So true. I've had youngsters threaten me online. So in just a few years when they are able to travel by themselves, I'll probably have to watch out.
Windows 10 and anti-cheat tools. How wonderfully ironic. What I adore about win10 is how updates reset all your privacy setting! Not that they actually do anything to begin with. They just give the illusion of privacy. The emperors new clothes of privacy, if you like. As for Cortana.. What? wait... No, no, nothing Cortana!... Got to go now, she's listening.
Yeah, and skilled players wouldn't be to pleased either. I'm always getting thrown off teams as a Noob. Simply because I'm rubbish. Not fair! You know who you are :)
Read they had considered it, but they have denied using it, haven't they? Anyway, not sure how well that would work. Don't think either participant would like that arrangement much. Whole idea of match making is to play with others at, or around your own level, isn't it?
Nintendo make 'Fun' games. The only console company really doing that. They have that corner of the market nailed. Now they just need to understand the concept of 'Value for money' and they would be unstoppable, imho. I'd be playing one right now, if it wouldn't cost be the price of an XB1X to get started!
Hmm. You must live in a world where all online opponents are mature, sensible, affable players like yourself, who just wish to enjoy a game as intended. That's not my experience. Nothing more annoying than trying to have a serious race and some semi-lunatic purposely smashes into you, with the sole intention of ruining your experience.
You would certainly think so, but no,in my experience. Although, for the 21st century, familiarity with other technologies seems more relevant. There is nothing good about stinking, polluting, cancer inducing, fossil fuel motoring. Oh, having instant access to information doesn't per se, mean you can understand it!
And your point? My point is MT's are not good for gaming, period.
Please do, but you need to be UK citizen. Currently running @ 13,700 approx, as of my post. We need 100,000 for issue to be debated in parliament.
Actually, I think your a positive Percy when it comes to this particular issue. Anyway, Destiny may not have used any specific system, but they did employ psychologists to help them make the game more addictive, I believe.
He didn't suggest(at least from my interpretation) that people weren't hardcore, or that they couldn't handle difficult games. He is merely stating they don't have the mechanical knowledge of how an internal combustion engine works. Therefore, he didn't see the point in including a particular mode into the game. Whether this is true or not, you can decide for yourselves. But as far as difficulty goes, modern games seem far too difficult to me. Almost, as if they are coveri...
Please guys. Don't make this a platform-centric issue, it isn't. ALL gamers, ALL platforms. IMO, It's not about the past either. Yes, other games have had them before without the backlash, that's true. But that's kind of the point, isn't it? It's because there wasn't a backlash that we have arrived at this point.
'That mob mentality' Don't you mean overwhelming support? Calling the opposition a mob doesn't do anyone any favours either. People feel strongly about this, as it appears, do you. I respect your opinion, but politely disagree with your stance. I do appreciate, that not all loot crates etc, may necessarily interfere with a games mechanics. However, I think people may also react more to the inclusion of these on principle, rather than the effect that any particular set of loot ...
I agree 100% Don't come on N4G saying how bad they are (loot crates +stuff) and then go right out and buy them. I do NOT buy games with any of that crap - that I'm aware of. Trouble is, publishers like to hide that sh*t from prospective purchasers, as much as they can, for obvious reasons. Although, if this becomes the norm because people don't opt out, then I don't know.
@rainslacker. I think your assessment is pretty accurate, and I guess your wife being a lawyer helps you keep relatively objective about it. In doing so, however, you highlight the weakness in the legal system, where justice is secondary. If you mention truth, you are likely to be sneered at by the courtroom barristers. You may be judged by a jury of your peers, but you are hanged by the legal system. Morality and legality, are very different animals. I hope 'truth' wins in the end fo...
I understand you feel strongly about this issue, and so do the people who disagree with you. I don't think ridicule of others helps your cause. The need to call those who disagree with you 'ignorant' is a good place to start. While it's generally best if individuals look after themselves, there are times when everyone's interest can be best served through unity. It isn't always about what's best for YOU!
I'm not anti developer, but I am pro gamer. Now is the time for gamers to make a stand. Don't buy it or any other game that let's you buy an advantage. If they have to exist, then lets get a certificate system so people know what they are getting.
Yeah, I agree. I prefer to be entertained and just have fun these days. IMO all games should have a difficulty slider, so each of us can find their ideal level. After all, difficulty in games, in the vast majority of cases, is a pretty 'dumb' affair. It essentially change how much damage you do, or how much damage is done to you. It's not really anything intelligent.
I'm sure you're aware this kind of thing is embedded within Japanese culture. There are signs of change, but it's slow. To be honest, I don't think N4G is the best forum to debate such issues, as is witnessed by your responses. But I respect your comment.
I saw this article and thought No, don't do it. :) TBH don't know which is best, driving games not my thing. However, I did read somewhere that GT is online only, or more or less that way. That's worrying for a racer, isn't it? I know it's great to race online- although the little I've played online it's more like dodgems. But online only. No campaign? Just for balance, because this isn't a Sony Vs MS comment. I downloaded Forza 7 demo. Not impressed, much like...
