3) If it was successful, MS would have been competing with themselves and all their Smartphone developing partners who they need to develop Windows Phone 7 devices.
Microsoft has the patent, but I think someone else is showing a dual-screen tablet, can't remember the hardware vendor.
Besides, MS doesn't like making computers other than the XBox, they do design and OS' and let IHVs license. Peripherals yes, the box, no.

You guys don't understand Microsoft. Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft's real product. KIN was just a really expensive focus test. Believe that. Must be nice to have soo much cash. It's like playing poker as the chip lead. The game is much easier with the big stack.
