I don't think there will ever be that Roger Ebert of game criticism. The era of technology has come so fast and has given voices to so many people that I don't think that one person will rise above others and distinguish himself like Ebert did. Anyone can become a critic now with it being so easy to make blogs and videos. Opinions and views are so varied that anyone in the industry will that can distinguish themselves will be equally loathed and loved. Adam Sessler is the closet thin...
I think this article is missing something. There was a report that the producer met with the girl who started the original petition. He said they wanted to do it, but it will take time. They didn't want to just thrown them in the game as some tacked on exhibition mode. He wanted to make sure it made sense when they added them they had enough womens teams and leagues to have the full capacity of features.
If the majority of N4G disagrees with him then I know he's right.
Looking over that list of companies, and the consumerist article its laughable that EA wins this. We are talking about video games here. Maybe they are the worst company among the industry, but compared to some of the banks, cable providers, and large retail chains, and Facebook they are not even close to the worst. Being that it was an online vote, there was a greater chance that the demographic reached found their games to be more important than their banking.
I think it would do a lot for goodwill if gave a few maps from previous games as free DLC. I'm dreaming though, they'll get money wherever they can.
The guys video is made from the first few minutes of the game and then he doesn't even say what he thinks is the "bro" stuff. From the looks of it, everything is going to be "bro" to him. The first Army of Two game is your pinnacle of "bro".
I think part of the problem is people assume those that play games like a variety of games, and that just not true. Gaming hit a surge with with Xbox live, Halo 3, and COD4. And that has turned a large portion of the market into the COD crowd. All they care about is COD or another similar online shooter. They don't care about Skyrim or Mass Effect. They might buy the yearly Madden, and that's about it. I'm in my 30's. Gaming since Atari 2600. I love the variety. All my friends...
I'm happy if multiplayer leaves on some games. Just like I can do without some co-op modes or horde style modes. I know devs do it to keep their game relevant in the market longer. I at least applaud them for trying new things. I just wish they would put that effort into adding more to the single player. Give us a reason to play it more than once through. Or add more variety, exploring, and side quests to games. I already put a crap ton of hours into COD and Battlefield, I go to Tomb Raid...
Once I heard the Army them and saw the jacked up 4 at the end it confirmed it as fake in my mind.
Toss up. Each system has pictures where it looked better. As usual the differences are so small it doesn't matter. And you really won't notice them live versus a still image. Fanboys feel free to click disagree now.
No need to worry here. Just like BF3, they advertised the beta with MOH. By the time the beta rolled around there were so many ways to get in it, it was pretty much open to anyone who could work a controller.
Still can't beat the songs from Bad Company 1.
Why does her sexuality have to even come up in the game? It doesn't matter if she is gay or straight. Leave it alone. Don't try to shove something in there when its not necessary. Not everything has to be a platform for your beliefs and ideas, no matter which side they fall on.
The best part is them acting tough because they won at a video game.
I was always an Xbox first guy since the first Xbox came out. Within the last two years I started switching to Playstation more. So far I like the Playstations direction, and I'm not feeling the Xbox direction. Its wait and see but I don't like the potential Kinect heavy, entertainment not games first, anti used games direction of Xbox.
Oh,Its written by Stephen Totilo. That explains it. Putz.
I feel the same way. I keep telling myself to come here only to get an aggregate of headlines, but I always find myself ending up down here in the slums.
It seems like many people expected this to be like E3. It wasn't supposed to be about seeing everything the PS4 can do and all the games. It was exactly as intended...an event formally announcing the PS4 and the future of the PS brand. You'll get plenty of games at E3.
People like the VGchartz stats when they say what they want them to say, hate them when they don't. So what other source shall we use? Even if they are not 100% accurate, the margin of error is probably small. And for the purpose of armchair analysts arguing among themselves like it actually means anything to their lives, VGchartz is a more than adequate source.
Interesting. I see that as an accurate assessment. I see junior movie bloggers and critics and even serious movie always looking up to and inspired by those more established critics. Take a look around the next and so many gamers have no respect for the more established in the industry. I feel like so many gamers in general, when it comes to any discussion believes themselves to be more knowledgeable than anyone else. In fairness, not all game journos and critics are not what would be consid...
