Windows 7 is da shizzle, nothing to complain about, and people aren't asking for more features.
But I see your point. PC users wouldn't say they hate Windows Updates because they haven't included USB 3.0 support.
Well, if USB 3.0 become standard I guess they would. And MS would provide it.
If instead of attaching his dissatisfaction to firmware updates, he just left it at I'm not happy PS+ doesn't upgrade the PSN Infrastructure to offer all the features XBL offers, which I would be more than willing to pay $50/yr for. Just as many, many others have voices.
Choosing to somehow associate that with the firmware updates, and blame them for not adding the features he wants, was not smart.
Clearly, creating an online infrastructure like XBL i...
>>Resident Evil 5 was destroyed by two factors: xbox and online co-op.<<
Out of curiosity, how did that destroy it as opposed to poor controls and questionable script?
I hated RE5, until I got the hang of the controls. They could still be improved but once you get the hang of them the game is quite good. Yes, it's action, but that's what I liked. It was a good episode.
I disagree about the co-op. I though it was one of the best co-op implementations to date.
I actually like the Lost in Nightmares DLC quite a bit as well. Would love to see an HD remake of R1 for PS3.
It's not easy evolving a Zom...
The wait will be long!
For now, you're correct if you're on Gig. 10/100, Most won't miss the wire with N.
I am completely wireless. Thanks to a dual band wireless, my printer that is G and PS3 do not interfere with the N devices (PC and iMac).
you are correct, and 54Mb is the "max" burst rate. Wireless-G on a Wirless-N band will also slow down all wireless connections.
Epson has just released a $99 printer with wireless-N and others will follow. Anyone who buys a non-N router is a fool. I've been on N for over a year.
Want to see an end to Netflix downgrading video quality during playback? Move to 802.11n. The proof is in the performance, not the theoretical max specs.
Do you think say, parents, would rather have a free play online service with no control or monitoring, or pay for XBL with total control and monitoring through email. You can control chat, friend adds, etc. You'll get an email asking you to approve a kids friend add. You can control how much time is spent online. There are many things in XBL worth paying for and I'd like to see in PSN.
You mean like XBL has?
Hopefully it'll be more than a marketing cameo. Ice-T is dashizt. Gears 3 will sell a lot of Xboxes.
He's taking temps to respond in threads about the matter, as he indicated in his post. These threads are mostly PS3 users spreading FUD. Most of whom do not have nor have they ever had an XBox.
Fall 2011 Xbox with integrated Kinect. 2012, new Xbox. That sounds feasible.
Depends. If PS3 developers exploit the extra storage capacity afforded by Blu-ray to make Xbox versions of multiplats look dated, they will have to do something sooner. I don't know that that will happen, and I don't know if the new XBox can use an external BD to play games.
Tell me again why so much time is given to farting? I wish they had chosen a darker more hardcore approach to Fable.
maybe this is why Duels of the planeswalkers is taking so long.
["The chick runs and jumps through the level, but needs to be carried through the mine feild? Just looks so cheesy."...eh because she can't see the mines, the imagery from the mech dragonfly is uploaded to Monkeys headband.]
Oh my. Well, it looks good.
They'd better have good pacing. The story driven pacing of Uncharted 2 kept the exploration sequences from becoming boring or too long and they were a part of the story. Hopefully the writing is getting as much attention as the graphics.
The road is getting long. 3D has been around a long time and hasn't taken off. The glasses are the primary problem. Keep in mind, Virtual Reality failed as well. For gaming, it's the control. Controls are 2D. 3D controls are expensive and cumbersome. The road will remain long except for movies. The glasses will keep 3D for movies somewhat limited. People who wear glasses have to wear contacts is another issue.
I actually thought the graphics on the PS3 were pretty dang good. Not Uncharted 2, but I haven't seen Uncharted 2 graphics in a game with as many moving objects and particles on the screen. I'd like to see Gears of War hordes with Uncharted 2 quality. Haven't seen it yet. Maybe Gears 3.
The script is bad because the script is bad. I actually though the Co-Op AI in single player was the best I've seen.
It's one of the better PS3 games I'...
