Yeah, but they screwed up ONCE, when the PS3 had a much smaller install base, so that proves conclusively that EA is a horrible company and that their employees eat babies.
/sarcasm
If reviews for the PS3 version are good, I'll pick up a copy. The game looks interesting.
I have a feeling that any ports they do from here on out will be good, given that PS3 owners are a good chunk of their revenue now.
Tomorrow they're going to announce that Versus is, in fact, going cross-platform. Oh, wait, they're saving that for next E3. >.<
I'm a lot more interested in the price they're going to charge than I am in the art they're putting on the box.
More new and exciting Halo spinoffs are in the pipeline.
I just hope it has an RSS reader. If it does, I pretty much won't need my PC anymore. :P
Even the freaking box is gorgeous. This game can't come soon enough.
Does it make good use of surround sound?
You can find full resolution screenshots at killzone.com. Heck, I've been using some of those as my wallpaper. ;)
I have a feeling that Life with Playstation *is* in 2.42, but it won't be activated until the 31st. The video store was probably in 2.41, we just didn't see it until E3.
This seems likely, especially in light of the fact that the PSN is going to have some down time today. Updating servers for the new feature, perhaps?
10 year lifecycle =/= 10 year generation. :P
They're saying that they'll keep cranking out games for it up to ten years after its launch, not that they'll refrain from releasing a new console for ten years. The PS2 wasn't out for ten years before the PS3 came out, but it's still on a ten year lifecycle, because they're still going to support it up to the ten year point.
"Why he thinks 360 owners want or would settle for games that won't push the 360's hardware is beyond me."
Here's a secret...He really doesn't give a damn about what 360 owners want. He works for the competition. :P
I'll wait for confirmation from a more reliable source. Still, it's exciting if true, although I've got the Orange Box on PC.
Difference being that there weren't 14.5 million of them in the wild last year. ;)
It does seem a little strange, but maybe it's because the PS3 has fewer games out for it right now. That'd lead to much higher uptake of anything new because there's not a tremendous back catalog to contend with, like on the 360.
I know I've given Bad Company a much longer look than I would have normally simply because I'm tiring of CoD4, and there isn't a long list of other options for me to fall back on.
I'll keep your opinion in mind when I'm enjoying the hell out of Dead Space and Mirror's Edge. :P
I really enjoyed the Appleseed movies, thank you very much. :P
If visuals weren't important, there would be no reason to upgrade to a new generation of consoles. :P You can talk about great story and gameplay all you want, but people do want good graphics from new hardware.
To answer the subject line...No, we should adamantly oppose game delays to the detriment of game quality. Who cares if it runs like crap if we get it NOW, RITE?!
