cyguration,

You need to be connected to Steam to buy the game and verify through Steams service. If you buy a product outside of Steam you have to put in a code. This is a far more likely scenario with the new Xbox rather than always having to be connected just to play.

Why would the same people who read these rumors not read the hard facts when it does come eventually? There will be plenty of time to get the truth out before people make their purchases.

Dance Central is better with Kinect because it gives a different type of experience that something the Wii or the Move cannot. Do we see dance games on the Wii or PS3 that do the same tasks in the same manner? No we don't. What those systems do is track the controller, not you while replicating your dancing. Also both Forza and Gran Turismo add a greater sense of realism by tracking head movements. So this can add more immersion to the gameplay.

I never understood why peo...

Then why continue commenting in topics about products you don't have any interest in buying?

What role is that? You know what's amazing, how often the gaming community on forums differ from the mainstream public. How many here bash Live fees (myself included)? Yet they seem to be doing ok in that area aren't they? How many here bashes Diablo III and it's online connections having to be enabled? Didn't that game sell over 13 million copies? How many people here have their PS3's, Xbox 360's and Wii U's connected online all the time? How many here use Steam a...

The RRoD issue didn't really come out and be widely known until after the system launched. The system never did sell all that well in the beginning. Some games did help a bit like DOA, Ninja Gaiden, Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. They tried to offer some games that cater to that market but they knew Nintendo and Sony would offer more games for them in the end.

There is more if a case of domestic influence than what we see anywhere else. Why is Japan so much different than ...

Why waste time on last gen. hardware if you are trying to make a next gen. title of this magnitude? If some outside party wants to give it a shot let them scale it down but their (the developer) focus should remain on their vision.

Sony needs to innovate as well and I believe they will. One of the jobs of anyone who releases a platform is to lead the charge and show what it has to offer. Sony knows the PS3 had a negative image in the beginning due to its high price. I don't think they will make the same mistake. A game console needs to also be affordable, otherwise you might as well build a PC.

Sony also knows they have to attract the mainstream public and that the gaming world around them has chang...

I find it alarming how some people used to list Vita games with no firm release dates to try and counter all the negativity yet won't take that into consideration with the Wii U. Double standards?

It's way too early to be calling Wii U a failure just like it was for the Vita.

It's like they can't enjoy anything unless they can convince everyone how great it is, and if anyone says anything negative they take it personal.

"So you like having to switching battery's and having to get rechargeable ones?"

I don't like having to pay for extra batteries but it is really convenient to simply put in another pack or batteries and keep playing wireless. I imagine they will have rechargeable built-in like everyone else now.

Hideo Kojima said the same thing about the PS3 but MGS4 turned out fine. The PS4 sounds like it will have more than enough power for a game console.

I want to see them make good games and not just focus on the technical aspects. This is one of the issues with Crytek, it's always about how it looks meanwhile Crysis is just an average game.

They always want more but there will always be sacrifices made. Sony doesn't want to come out with an $800 game co...

You're right, lets compare PS3 sales to the busy time if the year and not now against Wii U sales. Makes perfect sense.

Good to see Vita sales continue to do well and not just a blip. Nintendo needs to get some strong titles for the Wii U and then it should start to pick up and sell at a steady rate.

The speculations and frenzy we see on forums really doesn't amount to much. What matters is what happens at the retail end. There will be plenty of time for consumers to decide which one to get or more than one system.

Some people are just impatient. I like being surprised, often E3 is ruined because of so many early leaks. You're right, Microsoft should not react to the PS4 announcement just for the sale of trying to be relevant. They should stick to their original p...

Not sure how good the controller was when they updated it with the spin style d-pad but the original wasn't that good.

They do need to update the controller but keep it fairly consistent with the original 360. I expect a few more tweaks and perhaps some new type of function. What I would like to see is some more personalization where you can apply whatever button you want for any game. Meaning if a game has the A button for jump I can make it so that every game I play ma...

I sure hope we don't start seeing $70 games. I wonder who will be confident enough to be the first? What I do see is more stripping of the game and being shifted to DLC.

The Indie scene is where you will see some great ideas come to life. I play a ton of Steam games that don't get the marketing like Bioshock: Infinite does but they are a lot of fun.

Microsoft will have to be more open and want a better relationship with the Indie development. There's a lot of talent and innovation coming from them. They should also offer greater benefits for being a Gold member instead of having everything behind a pay-wall.

Rocky start, strong finish. Sony did a good job turning things around and look to be coming out very strong for the PS4.

I hope Microsoft hasn't been taking advice from EA on how to deliver a game console otherwise it would require to be always on. They would likely tell Microsoft to sell the controller separately and the manual to set it up through DLC only.

First we had Vita needs saving articles after a few months it was released. Then we had Wii U articles need saving appear even faster after it was released and now we're seeing Xbox 720 needs saving articles before it's even of...

"We also had a budget for this game of only 500 million dollars, so we had to go with a platform that would allow for cheaper development than the home consoles."

Sounds plausible.
