Awesome, thank you.
Good thinking on Sony to release the next Gran Tursimo later, maybe for the following year. That and The Last Guardian in 2014 would be a smart play. Maybe we will get Hot Shots Golf on launch too.
Did they confirm those games on launch?
Well since we have no idea on pricing how do we know if it will be worth it or not? All signs point to a great system but we don't even know the full details or what games will be available when it launches.
Microsoft does indeed have a lot of convincing to do but just like when I watched the PS4 event I had no bias going into it. I will also hold no bias against the next Xbox.
You see, when you sit back and have preconceived notions and make it that much harder for them to convince you then chances are you won't give them a fair chance to win you over.
I have no loyalty to any of them. I also went into the Wii U with no bias even though the Wii didn't in...
See, the difference is you are quite happy with just having a PS3. It offers you enough enjoyment. When people pick sides they often need to try and reassure themselves and others why they chose what they chose and often put down the competition in the process. This is what leads to all of this console wars nonsense like a bunch of children arguing over nothing.
"a whole 32MB of awesome possibilities I bet."
It did make a difference and you could tell by how the PS3 lacked cross game chat.

I for one am pleased they are coming out with a whopping 8GB of RAM. That is unheard of for a game console. Plus it's GDDR5 not 3 which the Wii U uses and only has 2GB of it...
It's because Sony finally caved in and realized making proprietary hardware isn't always the best route to go. Now they have something much easier and actually listened to game developers of what they wanted.
Multiplats will now not be the underdog on the Playstation platform and with Gaikai they will now be in the drivers seat for online.
Exclusives always differentiate themselves from the others.
I agree that Sony finally released a system that will bring no more excuses to developers and no more gimped versions as you said. They are now coming out with a more PC architecture with great specs. I don't think the difference in type of RAM will matter much.
Sony is really pushing hard now with Gaikai which will go toe to toe with Xbox Live and probably surpass it in many areas. Plus if Sony ...
Why bother commenting if you have nothing to add or refuse to refute the article. When people first saw Vita they were excited as well and yet here we are with lower than expected sales. Obviously the regular consumer still doesn't see it as a must have device. From all accounts everything I saw for the PS4 has me excited but we still don't know the price, the launch games or how online will be.
People can still be overly cautious about the PS4 and pose good arguments...
The first comment brought some good points. With that said Microsoft can still top the PS4 no matter how many doubters disagree. I personally don't think they will but I'm not ruling it out.
You don't have to choose sides but if the next Xbox has all the same games and very few exclusives people actually care about Microsoft may start to see less interest coming their way. Especially if they don't show real value in Xbox Live because we all know they won't drop the fee for simple online gaming.
The PS4 looks very good and they are very serious about online going forward.
Good one, "A" game. Bubbles up.
I have to agree, Sony brought out their A game. Plus for them (Major Nelson) to make a questionable comment about not actually showing the system is irrelevant. They showed actual games, they mentioned real specs. The Xbox 360 is going on 8 years now and they haven't shown anything other than how well they do for sales in the US.
I
Looks like they managed to create a fun game, I'll have to try it out.
"Kawano: At the moment it’s not possible to play packaged software on the PS4."
It will be through Gaikai instead.
"As a concept, we are thinking of that – but we have to investigate that more thoroughly. It is an important part of our strategy. Besides, Gaikai has joined the company…"
I expect PLus and Gaikai to be that strategy moving forward. It's about getting returns and this is likely a premium service.
...
True. Sony needs to build some momentum and I thought the PS4 livestream was really well done and quite a surprise for revealing so much prior to E3.
Sounds to me like the guy lives in a glass house. Is he trying to convince us he enjoys being an owner of a Sony console or himself?
Well definitely see more of this game in the near future. It looks too promising to cancel it.
"Given that the next Xbox will supposedly launch at 8GB, it only seems right that Sony also sticks in a full 8GB of GDDR 5 RAM. Impressive, but it seems like massive overkill to me, so I’ll recommend 8GB of DDR3 RAM."
Why have a comparison if you're not going to do a proper comparison? Who cares if it's overkill, some people have over 16GB of RAM on their PC.
You're right, they should treat their most loyal territory the best.
I didn't even finish Crackdown 2 but spent hours and hours looking for all the orbs in the first game. It was so addicting but the second one was missing something.
Why do you put so much effort into what other sites or people have to say you don't agree with? If you like the PS4 then like what you see instead of worrying about the rest of the world sharing your optimism. I for one love what I saw for the PS4 but if other people don't oh well, doesn't bother me.
We don't even know if Gaikai will come at an additional cost and be a premium service. You see, Sony has spoiled us ever since the PS2 came out and marketed the h...
