C'mon guys. Do you see that turning this into a PS4 Vs Xb1 debate actually distracts from the important issue? Which is, Devs are not making games appropriate to the console hardware. 720p 60fps on both consoles is the realistic standard for this gen. Neither console is powerful enough to do 1080p 60fps,effectively. Devs should not try to squeeze PC ambitions into console capabilities -it's stupid. Can you image how good 'The Division' would be at 720p 60fps? Much, much better....
We can speculate all we want,(screen grab ugh!)but ultimately unless the NX is leading the way in the next gen then,IMO, it's dead in the water. It needs to be ahead of the game, not playing catchup. Gimmicks are not going to make a difference. I love the idea of owning an Nintendo console again, but let's not forget how Nintendo got to where they are now.I have the cash, but I'm not convinced Ninty will deliver the goods, but I wait patiently to be surprised.
With respect,if you choose to pay up to a 40% premium above physical prices AND do that in the sure knowledge that your digital games will have a very limited life span then thats your right. However, I suggest that while these figure may be true, its very likely the industry wanting a positive slant on a generally unpopular way to purchase games. I Wouldn't be surprised to find these figures include free games from PS plus and xbox live,as these Are technically purchase s. Also ,it wi...
In it's early incarnations, and for the next several years it possibly won't be true VR as we envision it.But eventually, I'm pretty sure it will become the mainstay of video gaming.Personally,I'm convinced we will reach those completely immersive and alternate realities we have always dreamed of,just not for a while.Still, at least the industry are taking it seriously now, and that's a big step forward.
New xbox with an additional feature unrelated to games, maybe. New,more powerful gaming machine, not a chance.
Yes. Intelligent people know this, although X7 seems a rather random figure without giving some kind of reference to what that means
Here's my personal assessmentof this holiday period. I own both consoles and I've been making out like a bandit! Xbox1 -Telltalgames collection £23.00,including all episodes of walkig dead, game of thrones,Wolf among us and borderlands.Xbox1-All episodes of Life is strange £8.00.PS4 Broken sword £8.00,Vanishing of Ethan carter, and Borderlands handsome collection £20.00(32GBworth) Gamers are the real winners this holiday season. But if you gotta bitch, then bitch
I'm a Destiny player.Reason is that's what my buddies like to play for multiplayer fun. Why? Lack of any serious competition in this genre. Personally, I find it very boring and repetitive, but that'sjust me,my buddies really like it. Hmm.Maybe time to get new.._
4k games on PS4 and XB1 ? Well....erm....Yeah...I guess it's poss...Wait...What? Flying pigs are real?
Lets get one thing straight. 60FPS has ALWAYS been the norm! People claiming this is only a recent issue are, I'm sorry to say, ignorant of the facts. As an assembly programmer going way back to ATARI 8 bit days,I can say all consoles and home computer outputs were tied at that time,to the display rates of CRT's. In Europe this meant 50Hz, in US 60Hz. All updates of screen displays were tied accordingly, to the vertical blank interval, or even sometimes, the horizontal blanking period,if...
Can't comment on the other games haven't played them, but Halo reach doesn't play particularly well.Played for about 30-45mins,lots of sound anomolies and screen stuttering. Not knocking the opportunity to play for free etc on X1 -I still have loads of 360 games, but that's my experience on this particular game.
Love it,got the season pass, but I need help with night missions -just can't do them! Had to stop playing.
There is no war! We're talking computer games here! Who cares what platform you play a game on. C'mon, enjoy ribbing each other if that's your thing but remember,in the real world no-one can hear you winge
I'm a really big wipeout fan,I'm just two ships off 100,000 loyalty on all ships in Wipeout HD on PS3 -still play it often. Watched a lot of fast racing neo, but it didn't gel with me.Tracks seem bland and uninspired, plus no weapons! It may be fast, but I don't think it looks any faster than 'Phantom class' on Wipeout HD. Anyway, on topic. I'm really hoping for a successor to Wipeout, may be this is it.I just hope they make it more accessible to casual gamers.Wipe...
Please, make any night missions doable by ordinary gamers like myself. I love this game, but have had to stop playing, because I've ran out of day missions and simply die the second I try night missions. I hate stealth play in games so I really get fed up trying to progress further, but it's a fantastic game,no doubt. Jusy too hard for me
This WAS one of my favs for 2015. Love the game, even purchased the season pass,BUT then I hit an unforseen snag - I ran out of day time missions! Yep, can't get any further with this now game for two reasons. Every attempt at a night time mission leaves me dead within minutes -I simply can't avoid, and don't have the means,to defeat the night beasties. This would be something I could overcome eventually I guess except, I cannot stand anything to do with stealth in games.Love rpg el...
I have a PS2 emulator on my powerful PC. I use it for one game only, wipeout fusion - a game btw, I legally own and have the disc for. This particular emulation runs BETTER than the original in hi-res and without the jaggies of the original. And, now this is the important bit, it runs on a digital large screen LCD. I have my original PS2, but that just gives me a jaggie mess when hooked up to an LCD.So, are emulators a form of piracy? They certainly can be, but that doesn't mean that's ...
Time and investment, that's all that's required.Personally, I'm convinced this will be a revolution in gaming, but probably not until it is significantly more powerful than the current efforts. I remember the very early attempts at VR way back in the Seventies! Yep it goes that far back. Even though it was way ahead of it's time and completely flopped back then, it was obvious it would revist when the technology matched the ambitions of it's creators.Good luck VR, maybe thi...
I hope people do support this device, because VR will,in time, become state of the art and the main go to systems for gaming action unfortunately, just not now.Even a current gen powerful PC rig doesn't have anywhere near the power to produce VR in line with many peoples expectations, but give it time and the support it will get there.
Dare I say it? 1080p 60fps! Joking, just joking.
