Where is Crysis 3, Tiger Woods 14, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear: Revengeance, Dead Space 3, Devil May Cry? Those are recent games on other platforms.
Nintendo keeps saying they learned their mistakes, not to have long hauls with no games to play and yet here we are. On top of that they get older titles, add some Gamepad features, and want to charge $60 again.
So if they can't compete right now with the software on the PS3 and Xbox 360 how do they plan on compe...
People are very vocal sometimes on forums and whether that translates into having an impact at the retail end remains to be seen. How many times do we see comments about Call of Duty and the negative press it gets on the forums yet it sells more than all the other releases? How many times do we see people talking about exclusive games and how much they matter yet at the retail end only a few actually sell that well? Want to know how much impact there was over Diablo III and how it required an...
Some people want a game to have the exact same people working on it, with the exact same actors voicing the characters, in a whole new world but not to stray from it's roots, the cover art to be perfect, the game to be in a totally new world but still have all the familiarity as the old one, with at least 20 hours of gameplay with no repetition, no micro-transactions, with no interference from the publisher, not to be dumbed down on the console if a weaker console also exist even though w...
Does Sony get the same amount of hate for having them?
I own a Xbox 360 as well and if you look through my comments I an not a hater of Microsoft like we see way too often here on N4G. The thing is I don't trust an always online system. I've gone through the Playstation Network hack and issues on Xbox Live as well. I also don't like all of my content locked. The console suppliers have shown they cannot compete with a service like Steam.
You also have to ignore the forum dwellers that the article talks about. You get ...
I guess if people think he's an idiot or always says stupid things then its best just to ignore him. The more press and the attention he gets the more likely he will be somewhat relevant. I just think a lot of what he says is what most people would think anyways. Sometimes, although quite rare, he does offer some insight that I don't know from being connected.
So why were they in Resistance 3?
Some of what he says is pretty outlandish and some of it is actually spot on. Not sure why he deserves to be attacked.
I think some people are just too passionate about gaming and let their emotions get the best of them. He surveys the market, looks at trends and makes predictions. I also believe some people don't like hearing such harsh criticism even if it's true.
What I personally don't like about the guy is he seems to be pompous and arrogant....
I was just commenting on the article. Nothing wrong with that. You could use all of my 10 replies towards a Nintendo fanboy and a Microsoft fanboy. They all seem to have the same patterns.
1. When you feel the need to defend everything, even constructive criticism.
2. You label anyone a Xbot that doesn't share your same passion.
3. You can't think of anything they have done wrong.
4. You always feel the need to attack the competition.
5. You take what people say you don't agree with personally.
6. You will buy their products blindly right away.
7. You scroll through...
Can't we all just get along?
Microsoft will have to get their act together. The Indie scene is where you will find some real innovation and some very talented people. It's time to drop the red tape and for them to actually listen to people.
They mention the game Journey but oddly enough they will be going multiplatform. Maybe after they have some experience working with Microsoft they will go back to just supporting Sony.
It's not just Sony fans but also current Xbox 360 owners. If it requires an online connection to work then a lot of people will write it off. What I do agree with is not to have knee-jerk reactions until we get official details on everything we should have clarification on. That includes the PS4. Sony hasn't revealed everything either, although what they have shown and said is very positive so far.
"t's a rae occasion that an online gaing experience is fair as there is always something that gives the other team an upper hand"
That's called being better by being more organized and working together. It is unfair to put people in matches against better players, Halo tries to match players based on skill. Some games also have unbalanced weapons which is why they often 'nerf' them with updates.
Not sure if they should fire the guy. He didn't mention the new Xbox did he?
That's because they listened to what developers wanted this time and seen what the issues were with the PS3.
I guess we'll have to. Sony already dropped BC on the newer PS3's so we kinda knew going forward this might be an issue on the PS4 as well.
Agreed. It was a big game back then.
Or
3. The PS4 will be $600 just like the PS3 was.
It's going to get interesting. The $99 Xbox 360 could be a big seller. The next Xbox might not be if it requires an online connection at all times.
Sony is getting very positive feedback so far and have the best momentum moving forward with the PS3. If they can price the PS4 competitively and have a strong launch they could take the lead early.
The Wii U is currently struggling and the rumours of the next Xbox are not very positive from a gamers perspective. However nothing is ever a guarantee. Sony had incredible momentum leading up to the PS3 and that wasn't a runaway success. Plus with consumers being so multi-med...
