"They have speculated that the company might not be able to release new franchise titles, such as Dead Space and Mirror's Edge, on time nor are they confident the games will sell well."
They should spend more time on gaming forums. There's a lot of excitement around both of those titles, far as I can tell. I know I'll be buying them both on their respective release nights.
In other news, downloadable rentals have remained flat, because the number of people willing to pay $5 for a highly-compressed, 720p rental they only get to watch once doesn't seem to be skyrocketing.
Sounds like a bug to me. :P
Monopoly = bad. Competition = good.
Why do these stupid articles keep getting approved?
I was just thinking the same thing. Most of these screens have been out for a while...This site's just fishing for free hits.
I can't tell you who writes these articles, but I can tell you who doesn't...English majors. :P
If they're making money on it, they really don't care what you think. :P
Either could my brother. He's a die-hard PC gamer, and he swears that he's going to buy a PS3 when this game comes out. :P
Yeah, motion blur kinda kills the impact of screenshots, but makes it look a million times better.
Funny you should say that. I've never once had trouble joining a game in Resistance. :P
I'm hoping for some of the motion blur and lighting effects from Killzone 2. :D
It's going to be one hell of a gorgeous game.
It says a lot that all the Playstation fanboys hate 1up for being biased toward the Xbox, and all the Xbox fanboys hate 1up for being biased toward the Playstation.
Every time a company sells out on the DLC front, their game magically turns into a rental to me. :P
"Games For Windows Live Is Now Free, Should Xbox Live Follow Suit?"
Yes, but it won't. You already bought the platform. You don't have a choice in the matter. That's the nice thing about open platforms like the PC. There is always competition, where there isn't on the consoles because they're closed platforms.
Nice, but I'd like to see higher-res screens.
The only improvements I'd really like to see are cross-game voice chat and cross-game invites. If they'd add those two features, I'd be pretty happy with the PSN, and everything else would be gravy.
I'd wait to see what the PS3 version's price point will be. If they expect a full $60 for it, then buy the 360 version. I'm sure it can be picked up for a song right now.
"Who cares if it will have better anti-aliasing, that was really needed last generation with the ps2."
Battlefield: Bad Company is 720p with no AA. If you can look at that game and see a buttery smooth picture, you should get your eyes checked.
AA is needed in this generation, too. Trust me.
Is it wrong that I didn't read the article because I didn't want to give Bruce a free hit for trolling N4G? :P
If I remember correctly, the PS3 version of Mirror's Edge is the lead. That makes it highly unlikely that it will have similar problems to the Orange Box port because, well, it won't be a port.
