Every time I hear someone say mobile games will take over console games, its like they are telling me skateboards will replace cars.
Okay great. 15 exclusives in the first year,8 are new IP's. So of the 7 existing you'll have Forza 5, Forza Horizon 2, Fable, Halo, and Gears, plus two others. Alan Wake maybe? How many of these 8 new IP's are AAA? How many are arcade titles? How many are Kinect focused? Its probably a mix of all 3. You know they will have some new AAA game along with Kinect Sports whatever and the next Joy Ride type game. That 15/8 sounds great, but also has the potential to be not all it seems. ...
They can say say all they want about having certain privacy settings. The only real privacy setting that matters is giving a person a choice to even take the Kinect out of the box. If they give you certain privacy settings, but you still are required have it connected, then there is still more to it than they are telling you.
Seriously fanboys? This is not a pro-xbox/anti-nintendo article. It compares the two approaches the companies take. How Microsoft took the approach of refining what they already had that worked, where Nintendo went the route of starting from scratch and building something new. Its not a knock on Nintendo, and the last sentence implies a lot of sarcasm.
I'm interested to see who grabs Test Drive. I wonder if any of publishers with large franchises grab it and pair it with existing stuff. The TD Unlimited series had some good ideas and potential, just not the the best execution. As for Atari...so many memories of gaming with just a stick and a button.
I agree people were missing the point. It quickly turned into an argument about what military personnel should be doing with their free time. The sailors on ship was merely an example that points to the larger issue that all Xbox One gamers will have to deal with. This this is going to require some type internet connection regularly. While they may sugarcoat it and dance around the question...this is about DRM and trying to kill the used game market.

So after reading the article its not really coming to Xbox, its just available through the web browser like everything else. Calm down people. No way would Microsoft allow a porn app. But what people look at with the browser is their business.
Agreed. They always had the standard news and advertising on xbox. com, but it was generic. Major Nelson and the now defunct Gamerscore blog added some more community stuff, but things were just all over the place. The Playstation blog has always been great.

I'd have to counter JP1369 and say its not being sensitive. The whole point of forums and comment sections is to provide discussion. The common sense thing would be have discourse on why they disagree with you. However big or small the reason, there is a reason.
The rumor of a prequel involving Ghost has been around for two years. I would have believed that but since its called GHOSTS and the community manager just put out the twitter hashtag #TheGhostsAreReal, I'd bet on the "squad of ghosts" idea. I imagine they will all have the ghost mask, possibly in honor of Ghost. I can just imagine the uproar if they do indeed have a squad called "Ghosts" like in Ghost Recon.
The problem with this, as with Kinect is the assumption that everyone has a large living room where the console is set up. Some have too small or to large of a living room. What about kids in bedrooms, or dorm rooms? Interesting idea though.
I'm not against pre-order DLC or DLC in general, but sometimes the way they do things is just not good. The fragmenting of pre-order DLC is one of them. Its the fans that always come out on the short end with this stuff. You have to make a choice between retailers, and then have to wait sometimes months for the other stuff to be released. I've seen a lot of evidence about this. If it does turn out to be true..I'm am really disappointed. Lobo sounds great. But I want more unique characters. How does Zod not have the same powerset as Superman? Batgirl sould be the same as Batman, and why do we need MK characters? There are so many DC characters you can add without throwing ones in there from outside the DC universe. Zod should be nothing more than a skin. People always complain about trade in values being a ripoff. No one is screwing you over when trading a game is optional. Thats the price, take it or leave it. There is no ripoff. The value reflects the market. If there is no demand for it, they can't give you a high price and then get stuck with a bunch of copies they cant sell. This is pretty much just a representation of our society these days. Religious, non-religious, liberal, conservative, black, white...it doesn't matter. People are always going to overlook the things they want to and then go get offended by something else. As much as some want to think they are above it, everyone is guilty of it in some way or another.
I think when we look at new characters, we should want some that are not going to bring the same traits as people in the game. Do we need any other Green Lanterns? Would Bizarro or Power girl just be Superman in a different skin?
How about Firestorm, Booster Gold, Steel, Martian Manhunter, Dr. Fate, Metallo, Poison Ivy, Starfire, or Zatanna.
Why is anyone surprised? They have re-released the game with first DLC as far back as COD4. But calling it a GOTY edition is dumb.
