I love watching the frenzy that happens with articles like this. Damn fanboys act like any remake against whatever beloved console or game you like is a personal attack against you. All the bickering with do nothing for you or your console. At the most you might get a little high blood pressure.
Good for shooters, or is this controller better or worse than another controller is strictly up to the person holding the controller and playing the game.
Oh boy, I'm sure nothing can get out of hand in the comments with a article like this.
I looked around some. Sony is saying their(DCUO and Planetside) won't be, but its up to the publisher for others.
Regardless of online requirements, most console gamers will have a Xbox Live or PS+ membership. Another sub might not fly. If PC gamers who are already used to this from other games don't latch on, console gamers certainly won't.
I know people keep mentioning the idea that Microsoft is paying them not to say anything about servers on PS4. But that makes no sense. This is not like securing an exclusive content deal. If Activision and Sony have anything worked out for servers there is nothing Microsoft can do to prevent Sony from talking about it themselves.
Maybe Sony has something already lined up and are not ready to talk about it. Maybe nothing at all.
I don't know if console gamers are the subscription MMO type. Both the ONE and PS4 will require people to pay for online multiplayer, so another sub on top of that is probably not going to fly. I tired DC Universe Online on the ps3 when it was on a mandatory sub. Once it went F2P that game really took off and I played it a lot more. I spent a fair amount of money on it too, just at my own discretion.
That used to be the case, but I don't these console releases are like that past. Things have changed a lot. With both consoles launching at roughly the same time, I'm sure MS and Sony have things in place so they don't release with a severely limited supply. MS said November already, so they already had things on track. If they were locked to a specific date they could just announce it. They could have been waiting for Sony to go first, or maybe just waiting for more supply orien...
Buying new armor and weapons for arena combat. Where have I seen this before...oh right, when I bought God of War:Acension. Lets call it what it is, you can earn the stuff or pay for an early unlock. You can do that in BF3. Who do you think came up with this idea? Microsoft or maybe the people who actually make the game, CRYTEK. People act like this has been going on in last gen by most all companies.
It was not a reaction to E3 or preorders. Preorders are limited by the supply allocation. Its an attempt to pull more of the European market. Xbox has had the advantage in North America, but not everywhere else. Clearly its a move swing some of the european buyers who are on the fence.
I don't think it matters other than for fanboy bickering. The strength of the console and brand is measured over years, not one day. They have already narrowed it to November. By that time, people that are buying either console on launch already know which system they want. Nobody is going to be waiting to buy system X and suddenly switch to system Y because they have to wait a week or two.
My feeling was they were waiting so see Sony's date, and are now going to laun...
Reading the article, its seems the guy is really struggling to grasp that the full game and pay per character model can co-exist. Double Helix said people could buy the full game or as individual characters right from the very start. So the idea that it came about from fan backlash can go out the window.
I'll be buying the full game, but its to see how the per character model would be advantageous to people who may be new to fighters, unsure of the game, or only like on...
They do not say its a exclusive title. The page on the site is the "Games" page. They make one statement about their exclusive games. They do not say all the games below are exclusive. Are you people here that stupid or that blinded by fanboy hate?
Yes I understand it was a play on words. An bad and unnecessary one. Often a writer can try to be too clever and it undermines the point of their writing.
The title of the article kind of goes against the point of the article. Ponytails are not exclusive to women, nor are women defined by Ponytails.
Just from my observation since the announcement, I would say the reception has been mostly positive except for the collection of people who already harass women once the find one is in the game with them. I'm more concerned with the potential outcry of people once more game videos come out showing female characters being shot ...
Its hilarious watching all the fanboys fall all over themselves.
The old saying "love is blind" has to be changed to "hate is blind" when it comes to N4G.
Too many people will cling to the early sales numbers and proclaim victory. Until consoles are readily stocked on shelves the supply will always hinder the perception the demand. It doesn't matter if 2 million for you and 1 million for the competition. If your supply is 500,000 and theirs is 1 million, all you can sell is 500,000. Supply issues are always the biggest factor in the first year. Unless you are WiiU.
And if the brick doesn't? Look for another problem. There must always be something sinister and hidden right? Is it impossible for things to just be what they are? In these instances they are listening to the people before it has a chance to hurt their wallets. Just like people who always complain, some will find a way to only see only the negative things and ignore any of the positive.
People complain about the policies, then complain when they change them. They good put a brick of gold in every box and some would find reason to complain.
Has anyone ever cared about FCC certification before someone started making fanboy blog posts about it?
