This discussion isn't about the RAM, is the eSRAM.
And what are you talking about 5gb's vs 7GB's? Are you comparing it to the ps4? If so, you should know the ps4 OS, also uses 3GBs of RAM... Not that any that matters, the most taxing PC games never reach 4GBs.
'Spending money to distinguish your product from the many... Is iscompetition.'
That statement counters his own argument. Having exclusives does distinguish the product.
This whole 3rd party versus 1st party exclusive argument holds no weight. Whether MS is paying EA for titanfall, or Sony is buying Media Molecule whole, either way, the companies are paying to bring content to their device exclusively... And that content is what distinguishes them. ...
A free gift isn't a middle finger to anyone. I would love to have something free, been with Xbox live since the month after it was introduced, but I didn't receive an email. Still, I don't feel like Microsoft owes me anything free.
I don't see how people can try to turn a free gift into a negative.
Project Spark has ALOT in common with game globe... But I see nothing wrong with having more than one game in the same genre. The nice thing about Project Spark is that you can design games to be played on PC, Xbox Consoles, and mobile devices, or any combination of the 3.
One major difference between the two is gameglobe requires a amount of grinding before users have the tools to build more impressive games of their own. So either they play through a bunch of other people ...
Man I would love to get this email. Save me $500 bucks, which I'd spend on an xb1 game and a PS4.
I've been on Xbox live since the month after it was introduced, haven't gotten an email though :(
Of the two titles, COD appears to be the one that is rushed. The fact that it performs horribly, regardless of platform, leads me to believe that.
Wait so an online game won't work if the servers are down? How is that any different from how things are now?
Not to mention it appears MS has created work arounds for developers to utilize. Host migration perhaps...
Sounds like this statement was about why developers are dealing with on the back end, not what users will experience.
Welp as long as this trash keeps selling, they'll never take the time to upgrade the crappy engine... Oh well...
I'm sure we all can agree that COD:ghosts should not be used for any benchmarking. The game runs/looks like shit on all platforms, despite being technically in unimpressive in every sense of the word. There are so many reasons NOT to buy, regardless of what your console of choice is.
If people would stop handing ACTIVISION money, despite their insistence that IW regurgitate entries into this tired franchise instead of making a decent engine, this wouldn't be happening...
If they've got the time after getting the ground game how they want it, there's no reason not to focus on the finer details.

What's killing the industry is the idea that all retail games need to be $60 bucks. With a more flexible pricing scheme, AA Titles would be able to coexist financially with AAA titles. Many of these mid ranged companies are pricing themselves out of existence.
The insistence from MS, Sony, and Nintendo to collect the same royalties from games regardless of how much publisher charges for it, is a huge reason for this pricing issue.
I'm having a hard time believing this article exists... I'm dreaming right?
Many songs aren't available on YouTube due to copy right issues. Xbox Misic gives access to a ridiculously large catalogue of songs.
I'm not sure how this is t riskier than any other online service. The killzone servers could go down, the bf4 servers could go down, the destiny servers could go down.... the chances of titan fall servers going down doesn't make it any riskier a proposition than any other online game.
What time we'll these vids be up? That's the question!
I think Microsoft has every intention of aggressively pricing the machine, but they don't HAVE to yet. Not while the demand is so high.
This is the first console gen ever where two makers were not taking a hit on every console sold. Microsoft will go back to that model if it appears they have to after a couple of months. But from the looks of things, demand will justify the price tag until after the spring. To ifs consumers, It might appear MS is being greedy, but from a...
I feel like they SHOULD do that! Then they could avoid the comparisons to 2k
I gotta disagree. Voice commands allow the buttons to be used for other things. I feel stupid trying out Siri, but that's because Siri sucks. But I use Google now all the time. Simply asking "who won the ravens game last night" is unarguably better than taking my gloves off and searching for the answer, manually.
In a game like battlefield, voice commands are instantly less cumbersome than trying to utilize the command wheel.
When it works well,...
But you can play all of those games right now, without having to buy a $400 console.
Again that argument still holds no weight. This isn't about wether or not 3rd party exclusives won't be able to take advantage of the hardware (which is BS anyway), its about whether exclusives in general are anticompetitive.
Whether or not SONY buys the studio, or MS pays a studio to develop specifically for them, doesn't change the fact that they are PAYING to have exclusive content.
Gears of War is a perfect example of a 3rd party taking advant...
