Technically speaking, any sales at all would be considered "skyrocketing" on a product that was just made available. Going from 0 units sold to any number at all is an awful big increase. :P
I'll hold out for PS3 version reviews before I pass judgment, but I have a feeling that they're making this claim for marketing purposes.
I love Jim Sterling. :P
I just hope Project Origin runs better on the PS3 than FEAR did. :P
I really hope you meant to say hammer. I'd hate to think Kratos spent a little too much time in truckstop bathrooms.
I wish they'd had a handle on the screen tearing problems in Uncharted. That game would have been perfect if they had.
We'd probably instantly go insane and suicide if we suddenly started using 100% of our brains. The world is an ugly, ugly place, and ignorance truly is bliss - we're better off stuck at 10%, incapable of grasping the reality of our situation. ;)
Silogon's just trying to get some bubbles back, don't mind him. ;)
Streaming video tends to get compressed pretty heavily, too.
Nice, another thing to add to the mountain of reasons I think Don Reisinger is clueless.
"Sony's gaming division is quickly becoming a drain on its financial stability and shareholder confidence"
Someone should keep tabs on things he blogs about. Their games division turned a profit this quarter.
Moving on...
Yeah, The Darkness was a really great game. The shooting mechanics could have been better, in my opinion, but the powers you got from the Darkness combined with the excellent story kept me playing it through to the end. It's actually the game I was most looking forward to when I picked up a console, since it never made it to PC.
Reminded me a lot of Requiem: Avenging Angel. An FPS, plus a whole host of new and unique ways to kill people. What's not to like?
I really ...
Bioshock just looks like a reimagination of Requiem: Avenging Angel to me.
Fanboys care. This isn't News 4 Gamers anymore. This is News 4 Fanboys. :/
If they do port L4D, I'm sure it'll end up better than the Orange Box. Developers don't magically become LESS experienced with an architecture over time, and software tools don't DEVOLVE as a generation of hardware ages.
Give 'em another chance, people. No one's asking you to buy the game on release night, but you really should wait for reviews of the port before you judge it. :P
Ask SE where your PS3 JRPGs are. They're the "neutral" company that're cranking out two exclusives for the 360 and only one for the PS3...Which is years away from release, at best.
I'd be really glad to see a Max Payne 3.
There's a fairly obvious reason that Microsoft isn't making a lot of first-party exclusives...They can only make so many Halo games at a time.
They don't just need first-party exclusives. They need some fresh IPs. Recycling Master Chief over and over again is going to get really stale after a while. :P
But they EXIST. How about that? :P
Positive feedback for working "colonic irrigation" into your post.
CoD4 is cross-platform. That's an auto-win with me. ;)
