The same types have articles have come from the likes of CNN and NBC. The President and Vice President, have had similar things to say and nobody makes a peep about it. Fox does it and every flips out. Media Matters has proclaimed themselves as anti-Fox crusaders. Think there is not going to be any bias and spin there. We have too many people blindly following one side or the other, and believing the media and politicians from their chosen side are always right and the others are always wrong...
Sony helping with the development of this is akin to Microsoft helping with Titanfall which most people assume will come to PS4 in the future. Capcom is the dev and the publisher on this game. While they may not have any plans now, or anything to announce the door is open for this to be multiplat in the future. If Sony was the publisher on DD, the way Microsoft is on Dead Rising 3, I would say no way you see this on Xbox. If it does go to XB, it won't be for awhile, but the possibility i...
Consoles stopped becoming just game machines when the PS2 could also play DVD's , and their features have been expanding ever since. The idea that the only feature you are allowed to advertise is games is ridiculous. Whats even more ridiculous is that the people complaining already know all about what each consoles features and games are. The advertisements are not for you.
Reserves are not sales, even if paid in full. The transaction is not complete until the item is handed to the customer at the store or is shipped in the case of a online order. All there are now are pending sales and reserves. Even then you are talking 1-2 million for launch day for the hardcore fans. The war is the full console cycle where consoles will sell 50-100million and things will happen in 2-3 years you had no idea would happen today. Yes the PS4 has the advantage, but lets not make ...
If he hates that, he really loved when XBone players are called Xboners. Even though I'm getting the One, the name sucks. I feel like Infinity was the choice early on, but they wanted to surprise people came up with what they thought was so clever.
Winning the war? A single console hasn't even been sold. So far Sony is winning the propaganda campaign, but not as much as they were. Launch and the first holiday season will be your first battle. Lets look at the results after a few years. People forget how much things can change over one console cycle.
It would seem like there is alot more than Xbox shenanigans there. Like why is Saudi Arabia the number one country with more than double that of the US? And who is leading there? Probably some shady business all the way around.
As a fan of both I'm looking forward to Battlefield 4 more and have been leaning the Battlefield way since Bad Company, but I've heard this argument for years. I don't see it happening, but it will be closer than its been in the past. No doubt I'll be buying both and playing a ton of both.
I think two factors really play in. The AVERAGE consumer is more likely to keep buying sequals to the game they already play than switch to something new. And second, the w...
I'll admit I like a new COD every year, and the only annual sports I play is FIFA. As a fan I see all the differences from year to year that many just write off as just the same game. I play so much of them in a short amount of time that I'm ready for the new one in a year.
But those are exceptions. I think that only works in games that sell as much as they do or have mutiple developers. Assassins Creed did not work for me like that. I saw the Battlefield 3 way as id...
Even with Miley, it wasn't her outfit but her acts on stage. I really have to laugh at the outrage over this when when we routinely have actresses wearing the most provocative outfits they can at red carpets events. I wonder if any people outraged are also readers of Fifty Shades of Grey.
Turn on the tv and you see women choosing to dress similar to this all over the place. Put a wig an some face paint on here and I might mistake her for Lady Gaga. Should those women stop because other women get offended? More overreaction. Calling it disgusting and exploitative is stretching it. Go to Europe or Japan and the would laugh at this. But here in the US everything is a offensive now. It seems as though the only way anyone in the idustry can make a female character without getting i...
I'm sorry, but playstations and xboxes have always been more than just strictly games machines. Ever since the PS2 came out and it could play DVD's things have been different. Yes these are primarily game machines, but that doesn't mean you can't talk or advertise the other things too. Its like saying you could never advertise PS3 as a Blu-ray player also. More ridiculous fanboy crap.
While the PS4 will launch 2.5 times as many countries as the Xbox, that does not necessarily mean they will have 2.5 times the sales. Many of the additional countries the PS4 is launching in are much smaller markets. The ps4 should still come out ahead on sales this holiday season, but I wouldn't bet on it being a massive landslide.
This is the writer at Kotaku seeing things as they want to see them, instead of how they are. The employees are not forbidden from playing or mention other games and platforms. I've seen and heard Major Nelson talk about playing playstation and wii games on his twitter and podcast. Does that mean they are claiming them as xbox games? I remember when Kotaku was decent, but all those people moved on.
At minimum they should put 3 months of XBL in each console. A year would be fantastic. Another think we don't think of is a remote. For launch 360's there was a small media remote in the package. Since this is a blu-ray player/tv box now a remote in the package would be nice. 3 months xbl+remote+standard version of Killer Instinct(not just Jago and not the Deluxe $40 version) and you would have nice bundle for at least the launch window consoles. Will they do this...no.
I get people having a preference. But the frenzy that people work themselves is madness. Gaming arguments are getting to be right up there with politics, religion, and sports.
Finally. I would have preferred it sooner just because I want it sooner. But the 22nd is better than the Black Friday rumor. Regardless of either consoles launch, its not really going to matter in the long run. We should hope for both consoles to be successful, in the end we all benefit.
Black Friday would be the worst day possible next to Christmas Eve. The stores are already going to be overloaded. No way they want to add a console release at all the Gamestops, Best Buys, and Walmart. Places that will already be packed. They want to get it out before then so they can fill all their preorders and then have consoles to sell to the regular customers by Black Friday. I don't buy the 27th as the date either. Shaniele the customer service rep is not enough for me. Shes not do...
Not that I plan to pay for this, but if I was I better not see one single add on someones stream.
I wonder how many of the commenters actually watch any news or are they just going along with what they follow on twitter.
