The forums are a very busy place but that doesn't always translate into the retail end of things. Sure Sony has learned from some of the missteps of the PS3 and can try and fix them on the PS4 but nothing is guaranteed to make a success story. We got the same articles about the Vita and the same comments from Sony. Then they came out with the Vita, the price was actually better than expected and the thing didn't capture a wide audience. In fact sales are more sluggish than the PSP was...

First off you didn't address what Sony said about the lack of support from 3rd party publishers which is a sign to be worried about. Second of all you didn't give a list of upcoming games with actual release dates which doesn't address immediate concerns. One game I am looking forward to is Tearaway but is there even a actual release date for that game? Third and lastly is how are you able to edit your posts at such a later time because I only get a 15 minute window?

They would all like to do that eventually. If you value your account you would think twice about compromising it.

Hicken all I'm saying is these articles shouldn't bother you too much and if they do then it's quite easy to ignore them. I do agree, they get tiresome, we've seen about 2,000 articles on how Vita can do better by... or the Vita is doomed because...

We're starting to see it already for the Wii U. It's sad that negativity sells and draws more attention than it deserves but that's the nature of the beast. The Vita is the best handheld device ever mad...

You mean competitor, not plural. Currently I think only Live charges a fee for basic online play. I don't see Sony abandoning that. What I do see is Sony further enhancing the reason gamers will want to pay with things like Plus. Gaikai could also be a game service that comes with a subscription based model and also a rental service.

"but the software support is superb."

Define superb?

I don't see a hell of a lot of games. Do you have upcoming games with actual release dates?

I want Vita to succeed just as much as the next guy but to say software support...

LOGICWINS gets it, ignore the flamebait articles and they will fade away. Personally I don't care either way because negative ads and negative topics don't reflect on how much I enjoy the devices. The again I don't wear my emotions on my sleeve and get upset and act like videogames are all I have in my life.

This will be key for Sony and turning profits quickly, by putting their library on as many devices as possible and perhaps charging a premium model.

Agreed. It will match my George Foreman PS3 Grill.

The last concept might be the next Xbox if they stick with DVD.

No price and only a tentative date. Microsoft will also not have a comment right away. They would be wise not to. Same with Nintendo.

I personally believe we will see some sort of premium paid model linked with Gaikai that will allow streaming of games and perhaps even a rental service. I think it will also have features that outshine Xbox Live. One cool feature Onlive has is spectator mode. Maybe a whole redesign of the Plus model. Playstation Home could also have major chan...

"Seriously if people stood up to MS about it then Sony wouldn't probably be forced to do it."

Nobody is forcing Sony, let alone Microsoft. So let's stop wearing tinfoil hats shall we? Does Nintendo charge for the Wii U? Does Steam? Funny how people are so quick to blame Microsoft for any issue Sony faces. I don't recall Microsoft holding a gun to Sony and forcing them to charge consumers $600 for a game console.

Sony will keep the core o...

"you don't even know how many main MGS titles are out lol"

Typical response, no real direct rebuttal because you know once again you're stretching. This game is not meant to be the next chapter in the series. 8.5 is a very decent score, no matter how much you want to spin things.

Zefros,

You are 100% correct. This isn't Metal Gear Solid 6.

If GT6 is a launch title for the PS4 it's an instant buy for me.

It's easy to ignore but hot damn, some of them sure are persistent. In fact many probably have multiple accounts.

When I host games online everyone has fun. We don't put up with idiots or those who kill their own teammates.

Again, that isn't very relevant. Insomniac is also going multiplat, that too doesn't mean much for the PS4's vision does it?

The PS2 had all the support they could handle so it's not like Sony didn't have the support needed to make a system with good vision based on developer support before. This article is based on competing in todays times and how gaming has changed and how the PS4 fits into that.

People thought the Xbox 360 was going to flop like the original, now 7+ years later they are still selling it and over 75 million people bought one.

Everything and anything is still up for grabs. They certainly changed online gaming back in 2002. Kinect had a bit of success and began to fizzle. So who knows what's in store. I will be watching closely just like I have been with the Wii U and will be for the PS4. I play games to have fun, not to choose sides and rally behin...

If we get a trend of sales like we seen in January then maybe. I think a lot of customers are like me, waiting to see what Sony and Microsoft offer. The casuals who literally ran to buy a Wii and counted calories along the way probably aren't returning for the Wii U. It took Nintendo a long time just to market the Wii U to the public of what it does. That right there goes against the grain of the original Wii which was easy to pick up and play and offer fun for the whole family.

If it isn't called the PS4 it could be because of two reasons.

1. Sony wants to change it's look and with Sony not doing very well the last few years as a company this could be a perfect product with the new president. A new vision so to speak.

2. They are just that superstitious and far too Japanese for their own good.
