I think the term is 'rose tinted'.. But I accept your point.
I understand many people choose not to use loot boxes, therefore they don't consider them an issue. But sometimes in life it's useful if we look after each other, not just ourselves. This is a bad idea for gamers, period. Is it gambling? I would say yes, some say no. That's suggests we need some level of regulation. Maybe a classification system would work. So any game that just contains cosmetic loot boxes has one classification, while a game the gives advantages through their loot...
Cross platform with PS4 & XB would be good. It might even help reduce the fanboy nonsense. But lets face it, it's not going to break gaming if it doesn't happen
Oh that is just so, peachy!
Hmm. best selling or best performing, now which should I go for. See, that's the trouble with fan boys it's no win. Enjoy your PS4, I enjoy mine. And I'll also enjoy my X1X, but I won't be slagging the Pro in order to.
I hope this has nothing to do with buying loot boxes!
I disagree. Not buying the game will have significant impact. And I dispute your assumptions. Biggest problem is the large percentage of people who say they aren't going to buy, but do. In that respect, I agree with you that there are enough people buying the loot boxes. ESRB have stated loot boxes do not constitute gambling, but how often do we see articles of youngsters sinking lots of their parents hard earned cash on these things. Something we should be concerned about.
Yeah, it's political. But is it relevant? Err, No. May be a great game, but it's not making any political points. Well, none that I can see.
I have my Scorpio edition on order, as I stated before. If it wasn't for the fact that I can play my X1 stuff at better quality, with lots of them having new assets and resolutions. Then yeah, I wouldn't of bothered with it at this point.TBH the only exclusive I'm really looking forward to is SOD 2. I think that will be really good, and maybe SOT. MS are in trouble if they don't get their finger out, sure. But not everything is about exclusives IMO.
Style over substance? Go speak with Apple to see how that works out. MS' major problem imo, isn't software or even hardware. It's packaging! People want MS stuff, they just don't want it how MS likes to deliver it. MS don't want to sell a box that plays games, they want to sell you a box that plays games, but only if you do this or that as well. Eventually, dictating to your customer will always fail. Apple is being outsold by Android for first time ever. Industry is getti...
So a PC then? I understand your sentiment, but look through console history at ADD-ONS. Didn't go well, did it. Thing with consoles is their uniformity. The reason why X1X will utilize more of it's memory for games, than PC, is because of a constant spec for all X1X's. I agree with you on price point though. And I think next gen upgrades will be cheaper. At least we will definitely get BC for all machines going forward.
I suggest you read the reviews on STEAM before purchasing.
New revenue streams. That's the mantra. Personally, I would prefer new game innovation. Each to there own,I guess.
Or don't buy loot boxes with games attached!
And here we go again! Gamer's, for the sake of gaming, whatever your platform. DON'T buy into this crap. Cosmetic or not, it's a slippery slope. I know some will disagree, that's your choice. No hate to gamers
Holy crap! I agree with this guy! Knew it would happen eventually, XiNatsuDragnel :)
They can be bypassed by eliminating half the game play. Yeah, good option. Or, they can be eliminated altogether by not buying the game. Buy something worthy of your cash, and worthy of good developers.
I would love to agree with the Switch purchase, but unfortunately it's too expensive for what you get. I'll wager nobody would like to play Zelda BOTW more than me, but by the time I have purchased Switch, controller, software and such, I'm getting close to XB1X price. As for the other side of the equation, well they are all much of a muchness. PS4 XB1 whatever. Only Nintendo, offers a true difference in it's software. First party stuff anyway. But for now, at current prices, ...
People have a right to choose, of course. But some things are obviously not good for gamers, period. One of these things is MTs. I keep reading, one justification for MT's is the low price of games. They haven't gone up in decades, people say. Let's take a simple fact. The vast majority of games, including AAA don't include MT's. I'm just wondering why any Devs would bother to make games if they aren't making profits from just the retail price? Does it not seem cu...
You considered the statement, that's significant. The in's and out's of it, aren't
