Devs don't NEED Loot boxes to make any profit, but they do WANT them to make a larger profit. The cost of making video games is not increasing at the rate developers would have us believe. The tools and architectures used today actually simplify development. It's not like they are creating games in assembly language or anything. It's simply devs choose to employ much larger teams than are required, because they can.
Ditto. Now we just need a couple of a million others to join our ranks to save video gaming as we know it. :)
Looking forward to receive my Scorpio edition! Holding back on 4K TV though. Currently all TV's are at best HDMI 2.0.b, which is fine for 4K up to 60HZ, but if you also have PC like me, then V2.1 is what's needed. Pleased to see XB1X, is 2.1 compatible. And next gen consoles will absolutely be 2.1 and hopefully M.2 as well.

Doesn't seem to increase the definition to me, and I have no axe to grind 'cause I don't have a switch. Then again, I'm watching at 1080, so maybe at 4K. Even then though, you wouldn't create greater definition from textures that can't provide greater definition. It does seem a little less 'blurry', but that could just be the contrast, which to me, seems to be the biggest difference anyway. C'mon guys. You must have known how this would pan out. It's Gaas after all. They will drip feed you new content just before you swear not to play it again. Look at D1, you had to buy the same game + a little extra like 3 or 4 times.
Yeah, unfortunately this stuff isn't Nintendo's strong suit. If only the hardware design was outsourced and Nintendo stick to making games. Still, it's Nintendo, I suppose the hassle is worth it for the uniqueness they bring.
Reality check. Both PS4 and XB1 UI's are crap. PS4 UI Defies any logic, and Xbox UI is never the same long enough to learn where anything is. I was just about getting used to the last update and they go and change it again! It is true however, that PS4 UI is more consistent, but not sure that helps any. At least I can find stuff, albeit, not where it should be. UI's designed by nerds, for nerds.
If the current industry leaders continue with their current policies of loot boxes, DLC, season passes etc. I can see Nintendo becoming the future champions of gamers and gaming. Well done Nintendo! Keep things FUN.

Yep. I agree. I have Scorpio on order, because I want the best console, and while I do believe MS are doing some good things which are gamer and gaming-centric. There overall strategy of Gaas, will be ultimately be disastrous for the industry. MS are really trying to manipulate the industry to there way of thinking. Of course, it started with the policy for XB1, and it really hasn't changed.
I think the game looks awesome. I was so looking forward to playing this,but.... in the latest vid Q&A session, it appears they duck the question of MT's in the game. For me, if there are MT's I'm out, period.
