, quite a few of us were still looking for what these "next-gen" or now "current-gen" consoles could actually do. No one had really maximized the...
Dirt 3's great, it has a lot more urban environments and a Gymkhana feature to it. Probably best on PC since you can upscale it, but it's still good.
Also, that's the first Honda vehicle in Driveclub. I'm sorely missing their cars!
Off the top of my head... BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha... No cruisers or choppers on there, they're all various forms of superbikes.
It's good to know that single-player content will probably be in here along with what we've seen in the arcade version, considering they've got the story up and running!
Man, I wish they would give a release date. How troll-ish is it to list the first six Tekken games with a year on them, and Tekken 7 can't even say 2016?
Yes, they are, but look at the release schedule and the very short-sighted E3 conference - it's a transition year to a new handheld and a new console even though they can't say it up front, and that handheld and console are probably the same thing.
It's not like people are suddenly not buying Nintendo systems *because* of a new incoming console, but it has some effects on sales. Some games are suddenly blinking out of existence - first there was a new WiiU Zelda, ...
Yes, and I'm just so glad they're finally letting Michel Ancel do *an* original game at all. It'll play really well because he's helming production.
I started playing this last night, and yes, it's steep! The bikes just blast the heck off from the start, which is to be expected, because bikes.
Surprisingly, a lot of what makes a Bikes race/trial successful is just knowing the same kind of racing line you need to know about a course when you're in a car. The need for that line is just much more exaggerated. Running practice time trials on the courses can help, but I'm still one-starring a lot of these early mis...
He looks significantly better! Maybe he'll be viable at tournaments...
Please be 60fps, please be 60fps...
I love me some Driveclub, and it looks beautiful, but racing games really need that animation speed and smoothness.
I really do hope they add some Honda cars, especially their new Civic Type-R, because they just added their first Honda vehicle in bike form.
