The demo is on an XBox. It's not going to look as good as Uncharted 2.
Brings back memories. I don't even think they make those anymore. Can't believe he didn't plug it directly into the wall. He has other things plugged into that ancient strip turned on as well.
That's all nice and all. But don't forget, PS3 had the PlayStation brand behind it. The price drop is the biggest thing IMO.
The games are great too. But nothing trumps price. Just ask Nintendo.
I'm with you on that one. The title drew me in but this is a silly article that just gives more attention to the Xbox slim. In marketing, bad attention is better than no attention. Clearly, the Xbox Slim will be a big success for Microsoft.
Kiss any dreams of Blu-ray for Xbox goodbye unless it's external. They have absolutely no incentive to do anything to the Xbox at the moment.
The rates are maximum burst rates. The real world daily throughput is closer to 60%. You will see better performance with N. Especially if you are streaming HD or do a lot of audio/video chat and you will see huge improvements when streaming from a media server or local PC such as a media center extender.
Not to mention better performance through walls and at greater distances.
edit: 802.11n will be great when Sony hooks the PS3 up with it. That's the way...
Agreed. Especially since there's no functional difference between PS3 slim and fat. Both have Blu-ray and HD Audio Xbox does not.
Xbox beats both on rear USB ports and Wifi.
A lot of people love the GT series. I'm not one.
I'm loving Burnout Paradise (on PS3) and eagerly awaiting Codemaster's F1 2010. Hopefully it won't be ruined by being too much of a simulator.
If I want a simulator, I'll just drive my own car. I like racing games.
Don't blame Capcom, at least they showed early support for Move. Do you really think Uncharted 2 will do a whole lot better?
I really don't think shooters lend themselves well to motion control. Maybe a House of the dead type shooter. But the repetitive aiming, shooting, camera movement ...
WOW. I had issues with the controls but I though the play and story were fine. I though the graphics were great too. Not the best, but very very good. The single player AI was excellent and online with co-op, it was one of the best designed co-op shooters I've played. Even better than Gears 1.
Loved the trophy for thanking your partner for help and complimenting head shots.
I got the hang of the controls after a while. They're OK. But yeah, this game is not suited for Move. I really don't think any shooter will be. Just too much fast twitch movement for too long.
They're probably telling the truth. This is common in CPU production. The yields per wafer with the last SPU were probably too low to be economically feasible so they just disabled it.
Only if Sony exploits Blu-ray for games. With 802.11n and a richer netflix experience, ESPN, Zune Market, I don't think Blu-ray for movies is an advantage anymore. Especially with dedicated players going for $89. One of the biggest selling points for BD players now is having Netflix.
But if Sony can help/encourage developers to exploit the storage space for gaming then it will hurt MS. Otherwise, MS actually has the upperhand with built-in 802.11n. I don't think peopl...
I don't think anyone playing those games care about Kinect. Just like I have no interest whatsoever in using Move for Resident Evil.
No one is even considering the fatigue factor when playing repetitive fast twitch FPS and 3PSs. 2-3hr sessions with your arm up pointing and rotating. I'd rather lift weights.
I'm considering buying an Xbox Slim. Have no desire or need for a 3DS. Don't really want two consoles again. Gonna try to hold out till August hopefully Magic will make it to PSN by then along with Alien Breed: Impact. Can live without Alien Breed, but I gotta have my Magic. I miss XBL too. Netflix is so much easier and I'm diggin' the ESPN deal. I do OTA HDTV and the only thing I miss from cable is ESPN.
I guess you don't know that MS has been assisting in CPU development for years. Not only for their Xbox but PC CPUs as well.
edit: That doesn't mean Kinect won't suck. But to say MS cannot design hardware is not true. RROD was known to them and they made a calculated risk to beat Sony to market. It seems to have worked for them but they will have a hard time living it down.
>>cross game chat is cool if ya gotta talk bout something before ya do it, but if u even ever used it u know on live u cant do X-game chat at the same time while playing an online game so its only use is for single play games so wtf r u so shocked about? <<
That is generally incorrect. I think you can't private or party chat in Halo, but in most games you can.
edit:

3D in gaming will meet the same end as Virtual Reality on computers. The second coming until people realize there's really extremely limited use.
VR has show the human depth controls that aren't cumbersome just aren't there. We'll see.
I think it will do well with movies. Games, as long as glasses are needed and until there are easy to use depth controllers, I don't know. Just not ready yet.
Not too many people realize Ice Cube (Friday, Barbershop) was the lead writer, with EZ-E from NWA. And of course, Dr. Dre. Ice Cube gave up the hardcore and has been continuously successful.
The one's who remained hardcore have had hardcore tragedy (dre's son OD'd, EZ - Aids.)
Respect him for turning it around. Besides, most successful rappers, gansta or not are just acting anyway. He's been on SVU for like 9 years.
He walked back Cop Killa' when it became too controversial and is well respected in the industry. One of my favorite SVUs is an ICE-T solo where he's looking for a lady's grandkid who's kidnapped by a meth head daddy.
Nothin' to respect about ganstas and drug dealers except their extermination. I...
I loved Heavenly Sword and would love to see it republished with Trophy Support and performance enhancements. Not sure what I think of this game based on the video.
Looks good enough, but seems kind of boring. Not much going on other than 2 characters running around. It's early though.
